Abstract

This study was motivated by the need to understand teachers’ perceptions of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum as well as the obstacles encountered in its application at SD Negeri 07 Enam Lingkung. The purpose of this research is to examine teachers’ perceptions of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and to identify the challenges faced by teachers in its implementation. This study employs a qualitative research approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal and teachers. The results of this research show that most teachers have a positive perception of the Merdeka Curriculum implementation, including the fact that the learning process is not significantly different from the previous curriculum, the simplification of learning tools, the flexibility of teaching modules that support differentiated learning, and the use of teaching modules as the main instructional resource. However, teachers also face several challenges, such as limited experience in applying the principles of Merdeka Belajar, insufficient basic teaching competencies, limited understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum concept, lack of creativity and innovation in teaching, limited use of media and learning models, suboptimal adaptation to curriculum changes, and insufficient professional support and mentoring. The conclusion of this study is that although the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri 07 Enam Lingkung has been running fairly well, further training and mentoring are necessary to enable teachers to implement the curriculum optimally.

Abstract

Thinking ability is not only about generation new ideas but also involves the ability to see relationships between concepts, ask critical questions, and produce original solutions. This study aims to analyze the creative thinking skills of fifth-grade students in IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning at SD Negeri 01 Ulak Karang Selatan. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the manifestation of students' creative thinking skills varies. Fluency is the most prominent indicator, while flexibility and originality are still limited. The ability for elaboration tends to align with the uniqueness of an idea. Although the teacher has implemented strategies to encourage creativity, such as using open-ended questions and simple project assignments, their implementation still faces major obstacles like limited time, inadequate facilities, and students' passive habits. Thus, this study concludes that students' creative potential has not been optimally explored. A commitment from the school is needed to provide resources and teacher training to support the continuous development of creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application, supporting factors, and inhibiting factors of the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in character building of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 12 Sungai Sapih. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the research subjects being fourth grade teachers and four students. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. The results showed that the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile was realized through daily habits, such as group prayer activities, class duty schedules, group work, and project-based learning. This implementation includes six main dimensions: faith and devotion to God Almighty and noble character, global diversity, cooperation, independence, critical reasoning, and creativity. Supporting factors for the implementation of this profile include teacher role models, consistency in habit formation, and parental involvement. Meanwhile, the obstacles encountered include a lack of consistency in student behavior, limited school facilities, and weak supervision of activities. In general, the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile in this school has been going well, although improvements are still needed in maintaining consistency in student behavior, strengthening the role of teachers and parents, and providing more adequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Science Integration (IPAS) under the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at SD Negeri 13 Lolong, Padang City. The study was motivated by the empirical issue that students often experience difficulties in understanding IPAS concepts due to monotonous teaching methods and limited learning media. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with the data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of the class teacher, the school principal, and 28 students. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, including data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and theory triangulation. The results revealed that students’ main problems included the lack of varied learning media, low learning motivation, and limited active participation during lessons. These issues led to passive learning activities and reduced conceptual understanding. The findings indicate that effective IPAS learning requires teachers to apply interactive and contextual learning models, utilize simple digital media, and design project-based activities that relate to students’ daily experiences. The study also emphasizes the importance of school support in providing adequate learning facilities to optimize the Merdeka Curriculum implementation.

Abstract

Posters are one of the most effective instructional media for delivering information visually in an engaging and easily understandable manner for students. This study employed a descriptive literature review approach to analyze the implementation of poster media in the learning process by collecting and reviewing various relevant scholarly articles from educational journals. The findings indicate that poster media are effective in enhancing students’ understanding of learning materials, particularly due to their ability to simplify complex information into more accessible and communicative visual forms. Furthermore, the study reveals that poster media have significant potential to support successful learning outcomes when used appropriately. However, their effectiveness largely depends on the quality of poster design, teachers’ understanding in developing media aligned with learning objectives, and students’ visual characteristics. Therefore, this study contributes important insights that poster media are not only attractive learning aids but also an effective strategy for developing creative and contextual visual education in elementary school settings.
