Abstract

This study analyzes the factors causing the main problems in economic development during the era of globalization, as well as the resulting impacts, both positive and negative. The approach used is qualitative, based on a literature review of academic publications and relevant sources. The findings indicate that economic development is primarily characterized by an increase in per capita income and community prosperity. However, it also faces several challenges, including poverty, unemployment, inflation, and low human development, all exacerbated by advances in information technology, transportation, international trade, and the ideology of free markets. While globalization offers significant opportunities for economic growth, it also brings challenges that require careful management. The positive impacts include increased access to global markets and technological advancements, while the negative impacts involve widening inequality and cultural erosion. This study offers recommendations for addressing these issues, such as strengthening government regulations, improving organizational strategies, preserving local culture, and focusing on human resource development. It is hoped that this study will serve as a reference for formulating inclusive and sustainable economic development policies in the globalized era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of utilizing social media as a digital marketing strategy for the Exsport brand in building brand awareness, increasing consumer engagement, and strengthening customer loyalty. The research methodology uses a descriptive qualitative approach with secondary data analysis of Exsport's social media content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, as well as literature studies related to digital marketing strategies in the fashion industry. The results show that Exsport successfully communicates brand values ​​oriented towards a young, creative, and productive lifestyle through a consistent visual content strategy, collaboration with influencers, and participatory campaigns based on user-generated content and storytelling. This strategy has been proven to increase engagement rates, build emotional connections with consumers, and strengthen the brand's positive image amidst global competition. However, the effectiveness of Exsport's digital strategy requires sustainable, innovative, and adaptive content management to rapidly changing social media trends. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Exsport continue to innovate in content development, strengthen brand identity through creative narratives, and integrate digital strategies with offline marketing activities to create a more holistic customer experience. With this approach, social media serves not only as a promotional tool but also as a strategic instrument for expanding market reach, increasing competitiveness, and maintaining customer loyalty in the Indonesian fashion industry.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the influence of price, reviews, and product display on the purchasing decisions of fashion products, with a special focus on the Shopee marketplace. The study was conducted in the Cibeureum area of Cimahi City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, distributing questionnaires specifically to Shopee marketplace users, with a total of 99 respondents to collect data. The results of this study indicate that price, reviews, and product display have a positive and significant impact on the purchasing decisions of fashion products in Cibeureum, Cimahi City. Price is generally rated well, although certain aspects such as product quality have weaknesses. Reviews are also rated well, although there are weaknesses such as the information aspect still being a drawback. Similarly, product display is rated well but there are areas that need improvement, such as differentiating Shopee’s product display from other marketplaces. This study concludes that price, reviews, and product display positively and significantly influence the purchasing decisions of fashion products on the Shopee marketplace. The implication of this research is that Shopee can review the differences in product display design on Shopee compared to other marketplaces to make it more attractive, pay attention to information regarding product prices to ensure they align with market prices, and enhance consumer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concepts, definitions, and examples of money and the mechanism of interest in the modern economic system, from both conventional and Islamic perspectives. Money functions as a medium of exchange, a store of value, a unit of account, and a standard of deferred payment, making it an essential element of economic activity. The development of financial technology has transformed the form and function of money into more efficient and accessible digital systems. In the conventional economic system, interest serves as a key monetary policy instrument to regulate the money supply, inflation, and economic growth. However, the interest system has been criticized for potentially creating social inequality. In contrast, Islamic economics rejects interest as it contains elements of riba and replaces it with a fair profit-sharing system based on partnership. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature review approach based on Indonesian journals and academic books published between 2019 and 2025. The results show that both conventional and Islamic systems play a vital role in maintaining fairness and stability in the modern economy.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of human resources (HR) in achieving operational effectiveness in conventional banks. Human resources play a strategic role in ensuring smooth operational activities, service quality, and the achievement of performance targets. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving operational employees such as tellers, customer service officers, and supervisors at a conventional bank in [mention city, e.g., Yogyakarta]. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing.The results show that HR plays a crucial role in achieving operational effectiveness through improved employee competence, motivation, discipline, and teamwork. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the portrait of compensation and work discipline on employee performance at PT ABC West Jakarta both partially and simultaneously. The method used in this study is the quantitative method. The population at PT ABC West Jakarta was 86 respondents. The sample used in this study used a saturated sample, which means the same as the population, which was 86 people. The analysis in this study used the SPSS version 25 program. The data analysis method used simple linear regression tests, multiple linear regressions, correlation coefficients, determination coefficients, partial T tests and simultaneous F tests. The results of this study indicate that: There is a significant partial portrait of compensation on employee performance at PT ABC West Jakarta. This can be proven because the compensation variabel (X1) has a T count value of 8.588> T table 1.988 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, so H01 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted. There is a significant partial impact of work discipline on employee performance at PT ABC West Jakarta. This can be proven because the work discipline variabel (X2) has a calculated T value of 24.288> T table 1.988 with a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, so H02 is rejected and Ha2 is accepted. There is a significant impact of compensation and work discipline simultaneously on employee performance at PT ABC West Jakarta. This can be proven because the calculated F value of 292.166> F table 3.110 and a significance level of 0.000 <0.05, so H03 is rejected and Ha3 is accepted. The results of the determination coefficient test are shown by the R Square value of 0.876, which means that the compensation variabels (X1) and work discipline (X2) contribute to the employee performance variabel (Y) by 87.6%, while the remaining 12.4% is caused by other variabels not examined in this study.

