Abstract

Expressive language skills, defined as young children’s capacity to communicate ideas, thoughts, and feelings through spoken words and simple sentences, remain insufficiently stimulated in many Indonesian kindergartens, where instruction continues to rely predominantly on conventional picture-and-explanation media. This study aimed to examine the effect of flannel-fabric Busy Book media on the expressive language skills of children at RA Samasundu, Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi. A quantitative quasi-experimental approach with a nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving 30 Group B children aged 5–6 years who were selected through saturated sampling and assigned to an experimental group using flannel-fabric Busy Book media (n = 15) and a control group using conventional picture-based media (n = 15). Data were collected using a six-indicator observation sheet based on a four-level developmental scale and analyzed through descriptive statistics, the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, paired-samples t-tests, and independent-samples t-tests. The control group’s mean score increased only marginally from 13.47 at pretest to 13.73 at posttest, with no statistically significant difference, t(14) = −0.673, p = .512. In contrast, the experimental group’s mean score increased from 14.00 to 20.53, representing a statistically significant improvement, t(14) = −11.678, p < .001. Posttest scores also differed significantly between the experimental and control groups, t(28) = −12.448, p < .001, with a mean difference of 6.80. Moreover, the experimental group’s gain score (M = 6.80) was significantly higher than that of the control group (M = 1.67), t(28) = 10.548, p < .001. These findings demonstrate that flannel-fabric Busy Book media is more effective than conventional picture-based media in stimulating early childhood expressive language skills because its concrete, manipulable, and multisensory features encourage active verbal engagement. The study contributes empirical support for constructivist and sociocultural perspectives on early language development and provides teachers with a practical and affordable instructional medium. However, the small single-site sample and brief intervention period limit the generalizability of the findings, warranting further research with larger samples, longer interventions, and comparisons involving alternative instructional media.

Abstract

Bus Trans Padang Corridor 1 serves as a primary mode of public transportation for students in Padang City; however, social media observations from August to December 2025 revealed persistent complaints regarding facility conditions and service performance, indicating a gap between user expectations and perceived service delivery. This study examines the effects of facility maintenance and service quality on student satisfaction with Bus Trans Padang Corridor 1. A quantitative associative-causal design was employed, involving 97 junior and senior high school students selected through accidental sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS 20. The findings indicate that facility maintenance significantly affects student satisfaction (t = 9.067, p < .001, R² = .464), while service quality also exerts a significant effect (t = 12.879, p < .001, R² = .636). Simultaneously, facility maintenance and service quality significantly explain 66.6% of the variance in student satisfaction (F = 96.651, p < .001, adjusted R² = .666), as represented by the regression equation Y = −5.830 + 0.415X₁ + 0.492X₂. These findings support the Expectation-Disconfirmation Theory and are consistent with the P-Transqual and SERVQUAL frameworks, demonstrating that student satisfaction is shaped by both the physical reliability of transportation facilities and the quality of service delivery. The study contributes empirical evidence on student satisfaction in urban public transportation and underscores the need for Perumda PSM and the Padang City Transportation Agency to integrate facility maintenance and service-quality improvements to enhance the performance of Bus Trans Padang Corridor 1.

Abstract

In the digital transformation era, companies face increasing challenges in securing external financing amid growing demands for sustainable and accountable business practices. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure is expected to enhance stakeholder confidence and potentially reduce corporate financing constraints; however, its effectiveness may depend on the transparency of firms’ financial information. This study examines the effect of CSR disclosure on corporate financing constraints and evaluates the moderating role of financial transparency. The study used panel data from manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with the sample selected through purposive sampling. The final sample comprised 17 companies and 68 firm-year observations. Data were analyzed using panel data regression with EViews. The findings indicate that CSR disclosure has no significant effect on corporate financing constraints in the digital transformation era. Financial transparency also does not significantly moderate the relationship between CSR disclosure and corporate financing constraints, suggesting that it neither strengthens nor weakens the influence of CSR disclosure on firms’ access to funding. These results demonstrate that CSR disclosure alone may be insufficient to reduce financing constraints or improve corporate access to external capital. The study contributes to the literature by clarifying the limited role of CSR disclosure and financial transparency in explaining financing constraints among Indonesian manufacturing companies. Practically, companies should place greater emphasis on the quality of financial information, financial performance stability, and substantive governance practices, rather than relying solely on social disclosure, to strengthen investor and creditor confidence in corporate financing decisions.

Abstract

Profitability in food and beverage companies depends substantially on their ability to increase sales while efficiently controlling the cost of goods sold. However, empirical evidence regarding these relationships among companies listed in the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index remains limited. This study examines the partial and simultaneous effects of the cost of goods sold and sales on net income. A quantitative causal design was employed using data from 33 food and beverage companies selected through purposive sampling, generating 165 firm-year observations for the 2020–2024 period. Secondary data were obtained from annual financial statements published on the official Indonesia Stock Exchange website and analyzed using fixed-effects panel data regression with EViews 12. The results indicate that the cost of goods sold has a negative and significant effect on net income, whereas sales have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect net income. The adjusted R² value of 0.928343 demonstrates that the model explains 92.83% of the variation in net income. These findings confirm that sales growth must be accompanied by effective cost management to improve corporate profitability. This study contributes empirical evidence on the determinants of net income among Sharia-compliant food and beverage companies in Indonesia and highlights the importance of strengthening production efficiency, inventory control, pricing strategies, and profitable market expansion.

