Abstract

This study aims to examine the transformation of defense law in the digital age and advanced technology, focusing on the impact of technological advancements on national defense policies and regulations. With the rapid development of technology, particularly cyber threats that cross territorial boundaries, national defense legal systems face new challenges that require updates to regulations and policies. Through a literature review, this research identifies that traditional defense law needs to be revised to include protection of critical infrastructure, regulation of technology-based defense, and management of digital threats. Advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things provide opportunities to strengthen defense systems, but they also pose ethical and legal challenges, particularly regarding privacy, human rights, and accountability in the use of technology in military operations. The study also emphasizes the importance of international collaboration in addressing global transnational cyber threats. As a recommendation, countries need to urgently update their defense law regulations and strengthen international cooperation to maintain global security, while ensuring the use of defense technology aligns with international law principles and human rights.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in enhancing physical education learning in schools, with a focus on the application of AI in physical education. AI technology has begun to be implemented in various aspects of sports education, ranging from tracking students' physical activities to providing more personalized feedback. The literature review reveals that this technology can assist in monitoring students' performance more thoroughly and offer training programs tailored to individual physical abilities. Several studies reviewed, such as by Smith et al. (2020), show that the use of AI can improve students' physical skills by providing real-time feedback and more accurate training personalization. However, the implementation of AI technology also faces several challenges, such as inadequate technological infrastructure, limited training for teachers, and concerns related to student data privacy. Nonetheless, this study emphasizes that with proper support, AI technology can become a highly effective tool to enhance sports education in schools. Recommendations are made to strengthen teacher training, improve technological infrastructure in schools, and ensure appropriate policies for student data usage.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the literature on economic education in the context of economic development and its connection to a nation's growth. Economic education not only focuses on understanding basic economic concepts but also serves as an investment in developing skilled and productive human resources. Based on the analysis of economic theories such as the human capital theory (Schultz, 1961) and endogenous growth theory (Romer, 1990), this study finds that economic education has a significant impact on improving workforce quality, fostering innovation, and enhancing a country's economic competitiveness. Moreover, economic education can help reduce socio-economic disparities by providing broader access to the knowledge and skills needed in the global economy. Thus, economic education plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable and inclusive economic development. The findings of this study indicate that the development of a relevant and high-quality economic education system is essential to prepare human resources capable of facing future challenges and contributing to long-term economic growth.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia developed the Merdeka Curriculum with the aim of enhancing students' learning independence amidst the rapid technological advancements in the digital era. The objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the Merdeka Curriculum in improving students' learning independence. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation studies in several schools that have implemented this curriculum. The findings show that although the Merdeka Curriculum provides students with the freedom to choose how they want to learn, factors such as digital infrastructure do not support this effectively.

Abstract

Education is vital for national development, yet access disparities persist. This study compares education policies in Indonesia and New Zealand, analyzing their effectiveness in ensuring equity. Using a qualitative comparative method, data from government reports and academic sources were examined. Findings show Indonesia struggles with economic and geographic barriers despite programs like KIP and BOS, while New Zealand’s decentralized system and financial aid improve access, though ethnic gaps remain. Strong governance and targeted policies in New Zealand help reduce disparities, offering lessons for Indonesia to enhance infrastructure, teacher distribution, and digital access. Future research should explore socio-economic impacts and long-term outcomes.

Abstract

The learning process is the main foundation in shaping students' competencies, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK) which emphasize the balance between theory and practice. This research aims to develop learning media in the form of a digital electronics trainer kit to improve understanding of basic concepts of electricity and electronics, especially for class X students majoring in Industrial Electronics at SMKN 8 Tangerang City. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Four-D development model which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and media and material expert validation using Aiken's V formula to measure the content validity of the instrument. The validation results showed an average Aiken's V value of 0.948 for media and 0.944 for materials, both in the “very valid” category. The media feasibility test by experts obtained an average score of 138.3, while the feasibility of the material by experts gave an average score of 99.6. Student respondents gave an average score of 68.5 out of a total score of 2057, indicating the media was in the “very feasible” category. These findings indicate that the trainer kit developed is effective in increasing learner engagement and understanding in a practical and contextual manner. The implication of this research shows the importance of integrating practice-based learning media in SMK. It is recommended that similar developments be widely disseminated through collaboration between schools to strengthen the quality of vocational learning in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of the Jigsaw teaching approach, class activeness and level of understanding on student learning outcomes in the practice of robotic systems at SMKN 8 Tangerang City. Utilizing a quasi-experimental framework alongside a quantitative method, the research included two groups: one experimental and the other control. The analysis of data was carried out using SPSS version 25 and Microsoft Excel. The results showed that class engagement and level of understanding had a significant influence on student learning outcomes. Simple regression tests showed that class engagement contributed 81% (R² = 0.810) and comprehension level 78.7% (R² = 0.787) to learning outcomes. The multiple regression test showed the combination of these two variables contributed 85.6% (R² = 0.856). The Wilcoxon test showed the Jigsaw method effectively improved learning outcomes with a significance value of 0, without a decrease in scores on the posttest and the majority of students experienced an increase with an average positive rating of 32.00.
