Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of egalitarian leadership, responsibility, and teacher work discipline on teacher performance with the moderation of psychological empowerment at Qur'anic Education Institutions (TPQ) in Bengkong District, Batam. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS software. The population comprised all TPQ teachers in Bengkong District, with a sample of 84 teachers selected by proportionate random sampling. Teacher performance was assessed by TPQ principals to enhance objectivity. Results revealed that work discipline is the strongest predictor of teacher performance (coefficient 0.454; T=4.370; p=0.000), followed by responsibility (coefficient 0.254; T=2.557; p=0.011), and psychological empowerment (coefficient 0.232; T=1.992; p=0.047). Egalitarian leadership showed no significant direct effect (p=0.720). Psychological empowerment did not significantly moderate the relationships between the three independent variables and teacher performance. The model demonstrated very high predictive power with R Square of 0.929. This study implies that strengthening work discipline and responsibility are priority strategies for improving TPQ teacher performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of murabahah margin levels and the Financing to Deposit Ratio (FDR) on NonPerforming Financing (NPF) in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia during the period 2021 to 2024. The study employs a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The data used are secondary data obtained from Islamic Banking Statistics and bank financial reports. The analytical method applied is multiple linear regression. The results indicate that murabahah margin levels and FDR show an increasing trend during the observation period, while NPF fluctuates. An increase in murabahah margins may affect customers’ repayment capacity, thereby influencing the risk of nonperforming financing. On the other hand, an increase in FDR reflects higher financing distribution, but also raises potential risks if not supported by proper risk management. The findings reveal that murabahah margin levels and FDR have a significant effect on NPF, both partially and simultaneously. These results suggest that margin setting policies and financing distribution strategies play an important role in maintaining financing quality and the stability of Islamic banking. This study is expected to provide insights for Islamic banks in managing financing and risk more effectively

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital fatigue on purchasing decisions on e-commerce platforms, with trust and emotional escape as mediating variables among Generation Z in Yogyakarta City. The phenomenon of high digital media usage intensity among Gen Z has led to digital fatigue, which has the potential to influence their consumption behavior. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method of Generation Z respondents who actively shop through e-commerce. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results show that digital fatigue significantly influences purchasing decisions. Furthermore, trust and emotional escape are proven to act as mediating variables that strengthen and explain this relationship. Trust increases consumer confidence in making transactions, while emotional escape encourages purchasing behavior as a form of escape from digital fatigue . These findings provide theoretical implications for the development of digital consumer behavior literature and practical implications for e-commerce platform managers in designing marketing strategies that can manage digital fatigue and build consumer trust.

Abstract

Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) is a financial institution that operates according to sharia principles, focusing on providing financial services to the community, especially micro and medium-sized businesses. The main problem in this thesis is that out of  a total of 1.200 mcro-enterprneurs, only 485 have received financing from BPRS Taeh Baruah. This is because they do not yet have a business licence, so mcro-enterpreneurs prefer to borrow from non-formal financing institutions such as the PNM Mekaar program or farmer groups. This study aims to analyze the role of Bank Perekonomian Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Taeh Baruah in micro-enterprise development. The research method used is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used are through interviews and literature studies. Informants in this study consisted of 11 BPRS financing staff and 49 micro-enterprise customers at BPRS Taeh Baruah. The research results show that BPRS Taeh Baruah plays a significant role in supporting the development of micro-enterprises through sharia-based financing, particularly by using the murabahah contract, which is the most widely used by customers. Furthermore, BPRS Taeh Baruah also plays a role in increasing sharia financial inclusion by providing savings and financing services, conducting regular literacy and education related to sharia finance, and implementing flexible service strategies such as savings and financing pickup services, the use of mobile banking service. The Taeh Baruah BPRS also play a role in improving community welfare through financing programs provided to micro-enterpreneurs for working capital, enabling their business to grow. The additional capital provided by the BPRS ensures the availability of materials and eqipment for their businesses, thus contibuting to economic stability.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of peer groups on impulsive buying, with financial anxiety as a mediator among college students using e-commerce or social media in Paser Regency. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed and analysed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS. The sample consisted of 282 active students selected through purposive sampling. Three reflective constructs were measured using a 5-point Likert scale: peer influence (8 items), financial anxiety (8 items), and impulsive buying (9 items). The measurement model assessment confirmed adequate convergent and discriminant validity (AVE = 0.545–0.715; Cronbach’s alpha = 0.883–0.954; Composite Reliability = 0.905–0.957; HTMT < 0.25). The structural model results showed that H1 was supported, indicating that peer influence had a significant positive effect on financial anxiety (β = 0.252; T = 4.036; p < 0.001). However, H2 was not supported, as financial anxiety had no significant effect on impulsive buying (β = 0.069; T = 0.815; p = 0.415). H3 was also not supported, showing that peer influence had no significant direct effect on impulsive buying (β = −0.007; T = 0.076; p = 0.939). Furthermore, H4 was not supported, indicating that financial anxiety did not mediate the influence of peer groups on impulsive buying (indirect effect = 0.017). These findings suggest that, in the context of students in remote areas, the hypothesised SOR mechanism does not operate fully: peer pressure triggers financial anxiety, but this anxiety does not translate into impulsive buying.

Abstract

The global consumption of energy drinks is currently faced with a paradox between the demand for instant performance enhancement and concerns regarding health risks. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of brand image in stimulating consumer purchase intention amidst this perceptual dilemma. Employing a qualitative approach through a literature review method, this research synthesizes findings from nine empirical studies published between 2019 and 2024. The analysis reveals that brand image consistently exerts a positive and significant influence on the escalation of purchase intention. Within a marketing framework, brand image functions as a risk mitigation instrument and a signal of trust capable of constructing positive consumer attitudes. These findings validate the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), where a strong brand identity triggers the psychological drive to perform a purchase. Practically, this study concludes that the effectiveness of energy drink marketing strategies highly depends on building an authentic and responsible brand image to foster public trust and loyalty amidst intense industrial competition.
