Abstract

The use of digital marketing in Islamic philanthropic institutions, especially for the collection of Zakat, Infaq, and Shodaqoh (ZIS) funds, is a strategic innovation that increases the effectiveness of fundraising. This study using qualitative descriptive methods, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and digital media analysis. The Organisation utilizes various digital platforms such as websites, social media (Instagram, Facebook), and QR codes as the main tools for fundraising. The strategies implemented include the use of storytelling, educational content, and transparent financial reporting, which have been proven to significantly increase community involvement. The results of the study showed an increase in the number of donors by up to 40% and a change in donation behaviour, with more people choosing to donate online and regularly. However, challenges remain, such as limited digital marketing expertise, limited budget, and public scepticism towards the transparency of zakat funds. From an Islamic economic perspective, strategy is in line with sharia principles such as transparency, justice, and welfare. The study recommends increasing digital capacity, collaborating with Muslim influencers, and strengthening public trust through strong narratives and open reporting. A sustainable and sharia-compliant digital strategy can increase fundraising and wider social impact in society.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the context of a sustainable blue economy opens up strategic opportunities to address various social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by coastal communities. This study examines the integration of blockchain technology and green sukuk financing instruments as an innovative strategy that has the potential to empower coastal communities inclusively. This research method uses a conceptual approach and literature study. The research findings show that collaboration between blockchain and green sukuk can improve efficiency, transparency, and accountability in the management of environmentally-oriented projects. In addition, this approach allows real-time tracking of funds, strengthens data-based reporting, and encourages active participation of local communities in conservation initiatives. This integration also plays an important role in expanding financial access for groups that have been marginalized, through an environmentally friendly sharia financing scheme. However, the implementation of this model is not without challenges, such as low digital literacy, limited technological infrastructure, and the absence of supporting regulations. Therefore, a gradual, collaborative implementation strategy is needed, and is adjusted to local conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Price Bundling, Physical Evidence, and Store Atmosphere on Consumer Purchasing Decisions. A quantitative approach was employed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique. Each independent variable Price Bundling, Physical Evidence, and Store Atmosphere were measured using specific indicators. Data was collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a total of 100 respondents. The findings reveal that Price Bundling has a positive but insignificant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. In contrast, Physical Evidence and Store Atmosphere both have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. These results suggest that although price bundling strategies provide a positive perception, they are not strong enough to significantly influence consumer decisions. On the other hand, visual elements and the store’s atmosphere are more effective in encouraging consumers to make purchases. This highlights the importance of creating an appealing environment and enhancing tangible elements to attract and retain buyers.

Abstract

The Indonesian skincare industry has experienced significant growth, largely driven by technological innovations and the widespread use of social media as a key marketing tool. This study examines how social media marketing influences consumer purchase intention for Somethinc products, with a particular focus on the mediating effects of brand trust and brand image. Somethinc's strategy of leveraging visually appealing content across its social media platforms is identified as a competitive advantage. Adopting a quantitative approach, the study gathered data from 170 respondents, including both loyal and potential Somethinc customers, via a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through SmartPLS. The findings reveal that social media marketing has a positive impact on brand trust and brand image, which, in turn, significantly affect purchase intention. However, no direct effect was found between social media marketing or brand image and purchase intention. This suggests that while social media marketing may not directly lead to purchases, it plays a crucial role in shaping brand perceptions, which ultimately influence consumer buying behavior. These insights are valuable for skincare brands looking to refine their digital marketing strategies and boost consumer engagement in the highly competitive digital marketplace.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse spanning 1996–2022, analyzed deforestation determinants in Indonesia using a Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) to assess short and long-term variable relationships. We focused on GDP per capita, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), population density, and renewable energy consumption. Results support the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) hypothesis, showing an inverted U-shaped relationship between GDP per capita and deforestation. Deforestation initially increased with economic growth but declined after a turning point of USD 2,443.41 million GDP per capita, around 2009–2010. This suggests that as Indonesia developed, environmental awareness and forest conservation efforts increased. Furthermore, population density and renewable energy consumption significantly reduced deforestation, While FDI had an insignificant positive effect, its impact was statistically irrelevant when considering overall market trends. Policy implications highlight the need for stronger forest governance post-economic development era, to ensure sustainable management, combat illegal activities, and mitigate environmental degradation and have turning point, strict regulation of land-based renewable energy projects, and careful monitoring of investments potentially threatening forest sustainability.

Abstract

This study investigates the legal status and legitimacy of crown witnesses in the Indonesian criminal justice system a practice still widely used despite lacking explicit legal foundation in the Criminal Procedure Code. The study aims to evaluate whether the crown witness practices aligning with procedural and human rights principles embedded in the Criminal Procedure Code and international law. Using normative legal research with statutory and conceptual approaches, this study analyzes the inconsistency between crown witness practices and Articles 185 and 189 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which clearly differentiate between the roles of witnesses and defendants. Findings reveal that this practice undermines legal certainty, violates the principle of non-self-incrimination in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and creates a conflict of interest for defendants testifying under oath in related cases. The study concludes that the justice collaborator framework recognized in Supreme Court Circular Number 4/2011 and Law Number 31/2014 offers a more legitimate alternative. It recommends formal codification of witness cooperation in the Criminal Procedure Code reform to uphold fair trial guarantees.

Abstract

The importance of reading comprehension is key for middle school children, especially in descriptive texts where narrative vivid, clear attention to the facts and sensory aspects is needed. But Indonesian eighth-grade students experienced some difficulties in reading because of a lack of vocabulary, have no reading strategy and have lower interest in reading. The purpose of study is to investigate whether the Read, Cover, Remember, Retell (RCRR) strategy effective in teaching reading comprehension of descriptive texts. A quasi-experimental approach with pre- and post-test measurements on experimental and control groups was used. Preliminary results revealed that students in both groups had mostly average reading comprehension abilities with little representation of high‐or low‐performers. The group of students that was exposed to RCRR made marked improvement - 77% in the excellent range, and one student at the level of very high. In comparison, the control group, taught in the traditional manner, gained only minimally with 55% achieving the high category and none the very high category. These findings indicate that not only does the RCRR intervention enhance comprehension, but it also leads to more students achieving advanced levels of comprehension. In short, the RCRR approach is a feasible and efficacious approach English teachers to enhance students’ comprehension and engagement with descriptive texts.
