Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi banyak siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika khususnya siswa SMP. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme terhadap hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest and posttest design. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIIIE sebanyak 32 siswa. Uji analisis data menggunakan t-test dan n-gain test. Hasil uji t dengan bantuan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa sig = 0.000 0,05, nilai rata-rata klasikal mengalami kenaikan sebesar 15,63 dan berdasarkan g faktor (N-Gain) siswa mengalami peningkatan kompetensi yang cukup baik. Dengan demikian ada pengaruh metode pembelajaran scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Metode pembelajaran scaffolding berbasis kontruktivisme dapat diterapkan dalam setiap pembelajaran, karena selain dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, siswa juga akan mendapatkan variasi pembelajaran sehingga mengurangi kejenuhan dan meningkatkan semangat maupun aktivitas siswa dalam belajar Kata kunci: hasil belajar; konstruktivisme; scaffolding. ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the fact that many students have difficulties in learning mathematics especially for junior highschool students. This study aims to know the implementation of scaffolding method based on constructivism to students’ mathematics achievement. This is an experimental study with one group pretest and posttest design. The sample were 32 students grade VIII. Data is analyzed by t-test and n-gain test. T-test result shows that sig=0,000<0,05, The average score increases 15,63 and based on N-gain test shows that students competence increases too. It means that scaffolding method based on constructivism influence students’ mathematics achievement significantly. Thus scaffolding method based on constructivism can be implemented in any instruction, because it can increase students’ achievement and students will get learning variation that can reduce boredom and motivate them to learn actively. Abstract