Abstract

The issue of income disparity among regions in the Southern Sumatra (Sumbagsel) area remains a relevant challenge in regional economic development. Regions with high industrial concentration and large populations do not necessarily exhibit equitable income distribution. This study aims to analyze the effect of industrial agglomeration and population size on income disparity in the Sumbagsel region during the 2015–2024 period, both partially and simultaneously, and to interpret the findings within the framework of Islamic economics. This research employs a quantitative approach with panel data analysis. The secondary data cover five provinces in the Sumbagsel region—South Sumatra, Lampung, Jambi, Bangka Belitung, and Bengkulu—over the period of 2015–2024. The data were analyzed using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach through the EViews 10 software. The independent variables are industrial agglomeration and population size, while the dependent variable is income disparity. The findings reveal that, partially, industrial agglomeration has a negative and significant effect on income disparity, while population size has a negative but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant influence on income disparity in the Sumbagsel region. From the Islamic economic perspective, these results align with the principles of maqasid syari’ah, particularly in preserving wealth (hifz al-mal) and promoting public welfare (maslahah ‘ammah).

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology is driving the growth of e-commerce in indonesia. indonesia is an archipelagic country with a large population and high internet usage rates, potentially leveraging e-commerce for modern trade, providing convenience and easy payment systems. This study aims to examine the development and trends of e-commerce in indonesia from the early 1990 as to the digitalization and fintech era. The method used is literature study by analyzing relevant sources such as journals, books, reports,and articles. The results show that the developmentof e-commerce in indonesia has gone through four phases: beginning (1990-2000), growth (2001-2006), evolution and market penetration (2007-2020), and the digitalization and fintech era (2021- present). Each phase is marked by the emergence of platforms such as Bhineka.com, Tokobagus, Tokopedia, Gojek, Bukalapak, Lazada, Shopeeand the expansion of TikTok Shop, which strengthen the digital e-commerce ecosystem and the development of payment systems such as e –wallet. This research confirms that e-commerce plays an important role in driving economic growth, expanding the UMKM market, and can increase indonesia’s competitiveness in the global digital economy era.

Abstract

This study aims to empirically analyze the partial and simultaneous influence of environmental atmosphere, host friendliness, and location accessibility on tourists’ revisit intention at Homestay Gardu Pandang Selo, Boyolali Regency. Tourism growth in this area continues to increase, yet the low rate of repeat visits indicates a gap between visitor expectations and the quality of experience offered. Employing a quantitative causal-associative method, data were obtained from 96 respondents who had stayed at least once, using purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed with multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Classical assumption tests confirmed that the regression model met the requirements of normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The results revealed that environmental atmosphere and location accessibility had a positive and significant effect on revisit intention, while host friendliness showed an insignificant effect. Accessibility emerged as the most dominant factor influencing revisit intention, indicating that physical access and travel convenience play a central role in shaping tourist loyalty. The findings emphasize the importance of environmental management and infrastructure development as strategic priorities for homestay managers. Although host friendliness did not show a significant impact, maintaining a warm and consistent hospitality standard remains essential to sustain visitor satisfaction. Overall, this study contributes theoretically by reinforcing behavioral intention theory in tourism and practically by offering insights for community-based tourism management to strengthen destination competitiveness through repeat visitation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance at Sapphire Sky Hotel BSD, South Tangerang City. The method used in this research is quantitative with an associative approach. The sample used was 63 respondents who were taken with saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out through distributing questionnaires, and data analysis was carried out using SPSS version 29 by testing validity, reliability, classical assumptions, multiple linear regression, coefficient of determination, t test, and F test. The results showed that partially, leadership style (X₁) had a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a tcount value of 3.902> t table 1.998 and a significance of 0.000 < 0.05. Organizational culture (X₂) also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a tcount value of 2.406 > t table 1.998 and a significance of 0.019 < 0.05. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on employee performance with an Fcount value of 26.042> Ftable 3.15 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. The coefficient of determination (R²) value is 46.6%, which means that employee performance is influenced by leadership style and organizational culture, while the remaining 53.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
