Abstract

Abstract: The Teacher’s Diary film by Nithiwat Tharathorn raises the theme of the struggle of teachers who teach in remote school. The problem discussed in this research is didactic value. The researcher describes the didactic values found in the depiction of characters through actions, speech and mind. Didactic value analysis in this film used Ali's theory. The method used is descriptive qualitative content analysis approach. The results showed that the didactic values contained in the film The Teacher's Diary, namely intellectual / intelligence value, skill value, self-esteem value, social values / community relations / association, moral value, beauty value, divine / religious value, self-control value / emotional stability, value of behavior / customs of courtesy, the value of will / desire or ideals. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the didactic values in this film can be used as a reflection or example for teachers to teach and educate students and understand the meaning of teacher in a complete perspective. Keywords: Didactic Value, The Teacher’s Diary, Film.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the function the code switching used by speakers at SMK Multi Karya Medan. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this study were the teacher and the students. The objects were the utterances of code-switching in Indonesian language learning in SMK Multi Karya Medan. Validity data technique is used triangulation of data source and informant review. Data collection is using listen and speak methods. Data analysis using the intralingual method. The result of the research showed that the function of code-switching at the time of the process of Indonesian language learning are emphasized, reprimanded, reminded, explained, asked and commanded.

Abstract

Diction is the most important aspect in determining sentence clarity. Through diction, a person can develop ideas in his descriptive essay. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine the inaccuracy of diction in students' descriptive essays, and to describe the results of the research as learning materials. This research method is a qualitative description method. This research was conducted by analyzing students' descriptive essays based on the inaccuracy of diction in the sentences used. The results of this study indicate that there are students' inaccuracies in using diction, namely 53 inaccuracy of diction based on lexical meaning, 34 grammatical meanings, 12 use of synonyms, and 4 uses of denotation and connotation. The conclusion in this study is that the students' ability to use diction has not been properly used in the descriptions they made.Keywords: Inaccuracy, Diction, Arrangements

Abstract

Abstrack. The world of literature is an imaginative world that describes human life, which we can enjoy, understand and contemplate. Life in society that we can find is cultural value. The purpose of this research is to find out the cultural values in the Lamaholot folklore of East Flores Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach that uses words as data to convey research results. The research method used to analyze this folklore is the content analysis method. Cultural values include: cultural values in human relations with God, cultural values in human works, cultural values in human relations with nature, and cultural values in human relations with others. Descriptive research techniques conducted by researchers are techniques examining elements of cultural values. This research technique can be done by reading carefully to find cultural values, identify, classify, analyze, and conclude research data about the cultural values in the story. From the results of the study found 99 quotes related to the four cultural values studied.  Keywords : cultural values, folklore, and content analysis

Abstract

Novel be one of the teaching materials able to provide much in value education for his stories novel very close to human beings. There is also we can find big number of research that appears to dissect the content of educational values in a novel with the aim of making it easier for teachers to teach the values of education to the students. This study aims to describe about content of character education values in a novel Nun: Pada Sebuah Cermin by Afifah Afra.This study focused to discover about the content of characters, such as (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) discipline, (4) hard work, (5) self-reliance, (6) social care, and (7) responsibility that is in the novel. The research is descriptive method of qualitative data sources used the sociology of literature in the form of a novel. The result of this research the findings of characters education can be applied into learning at school, especially senior high school Basic Competence (KD) 3.1 and 4.1 through the use of novel be a source of learning.

