Abstract

This study examines how the Indonesian rock band .Feast uses song lyrics as a form of critical discourse to challenge social, political, and ideological structures in contemporary Indonesia. Analyzing three of their most charged songs—“Peradaban,” “Kami Belum Tentu,” and “Padi Milik Rakyat”—the research employs Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) with Norman Fairclough’s three-dimensional model and Teun A. van Dijk’s socio-cognitive framework. The findings reveal that .Feast’s lyrics reflect societal frustrations over inequality, corruption, violence, and disillusionment, using elements like metaphor and irony to critique and resist hegemonic political narratives. The songs serve as both representations of social realities and performative interventions in public discourse. The study underscores the microphone as a metaphorical weapon against silence and marginalization, affirming the political value of popular music. It highlights the importance of analyzing music as a legitimate space for civic engagement and discourse. This research has implications for educational management by encouraging critical thinking and civic engagement in students through popular culture. Integrating music into curricula can foster discussions on power dynamics, social justice, and creative expression, empowering students to challenge societal norms and develop as informed, socially conscious individuals.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Person–Job Fit (PJF) on Innovative Work Behavior (IWB) with Perceived Organizational Support (POS) as a moderating variable, focusing on 100 employees of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Karawang, Kuningan, and Cirebon. Using a quantitative survey design, data were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS. The results show that PJF significantly and positively impacts IWB, indicating that better alignment between employee competencies and job requirements enhances innovative behavior. However, POS does not significantly moderate the PJF–IWB relationship. The model explains 80.5% of the variance in IWB (R² = 0.805). In educational management, these findings suggest that aligning employee competencies with job requirements can drive innovation among educators and staff, improving institutional performance. However, educational institutions should not rely solely on organizational support but also focus on ensuring a proper person-job fit. Future research could explore psychological mediators like creative self-efficacy to better understand innovation in education and other public sectors.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Sharia economic principles in fish besek craft production in Bukor Village, to improve product quality, competitiveness, and the well-being of craftsmen. The implementation of Sharia economics, emphasizing justice, transparency, and blessings, can enhance product competitiveness. The research uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, involving interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was performed using Miles and Huberman’s technique and SWOT matrix. The findings show that besek production emphasizes honesty and environmental friendliness, with strengths in local values and high market opportunities, but facing challenges in capital, innovation, and regeneration. This study suggests empowering traditional MSMEs through Sharia economics and contributes to the development of local community-based economic literature. Implications for educational management include the importance of developing Sharia economics-based skills in entrepreneurship curricula to empower communities and create sustainable jobs.

Abstract

Reliable and efficient public transportation is vital for urban areas like Semarang. This study evaluates the operational and service performance of Corridor 1, measures passenger satisfaction, and identifies service indicators needing improvement. Primary data were collected through field surveys and questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents. The methods used include Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), and Quality Function Deployment (QFD), referring to national and local transportation standards. Findings show that load factors (42% morning, 37% afternoon), bus speeds (25–27 km/h), and waiting times (3.6–3.8 minutes) meet service standards, while headways (7.3–7.6 minutes) remain outside the 2–5 minute peak-hour standard. In the afternoon, only 96% of the fleet operates. Based on IPA and QFD results, seven service indicators are prioritized for improvement: dwell time, onboard cleanliness and health facilities, heat-protective window film, accessibility to stops, user willingness to recommend the service, and passenger waiting times. The implications of this research for educational management are the importance of efficient public transportation to improve accessibility and comfort for students and educators. By improving service indicators, it is expected to support smooth mobility to educational institutions, increase student participation, and support active involvement in academic activities.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) on Employee Engagement (EE) among Generation Z professionals in Indonesia’s creative programming sector. With Gen Z’s increasing demand for autonomy and meaningful work, the study used a quantitative descriptive-associative method to collect data from 86 respondents via purposive sampling in LinkedIn programming communities in West Java. The analysis included validity and reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and multiple linear regression. Results reveal that WLB significantly enhances employee engagement, highlighting the importance of balance in time, involvement, and satisfaction. However, FWA does not considerably affect engagement, possibly because it is an expected norm among Gen Z, lacking differentiation unless backed by organizational support or meaningful work. The study emphasizes the importance of prioritizing work-life balance for organizations to enhance employee engagement. Managers should offer not only flexible work arrangements but also meaningful work experiences that align with employees' values. Flexibility should be supported by a strong organizational culture and leadership that fosters well-being and purpose, ensuring higher employee engagement and long-term productivity.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of cattle herding as a cooperative model between livestock owners and managers, bridging traditional practices with Islamic finance principles. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving cattle farmers and herding business actors. The findings indicate that while the system operates on mutual trust and shared benefits, several aspects do not fully align with sharia economic principles. These include issues with contract clarity (akad), transparency in profit distribution, and justice among the parties. Some practices reflect the mudharabah and musaqah contract models in Islamic finance but require stronger institutionalization and legal understanding. This study contributes to the development of Islamic economic thought by contextualizing traditional cooperative models within sharia-compliant business ethics. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of integrating local wisdom with Islamic economic principles to promote sustainable, fair, and religiously appropriate practices in rural communities. The implications for educational management emphasize the need to incorporate Islamic finance principles into rural economic education, fostering ethical, fair, and sustainable economic practices aligned with sharia values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of work culture, discipline, and work enthusiasm on employee performance, with a specific focus on Generation Z employees at the Office of Trade and Cooperatives for Small and Medium Enterprises in Wonogiri Regency. Using a quantitative approach, a sample of 155 respondents was selected from a population of 224 employees through convenience sampling based on the Slovin formula. Data were collected using both online and offline questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS version 27. The findings show that work culture does not have a significant impact on employee performance. In contrast, both work discipline and enthusiasm have a significant and positive effect on performance. When examined simultaneously, all three variables influence performance, although only discipline and enthusiasm are individually significant. These results underscore the importance of fostering employee discipline and morale to enhance overall performance.