Mathematics is a discipline that can improve thinking skills. However, in reality, the mathematics thinking skills of elementary school students are still low. This is because the mathematics learning used is not optimal and still uses conventional learning. In the process of mathematics learning, there is an integration of character values with mathematics material. Character building through mathematics learning has not been done relatively. The current mathematical concept can be related to cultural activities called ethnomathematics. Through ethnomathematics, mathematics learning becomes more realistic. The purpose of this research is to build students’ character and improve student’s mathematic learning achievement through developing student worksheets with a mathematical approach based on ethnomathematics. The methods of the research were research and development by using steps including preliminary study, design, development, and dissemination. The result of the research is student's worksheets fulfill valid, practical, and effective criteria. The result of the validity of teaching media shows that the average number is 96 % with very good criteria. The effectiveness test shows that there is a distinction of student’s achievement before and after the treatment and the student’s achievement on average is increased. Based on the analysis of student's answers on student worksheets, four characters are built through the learning process with a realistic mathematic approach based on ethnomathematics, such as creativity, independence, curiosity, and nationality. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal lingkaran. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas IX dari salah satu SMP Negeri di Cimahi tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Untuk mendapatkan data dalam penelitian ini, digunakan 6 tes soal uraian kemampuan komunikasi matematik dan wawancara. Berdasarkan pada hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa belum mencapai hasil yang maksimal terutama pada kemampuan mejelaskan ide, situasi matematik secara tulisan dengan gambar, dan aljabar; kemampuan menyatakan peristiwa sehari-hari dalam bahasa simbol matematika, dan kemampuan membuat konjektur, menyusun argumen dan generalisasi, serta membuat pertanyaan tentang matematika yang telah dipelajari. Penyebab siswa belum memiliki kemampuan komunikasi matematik yang baik adalah siswa menganggap menuliskan apa yang diketahui dan ditanyakan itu merupakan hal yang tidak penting. Siswa kurang memahami konsep dasar dalam melakukan proses operasi hitung baik dalam bentuk aljabar maupun operasi hitung matematika yang lain. Siswa cenderung ceroboh dalam mengerjakan soal karena ingin cepat selesai dan kurangnya konsep pemahaman mengenai materi lingkaran. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematik, materi lingkaran. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the mathematical communication ability of junior high school students in solving circle problems. The research subjects are ninth grade students from one of State Junior High School at Cimahi in the academic year 2017/2018. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive. The data are obtained from the analysis of 6 mathematical communication skill tests and interview. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the students’ mathematical communication ability has not achieved optimal results, especially in the ability to explain ideas, mathematical situation in writing with pictures, and algebra; the ability to express everyday events in the language of mathematical symbols; and the ability to make conjectures, to formulate arguments and generalizations, and to form a questions based from the previous topics have been learned. The students do not have a good mathematics communication ability because they assume that writing down anything given and asked is not important. Students do not understand the basic concept of algebraic operation or other mathematical operations. Students tend to be careless in working because they want to finish quickly and they need better concept to understand the circle topics. Keywords: mathematical communication ability, circle topics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of problem-based learning models on students' mathematical abilities at the junior and senior high school levels. This research method uses a meta-analysis method with a sample of 15 articles in national journals and an instrument in the form of coding (code category) which is divided into several characteristics and calculates the effect size of each characteristic using the Glass formula. The results of this meta-analysis showed that the effect of problem-based learning models on students' mathematical abilities at the high school level was higher than junior high school education with students' critical thinking abilities having a higher influence than other mathematical abilities. Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis adalah salah satu kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa agar mampu secara matematis memecahkan masalah sering dijumpai di kehidupan nyata. Indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis meliputi mampu memahami masalah, merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah, melakukan strategi atau prosedur pemecahan masalah, dan memeriksa kebenaran jawaban atau hasil yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP ditinjau dari Kemampuan Awal Matematik (KAM). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deksriptif. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII F SMP Angkasa Lanud Sulaiman yang berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian berupa tes soal uraian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis sebanyak 5 soal. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan hasil Penilaian Tengah Semester (PTS) sebagai kemampuan awal siswa. Siswa dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok, yaitu kelompok KAM atas, kelompok KAM menengah dan kelompok KAM bawah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kesulitan mengerjakan soal nomor 5 dan baik siswa kelompok KAM atas, KAM menengah maupun KAM bawah, siswa kurang menguasai indikator ke-4 yaitu memeriksa kebenaran jawaban. Kata kunci: kemampuan awal matematika, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. ABSTRACT Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the abilities that must be mastered by students in order to be able to mathematically solve problems often found in real life. Indicators of mathematical problem solving capabilities include being able to understand problems, plan problem solving strategies, perform strategies or procedures for problem solving, and check the truth of answers or results obtained. This study aims to determine the mathematical problem solving abilities of junior high school students in terms of Early Mathematical Ability (KAM). The method used in this study is descriptive. The research subjects were class VIII F Space Junior High School Sulaiman Air Base which numbered 30 people. The instrument used in the study was a test of the questions about the mathematical problem solving abilities of 5 questions. Analysis of the data used in this study is to classify students based on the results of the Middle Semester Assessment (PTS) as students' initial abilities. Students are divided into three groups, namely the upper KAM group, the middle KAM group and the lower KAM group. The results showed that students had difficulty working on the number 5 questions and both the upper KAM group students, the middle KAM and the lower KAM students, students did not master the 4th indicator, namely checking the correctness of the answers. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran means ends analysis (MEA) terhadap kemampuan menalar deduktif mahasiswa ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian posttest only group control design. Objek penelitian sebagai populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika FMIPA UNJ yang mengambil mata kuliah geometri euclid. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sample adalah multistage random sampling. Sedangkan pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan representasi matematis, tes kemampuan menalar deduktif, teknik analisis data menggunakan two-way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menalar deduktif mahasiswa yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran MEA secara keseluruhan lebih tinggi dibanding mahasiswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Selain itu juga terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan representasi matematis yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan menalar deduktif. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kemampuan menalar deduktif mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan representasi matematis tinggi yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran MEA lebih tinggi dibanding siswa diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional, sedangkan pada kelomok siswa yang memiliki kemampuan representasi matematis rendah, terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menalar deduktif yang signifikan antara siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model pembelajaran MEA dan siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Abstract

