Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze Job Loss Social Security (JKP) as regulated in Government Regulation No. 37 of 2021 and assess its effectiveness in providing protection for workers. The research adopts normative legal research methods, utilizing a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. In conclusion, JKP, as outlined in Government Regulation No. 37 of 2021, is associated with the Implementation of the Job Loss Social Security Program, managed by BPJS Employment and the Central Government. Participants in the JKP program, namely workers, are entitled to benefits in the form of cash, access to market information, and job training. Despite workers experiencing benefits when submitting claims to BPJS Employment, the research indicates that JKP, based on Government Regulation No. 37 of 2021, has not fully provided adequate protection for workers. Several obstacles have been identified in its implementation, including insufficient socialization of JKP by BPJS Employment, participant registration being handled by company administrators leading to mis-targeting, limited technological literacy among workers, undocumented layoffs, and a lack of direct connectivity between the JKP application and the "Ready to Work" application at the Manpower Service, which is not directly linked to BPJS Employment.

Abstract

Unlike conventional energy sources, solar lights provide access to sustainable lighting in areas not yet covered by the electricity grid. However, it is also important to carry out a detailed analysis of the energy effectiveness of using streetlights. The aim of this research is to analyze the difference in energy effectiveness between the use of conventional streetlights and solar panel-based streetlights. The research method used in this research is a field research method with a comparative approach. Field research is an approach that involves collecting data directly from the location or place where the phenomenon under study occurs. This research uses a comparative approach, where in this case the researcher compares the energy effectiveness between the two types of streetlights used, namely conventional streetlights in Andongsili Village and solar panel-based streetlights in Bumerto Village, both are in Central Java. The results of this research prove that solar panel-based streetlights have extraordinary energy effectiveness, converting sunlight into a sufficient resource for lighting throughout the night. The use of solar panel-based streetlights has a positive impact on the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. Additionally, in the context of remote villages that have limited electricity supplies, solar panel-based streetlights bring significant benefits in providing sustainable lighting. The use of solar panel-based streetlights provides significant financial benefits in the long term compared to conventional streetlights.

Abstract

This research aims to describe how the BIMP-EAGA Sub-Regional Cooperation works through the Green City Action Plan (GCAP) in Kendari City, Indonesia, which has been published since 2016, using the concepts of Sub-Regional Cooperation and Environmentalism. The type of data used is primary & secondary data through qualitative data analysis techniques. The research results show that the BIMP-EAGA collaboration through the Green City Action Plan in Kendari is realized through 5 priority programs ranging from improving the sanitation system to the tidal power plant in Kendari Bay which is a pilot. The Kendari Green City Action Plan program is designed to be completed in 2035. However, during its implementation until 2023, there have been no reports or news that publish the results or progress of the GCAP program for Kendari via the BIMP-EAGA Asia website, KESR, or even the Kendari City Government itself, so this research was born as a form of criticism of this collaboration.
