Abstract

Public concern and awareness of climate change has made many business sectors start to think about implementing sustainability strategies in their business activities. Of course, this is related to accommodating the market for people who are already aware of environmental issues. In the banking world, this can mean using strategies to protect the environment, such as using digital technology to reduce paper use and reduce face-to-face meetings, which will indirectly have an impact on reducing carbon emissions in transportation modes. However, it turns out that excessive use of digital technology actually creates digital waste which has an equally negative impact on the environment. There is a need for a thorough understanding of the issue of digitalization which can be a double-edged sword for environmental sustainability. This research wants to see to what extent the banking sector in Indonesia has responded to this issue so that they can maintain their business while preserving the environment. This research uses a literature review method to search for broader information and filter it in order to see a bigger picture regarding banking sustainability strategies, Green Banking, throughout the world. Green banking implemented by banks can channel funds, especially on credit, to the community by implementing an eco-friendly environmental system.

Abstract

Digitalization in banking has changed the way banks operate and interact with their customers. Starting with the emergence of ATM machines, then developing into internet banking and mobile banking, and now comes with various e-wallet and fintech applications that offer convenience in transactions. Generation Z as digital native really benefits from this development because they can easily take advantage of the digital services provided by banks to support their transactions. Even so, not many Gen-Z realize the importance of utilizing banking products for their future (both for investment and protection) because they tend to have impulsive consumption behaviour. Many factors cause a lack of awareness of the need to do investment and to have protection, one of which is their low financial literacy. This article aims to identify and analyse the benefits of digital banking services in three main aspects: transactions, savings, investment, and protection. With a focus on generation Z in Indonesia, this article will discuss how these services can support future economic sustainability. This article was prepared using a literature study method by analysing previous scientific articles that discussed the topic of digital banking and its implications for economic growth and financial stability from the perception of Generation Z.

Abstract

Research on the results of using Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) has emerged as a key area of interest for HRM practices in contemporary businesses, some of which are starting to emerge in Indonesia. This research makes use of the PRISMA paradigm in a Systematic Literature Review approach. This study aims to give a thorough overview of recent research on GHRM implementation, including new concerns, operational procedures and policies that are required, the results of GHRM implementation, and suggestions for additional research on the subject of GHRM's effects in Indonesian businesses. The results of this study show that, despite laws imposed by the Indonesian government mandating businesses to manage their environmental impact, there is still a dearth of research on GHRM in Indonesia, which prevents many Indonesian businesses from implementing GHRM practices. Green performance management, green pay and incentive systems, green training and development, and green recruiting and selection are some of the ways that GHRM practices can be implemented. The success of implementing Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) is significantly impacted by various factors such as organizational commitment, the socialization of GHRM programs, environmental education, employee empowerment, and the company's physical environment.

Abstract

As the world progresses, environmental issues have become a pressing concern for all nations, including Indonesia. Green entrepreneurship has gained prominence as a viable approach to fostering new business opportunities and economic growth. In the face of Indonesia's entrepreneurial and environmental challenges, aspiring entrepreneurs must adapt to become green entrepreneurs. This research delves into the concepts of Green Entrepreneurial Intention (GEI) and Green Entrepreneurial Behavior (GEB). The study aims to elucidate the variables involved by drawing upon data sources from previous research. A literature review is employed, relying on evidence from existing phenomena and research findings. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) serves as the theoretical framework for exploring the research. The study focuses solely on the empirically supported proposition that GEI positively influences GEB. The findings offer valuable insights for stakeholders regarding the significance of cultivating GEI among individuals through education and training on green entrepreneurship, as well as providing access to capital and mentorship for aspiring green entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study explores the effect of participative leadership style and the implementation of Green Hotel Management on environmental performance in Semarang hotels. In this context, leadership style plays an important role in directing and motivating employees to achieve organizational goals, especially in the implementation of green hotel programs. This quantitative study involved 150 hotel employees who had worked for one year, and used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of AMOS 2.0 software to analyze the data. The results showed that participative leadership style and the implementation of green hotel management individually and simultaneously had a positive and significant influence on environmental performance. This finding is in line with previous studies showing that leadership that supports green programs and the implementation of green hotel practices can improve environmental performance. Based on these results, this study recommends that communication regarding green practices and cost implications should be carried out frequently to increase employee awareness, which can ultimately strengthen the success of implementing green hotels in Semarang.