This research is motivated by the hope of students mastering mathematical literacy skills. Mathematical literacy can facilitate a person in understanding the usefulness of mathematics and applying it in everyday life to make the right decision. But in reality, based on the results of PISA 2018, Indonesia was decreased as a result of The Mathematical Literacy Ability Test. This study aims to determine: (1) The average literacy ability of experimental class students taught through PBL is better than the control class; (2) Class 5 student activities taught using the Problem Based Learning model, (3) Teachers can carry out learning using the Problem Based Learning learning model. This research is quantitative research with observation and documentation methods. The design used is a quasi-experimental design type Post-test only. This research uses an interval scale. The population is grade 5 students of SDN Gayungan II Surabaya. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique so that class 5-B (control class) and 5-A (experimental class) were obtained. Data collection techniques used were test methods analyzed with SPSS 22; observation of activities and implementation with descriptive; and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The average literacy ability of the experimental class students taught through PBL was better than the control class; (2) Student activities get very active categories; (3) The implementation of learning using the PBL model gets a Good category. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis Concept Attainment Model (CAM) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas peserta didik SMP kelas VIII. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan mengikuti prosedur pengembangan Model Plomp yang terdiri dari 3 tahap, yaitu tahap analisis pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan atau pembuatan prototipe, dan tahap penilaian. Uji validitas perangkat pembelajaran dilakukan oleh lima orang ahli dari bidang matematika, teknologi pendidikan, dan bahasa Indonesia. Pengujian kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran diukur dari tiga hal yaitu: keterlaksanaan perangkat pembelajaran, respon peserta didik, dan respon guru. Untuk menilai efektifitas perangkat pembelajaran, dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan data melalui pengamatan terhadap aktivitas belajar matematika peserta didik selama kegiatan pembelajaran dan nilai tes hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Hasil pegujian tersebut mengidentifikasi bahwa perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis CAM yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid menurut para ahli, praktis berdasarkan guru dan peserta didik sebagai pengguna, dan efektif terlihat dari aktivitas peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran yang mengalami peningkatan. Kata kunci: penelitian pengembangan, Concept Attainment Model, hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, Model Plomp ABSTRACT This research is development research aims to produces mathematics learning equipment based on valid, practical, and effective CAM for learning outcome and students activity of VIII grade junior high school. The developed learning equipment uses the procedure of Plomp Model that consists of 3 stages, they are preliminary research, development or prototyping phase, and assessment phase. Validity test of learning equipment is done by 5 experts from mathematics, eduaction technology, and indonesian language. Practical learning equipment test is measured by 3 points, they are the continuity of learning equipment, response of students, and response of teachers. To assess the effectiveness of learning equipment, we use to collect data from student activity observation during learning process and mathematics test results. Those tests identifies that mathematics learning equipment through CAM-based is valid according to the experts, practical based on the teacher and student as the user, and effective based on the increasing of student activity during learning process. Abstract

This study aims to develop mobile learning-based mathematics learning media that can be accessed offline, as a solution to the problems faced by students during the learning process from home. The test subjects of this study were 25 students of SMP Taman Sari. The research method uses the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages, namely: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. From the research process carried out, the results obtained are media that are developed and practical to use. Keyword : Mathematics Learning Media, Applications, Mobile Learning.

Abstract

Realistic Mathematics berbasis kearifan budaya lokal menekankan pada pembelajaran matematika yang dikaitkan dengan realita dan aktivitas kebudayaan siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran Realistic Mathematic s berbasis kearifan budaya lokal suku Gayo pada materi geometri. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4-D yang terdiri atas tahap menefinisikan (define), mendesain (design), mengembangkan (development), dan menyebarkan (dissemination). Perangkat pembelajaran yang dibuat adalah silabus, RPP, LKS, dan buku siswa. Melalui hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran diperoleh bahwa perangkat pembelajaran valid berdasarkan hasil validitas pakar. Kata Kunci : kearifan budaya lokal, Realistic Mathematic s, suku Gayo. ABSTRACT Realistic Mathematics based on local wisdom emphasizes the mathematics learning which is associated with students’ reality and cultural activities. The purpose of this research is to develop Realistic Mathematic s learning kit based on the local wisdom of Gayo on geometry. The learning kits are developed by using the 4-D model (define, design, develop, and dissemination). The learning kits consist of syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheets, and student books.