Abstract

Research on the factors that influence the achievement of learning Indonesian has been done by many previous researchers. The purpose of this research is to find out 1). The effects of perceptions of teacher guidance and learning motivation towards students' Indonesian learning achievement at State Junior High School (SMPN) Depok City. 2). The effect of perceptions of teacher guidance towards students' Indonesian learning achievement at State Junior High Schools (SMPN) Depok City. 3). The effect of learning motivation towards students' Indonesian learning achievement at State Junior High School (SMPN) Depok City. The methode used in this study is a survey with multiple linier regression correlational techniques with a sample of 40 students. The results of the study show: 1). There are a significant effect of Perception on Teacher Guidance and Learning Motivation together towards Learning Achievement of Indonesian Junior High School students in Depok City. This can be proven by the value of Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and F-count = 39.115. 2). There is a significant influence on the perception of teacher guidance towards the achievement of learning Indonesian in State Junior High School students in Depok City. This can be proven by the value of Sig. 0.005 < 0.05 and t-count = 2,993. 3). There is a significant effect of learning motivation towards the achievement of learning Indonesian in State Junior High School students in Depok City. This can be proven by the value of Sig. 0.028 < 0.05 and t-count = 2.284Keywords: perceptions of teacher guidance, learning motivation, students' Indonesian learning achievement

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of image media on Indonesian language subjects especially in exposition essay writing skills on class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Hidayah Depok. The research method used to analyze is the pretest method, in the form of an exposition essay test before using image and posttest media, in the form of exposition essay tests after using image media. On the pretest test the average score was 73 and the posttest test obtained an average score of 82. The average scores of the two groups were classified into the categories "Enough" and "Good". In testing the Chikuadrat Test, the values for class X1 and X2 are normally distributed with values X1 1.383 <12.592, and X2 3.164 <12,592. In testing the Homogeneity Test obtained a value of 1.06 ≤ 4.28, the data is homogeneously distributed. In testing the Hypothesis Test, the results of t_ (count) are greater than t table (5.266> 2.035). Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using image media on exposition essay writing skills on class VIII students of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al Hidayah Depok before and after using media images.

Abstract

Since ancient times traditional societies continued their practical knowledge and life experiences through language from generation to generation so that each community group has a source of behavioral rules that can be used as a guide for life. Linguists, historians, anthropologists, social observers, cultural experts or literary specialists or anyone who wants to understand the concept of community life can have it from the expression of language in the form of advice, slogans, proverbs, phrases, anecdotes, parables and proverbs. This study discusses the time concepts contained in the Indonesian and German proverbs by focusing on the functions and values of wisdom contained therein. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach and is expected to explain about the philosophy, teaching and reflection of the height of thought of the ancient Indonesian people and the values contained in the German proverb.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Indonesian errors in student learning outcomes reports made by teachers at the Amanah Fitrah Rabbani Foundation in the even semester 2020/2021. This research is a qualitative research study with a descriptive approach in order to be able to describe language errors in depth. The data collection technique used in this research is the document technique. Sources of data used come from reports of student learning outcomes. The results of the student learning reports are entered into the Sipebi application developed by the Language Agency of the Ministry of Education and Culture for analysis. After that, the results of the Sipebi application were analyzed compared with the results of the analysis carried out manually in accordance with the applicable rules in the General Guidelines for Indonesian Spelling. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion of the data used, the first version of the Sipebi application still has many shortcomings that must be improved. It was because there were many kinds of language errors that it should have detected, but not detected. The types of errors that were not detected were non-standard words, bound forms, and conjunctions. For the results of the analysis of student learning outcomes written by the Amanah Fitrah Rabbani Foundation teacher, the most frequent language errors that occur are writing non-standard words, bound forms, and conjunctions.Keywords: Sipebi, application, Indonesian language error.

Abstract

Abstract: Fairy Tale films do not only show entertainment for the audience but also therepresentation of femininity that can affect the mindset of the viewers. The representation shouldevolve in line with the global feminist movement in order for the audience to have a realisticdescription of the condition of women in the current era. Research is needed to determine whetherthe transition is in line with the development of feminism waves and theories. This study usesfeminist theories and concepts of femininity as a reference. The primary data collection wascompleted using observation and secondary data was taken from the study of literature anddocumentation. Observations were accomplished by watching Maleficent 2, and Frozen 2 films. Thefinal analysis shows that the transition in the representation of femininity in Maleficent 2, andFrozen 2 films indicates equalities and emphasizes the rebellious side of woman.Keywords: Maleficent 2; Frozen 2; Feminism; Femininity, Representation; Equalities
