Abstract

Finding jobs for university graduates is becoming more difficult as the number of job opportunities available is not proportional to the number of graduates. This situation is aggravated by the low interest of the Indonesian population in entrepreneurship, which is at roughly 3.1%. This study aims to investigate the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, creativity, attitude toward entrepreneurship, social media, entrepreneurial culture, and motivation on student’s entrepreneurial intentions. Social media is warranted in the study as the respondents are in the group of millennials. A quantitative method was used. The data analysis employed Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The participants were undergraduate students from universities in Malang City and Surabaya, Indonesia, recruited using an online questionnaire. The research sample included 315 respondents. This study used self-efficacy, creativity, attitude, culture, and motivation as the determinants of student’s entrepreneurial intention. It proposed six hypotheses that reflect the impact of each determinant on entrepreneurial intentions. The study revealed that of the six hypotheses tested, all had a significant impact on explaining the determinants of student’s entrepreneurial intention. Social media is proven to be the catalyst for student entrepreneurial intention. Educated students recognize and assume that social media can help run a business without requiring a large investment. This study also suggests that lecturers' involvement enables students to acquire entrepreneurial skills in classroom learning and organizations. Thus, students with a greater level of entrepreneurial insight will find it easier to foster an entrepreneurial attitude and think more imaginatively to commercialize new ideas in the form of product development before they realize their entrepreneurial potential.

Abstract

Abstract

Film posters are important aspects of visual communication since they serve not only as a commercial tool but also as a medium full of significance, particularly in the film "Bumi Manusia" by Falcon Pictures, which accurately depicts the Dutch colonial era through rigorous study. This study uses a qualitative technique to evaluate the poster for the film "Bumi Manusia." The data collection method employs two basic sources: primary data and secondary data. Primary data is gathered through direct observation of the poster, allowing researchers to examine visual components such as color, imagery, and text. Meanwhile, secondary information is derived from external sources such as journals, papers, and books, and it serves to supplement or reinforce the conclusions of direct observations. The research technique consists of four steps of design review: work description, formal analysis, interpretation, and evaluation. Thus, the film poster "Bumi Manusia" captures the film's story and atmosphere in detail using visual art. This poster illustrates the cultural and political clash at the center of the story using detailed images of the main protagonists. Color, font, photography, and good composition are used in these posters to strengthen the formal narrative. The poster's interpretations underlined the complexities of cultural and political struggle, while the study determined that the poster accurately reflected the delicate relationship between Dutch indigenous and colonial peoples. This poster highlights the complexities of the cultural and social life of the time, which is relevant to the film's theme.

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to redefine building switching intentions by analyzing the concept of consumer switching intentions. The study of consumer switching intentions was carried out by identifying the definition of consumer switching intentions. The problem raised in this paper consists of the perception of switching intention which consists of different definitions of switching intention from each research result (Gupta et al., 2004), (Anton et al., 2007), (Nikbin et al., 2013), (CN Lin & Wang, 2017), (Liang et al., 2018), (Aw & Chong, 2019), and (Bölen, 2020). This paper takes the method of comparing the concept of consumer switching intentions from many researchers who have had their research validated. The ramifications of this study's findings will serve as a point of reference for a number of investigations, resulting in the identification of each definition of consumer switching intents. This paper's unique contribution will redefine the concept of consumer switching intent.

Abstract

This study discusses the Analysis of the Success of Human Development Based on the Regional Regulation of Bone Regency Number 11 of 2016 concerning Gender Mainstreaming in Regional Development. The main problem is how to analyze the success of gender-oriented human development based on Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) and how the Human Development Index (IPM) in Bone Regency is in regional development. What is the role of the implementation of PUG institutions in Bone Regency in resolving each gender gap? This study employs normative-empirical research methods, with qualitative research methods described descriptively and employing conceptual approaches, law, sociology of law, and comparative and legal psychology to examine legal aspects in social interactions within government and community, and serves as a support to identify and clarify the findings of non-legal materials for the purposes of research or legal writing. The results of the study show that the existence of a regional regulation that regulates PUG in regional development has proven to be able to solve gender problems and gaps, as seen from the increase in the percentage of the Gender Development Index (IPG) and the Gender Empowerment Index (IDG),  It is also able to contribute to the HDI growth rate in Bone Regency, although it has not been able to shift Bone Regency's HDI ranking from 23rd out of 24 Regencies in South Sulawesi, with PUG implementation starting from every Regency, subdistrict, and village. Keywords:  Awareness Gender , Development Region, Human Development

Abstract

This study aims to develop a comic creation guide specifically designed for art and design students to enhance their creative and technical skills. Comics, as a medium of expression integrating visual and narrative elements, offer significant potential for dynamically conveying ideas. However, students often face challenges in creating structured and communicative comics due to the lack of guides relevant to academic needs. This research employs a research and development (R&D) method with a project-based approach. The guide is designed to encompass the stages of pre-production, production, and post-production, integrating theory and practice. Product validation shows that 85% of students found the guide helpful in understanding the comic creation process comprehensively, while 90% stated that the visualizations in the guide facilitated their understanding of the material. The research output, a Comic Creation Guidebook, is expected to serve as an effective reference for art and design education and contribute to the literature on visual arts education.
