Abstract

A pump is a type of fluid machinery used to transfer fluids from one location to a higher elevation or to a location with higher pressure. It is an energy-conversion machine that converts mechanical energy in the form of rotational motion into fluid energy in the form of pressure and velocity. Understanding pump characteristics is essential for selecting a pump that meets the required operating conditions, particularly in terms of flow capacity, head, and operational efficiency. The centrifugal pump in this study was designed with a flow capacity of 50 liters per second, a head of 35 m, and a rotational speed of 1,550 rpm. Based on the design results, the pump to be redesigned is a single-stage centrifugal pump equipped with an open radial impeller, a pump head of 50 m, and a pump power requirement of 75 kW. The design process involved comprehensive calculations, including pump head, number of stages, impeller dimensions, supporting components, efficiency, and pump characteristics. The pump is driven by an AC electric motor with a voltage of 380 V and a rotational speed/frequency of approximately 3,000 rpm/50 Hz. Thus, the production unit is expected to operate continuously, enabling the treated clean water to be distributed to the community in accordance with the specifications and performance requirements of the pump.

Abstract

The ignition system has a significant influence on fuel consumption, as well as the torque and power produced by an engine. Ignition systems in four-stroke gasoline engines have undergone significant development and refinement. In the early development of gasoline engines, the ignition system used contact breaker points (platina) to interrupt and connect the battery voltage to the primary coil. Currently, motorcycle manufacturers have increasingly adopted Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) systems because conventional contact breaker systems have several limitations, including less efficient ignition and higher fuel consumption. Factory-installed CDI systems have a predetermined engine speed limit. When the engine is operated at an RPM exceeding the CDI limit, its performance may decrease. An unlimiter CDI is an ignition system that operates without a predetermined RPM limit and is capable of supporting engine operation at high speeds. This study aims to investigate the effect of using an unlimiter CDI on fuel consumption, torque, and power in a 110 cc Honda Beat motorcycle. The study employed a field study method involving direct investigation and observation of relevant data to obtain information on the parameters used in analyzing the CDI system installed on the motorcycle. Based on the results at engine speeds of 4,000, 6,000, and 8,000 rpm, the use of an unlimiter CDI resulted in lower fuel consumption compared with a limiter CDI. Furthermore, the torque and power produced by the unlimiter CDI were higher than those produced by the limiter CDI at all three tested engine speeds.

Abstract

Puberty is a developmental stage characterized by simultaneous physical, social, and emotional changes. During this stage, students need accurate and appropriate information to help them understand the changes they experience, maintain personal hygiene and health, develop healthy social relationships, and recognize emotional conditions that may require support. This community service program aims to provide education to students of MTs Miftahul Ulum, Blado Kulon Village, regarding physical changes, social changes, and mental health during puberty. The program was conducted with students in Grades 7, 8, and 9 through the delivery of educational materials, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and examples of situations relevant to adolescents’ daily lives. The topics covered an introduction to puberty, bodily changes, personal hygiene, peer relationships, self-confidence, bullying, body shaming, emotional management, and ways to seek support when facing problems. The results indicate that the program provided an educational space for students to understand puberty in a more open and positive manner. Students gained a better understanding of how to cope with changes in themselves and the importance of support from families, teachers, and the school environment. These findings demonstrate that adolescent health education in school settings needs to be delivered in a communicative and sustainable manner so that the knowledge gained can be applied in students’ daily lives.

Abstract

Improving teachers’ pedagogical competence is essential for supporting the quality of learning, particularly amid changes in student characteristics, advances in educational technology, and the increasing demands of 21st-century competencies. This study aims to systematically analyze various forms of continuous professional development for improving teachers’ pedagogical competence, including the strategies employed, supporting and inhibiting factors, and emerging research directions in this field. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The literature was obtained from academic databases using keywords related to teacher pedagogical competence, teacher professional development, continuous professional development, and teacher professional learning. The analyzed articles were selected based on inclusion criteria covering topic relevance, publication quality, full-text availability, and a publication period of 2016–2026. The data were analyzed thematically by identifying forms of professional development, competency focuses, program characteristics, and key research findings. The results indicate that continuous professional development has the potential to enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence, particularly through practice-based training, coaching and mentoring, professional learning communities, lesson study, reflective practice, teacher collaboration, and technology- and TPACK-based development. The most promising programs are characterized by continuity, strong connections to instructional practice, active learning, collaboration, feedback, and supportive school environments. Advances in digital technology and artificial intelligence are also emerging as new directions for developing teachers’ professional competencies. Therefore, improving pedagogical competence should be positioned as a continuous, contextual, collaborative professional learning process that is integrated with instructional practice.

Abstract

The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Dharmasraya Regency, as a regional legislative institution, carries out various activities, one of which is official travel. These activities include working visits, comparative studies, recess activities, coordination meetings, and other activities that support the implementation of the DPRD’s duties and functions. Each official travel activity requires a reporting process as a form of administrative accountability and activity documentation. The implementation of a web-based information system for official travel reporting is expected to improve employee performance, minimize errors in data processing, and enhance transparency and accountability in the management of DPRD activities in Dharmasraya Regency. The development of the official travel reporting information system employs the Waterfall method. This study is also expected to make a positive contribution to the Dharmasraya Regency DPRD office, particularly in reporting the activities of DPRD members.