Abstract

The increasing use of Instagram as a promotional and communication platform has created new opportunities for public libraries to strengthen audience engagement; however, empirical evidence on engagement performance among regency-level public libraries remains limited. This study analyzes the engagement rate of the Instagram account @perpustakaanumumkabupatensolok, managed by the Solok Regency Public Library. A quantitative descriptive design was employed to examine 114 posts published from September to December 2025 using total sampling. Data were collected through direct observation, documentation, and a structured coding sheet comprising likes, comments, shares, saves, follower counts, and content categories. Descriptive statistics and engagement rate calculations were applied to analyze the data. The findings indicate that entertainment and inspirational content generated the highest mean engagement rate at 1.81%, followed by event promotion at 1.63%, educational content at 1.55%, and service information at 0.90%. These results demonstrate that visually appealing, communicative, and emotionally engaging content elicited stronger audience responses than operational service information. This study contributes to the literature on social media engagement in public library communication by identifying content categories associated with higher audience interaction. Practically, public libraries should enhance educational and service-related content through interactive formats, concise captions, and visually attractive presentations. Future research should extend the observation period, incorporate additional Instagram performance metrics, and compare engagement patterns across multiple public library accounts.

Abstract

The implementation of the pedagogical deep learning approach within the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the Eight Graduate Profile Dimensions as essential competencies that should be developed from early childhood education. The Prasiaga extracurricular program at TK Negeri Pembina Kepanjen represents one strategy for strengthening children’s character and life skills through structured, developmentally appropriate activities. This study analyzes the implementation of the Eight Graduate Profile Dimensions in the Prasiaga extracurricular program, describes the implementation process, and identifies its supporting and inhibiting factors. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data credibility was established through source triangulation, time triangulation, and member checking. The findings indicate that all Eight Graduate Profile Dimensions were systematically integrated through program planning, habituation, play-based activities, moral reinforcement, and role modeling by scout leaders and assistants. The program was conducted through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages that effectively supported the development of children’s character, independence, discipline, communication, collaboration, creativity, health awareness, and critical reasoning. Adequate facilities and institutional funding supported program implementation, whereas the limited number of facilitators and inconsistent student attendance constituted the primary constraints. These findings demonstrate that the Prasiaga extracurricular program provides an effective model for integrating the Eight Graduate Profile Dimensions and strengthening character education in early childhood settings. The study contributes practical insights for early childhood institutions seeking to implement profile-based competency development through structured extracurricular activities.

Abstract

The teaching of Qur’an–Hadith, particularly tajwid for eighth-grade Islamic junior high school students, continues to face challenges arising from reliance on conventional instructional materials, limited use of technology-enhanced learning media, and the suboptimal integration of the Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta; KBC), which may reduce students’ motivation and learning outcomes. This study aimed to develop an interactive multimedia application integrating KBC values into tajwid instruction and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. A Research and Development approach was employed using the 4-D model, comprising Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate stages. The multimedia application was developed using Articulate Storyline and tested with eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 11 Agam. Product quality was assessed through expert validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness testing using N-Gain analysis. The findings demonstrated that the developed multimedia satisfied the criteria for validity, practicality, and effectiveness, indicating its feasibility for classroom implementation. The application integrates text, images, audio, video, animation, and interactive exercises with the Five Pillars of Love promoted within KBC, thereby facilitating a more engaging and meaningful learning experience. Its implementation also improved students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by the effectiveness test. The study concludes that the developed interactive multimedia is suitable for supporting tajwid instruction in eighth-grade Qur’an–Hadith classes. This study contributes an innovative instructional medium that enables teachers to integrate educational technology with character education, thereby strengthening student engagement and enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the learning process.

Abstract

The sustainable development of regional football achievement requires systematic management capable of optimizing athletes’ potential. In Kerinci Regency, however, limited funding, inadequate training facilities, a shortage of licensed coaches, and weak athlete data management continue to constrain the effectiveness of football development. This study aims to analyze the management of the Indonesian Football Association (Persatuan Sepak Bola Seluruh Indonesia [PSSI]) in developing football achievement in Kerinci Regency based on the management functions of planning, organizing, directing, and controlling. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews with ten informants selected through purposive and snowball sampling. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that PSSI Kerinci Regency has implemented the core management functions in developing football achievement, although their application remains suboptimal. Athlete development programs have been systematically designed and implemented in stages, the organizational structure and division of responsibilities have been established, and program evaluations are conducted periodically. Nevertheless, implementation is constrained by limited financial resources, insufficient human-resource capacity, inadequate training facilities, a shortage of licensed coaches, and an unstructured athlete documentation system. The study concludes that strengthening strategic planning, improving human-resource quality and training infrastructure, and enhancing collaboration among PSSI, the Indonesian National Sports Committee (Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia [KONI]), and the local government are essential for supporting the sustainable development of football achievement in Kerinci Regency. These findings contribute practical insights into strengthening regional sports-management systems and improving institutional coordination in football development.
