Abstract

Knowledge and technology in the field of medicine are developing rapidly and have a significant impact on humanity. One of these advancements is the discovery of a new method to address the issue of couples who are unable to conceive naturally, known medically as in vitro fertilization. This study analyzes the in vitro fertilization program through surrogacy from the perspective of the maṣlaḥah theory in Islamic law. The aim of this research is to assess the compatibility of this practice with maqāṣid al-syarī’ah, particularly in preserving lineage (ḥifẓ al-nasl). Using a literature review method with a qualitative approach, the study finds that surrogacy offers benefits for couples who cannot have children naturally. However, the practice also carries significant risks to the clarity of lineage (nasab), which could lead to negative consequences within the Islamic family law system. Based on the maṣlaḥah theory, surrogacy is more likely to fall under the category of maṣlaḥah mulghāh (rejected benefit), because, although it has potential advantages, its negative impacts outweigh the benefits. Therefore, in the context of Islamic law, this practice is not acceptable as it contradicts the principles of maqāṣid al-syarī’ah in preserving the purity of nasab.

Abstract

Indonesian migrant workers often fall victim to exploitation and become entangled in illegal employment in their destination countries. To address this issue, the Indonesian government has implemented various empowerment policies aimed at preventing migrant workers from engaging in illegal work. The objective of this research is to analyze the effectiveness of the empowerment policies enacted by the government in preventing illegal employment. This study employs a socio-legal approach, which combines legal and social analysis to explore the empowerment policies for migrant workers. The methodology involves a review of legal documents related to government policies, interviews with authorities and migrant workers, as well as field observations to assess the implementation of the policies and their impact on migrant workers. The findings indicate that the empowerment policies for migrant workers have positively influenced their understanding of the risks associated with illegal employment, although challenges in monitoring and enforcement persist. Furthermore, most migrant workers feel better prepared due to the information provided through government programs. This research concludes that empowerment policies have played a crucial role in preventing migrant workers from becoming involved in illegal employment, despite existing barriers to implementation in the field. The implications of this research highlight the need for enhanced coordination among government agencies and stricter oversight to improve the effectiveness of these policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the role of stakeholders in providing protection for victims of hit-and-run crimes in traffic accidents. Law enforcement practices in Indonesia are often colored by things that are contrary to the principles that uphold human rights. Since ancient times, the human rights of Indonesian citizens have often been ignored or neglected, including victims of hit-and-run crimes in traffic accidents. Based on this history, the Indonesian government is trying to protect victims of crime, including victims of hit-and-run crimes in traffic accidents. Legal protection for victims of hit-and-run crimes in North Sulawesi has not yet fulfilled a sense of justice and every year the number of victims increases, both minor injuries, serious injuries, and even death. In this case, the role of institutions is very much needed. In conclusion, the role of stakeholders in protecting victims of hit-and-run crimes in North Sulawesi includes the role of the North Sulawesi Regional Police which uses penal and non-penal efforts. As well as the role played by the North Sulawesi Regional Government. This role is a concrete step in realizing the goal of protecting victims of hit and run accidents, especially those that occur in North Sulawesi.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine how Augmented Reality (AR) technology influences user experience in the context of educational tourism. The study was conducted using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol, reviewing 13 selected scientific articles obtained from the Scopus database over the past ten years. The analysis was conducted using a thematic analysis approach, focusing on the dimensions of interactivity, perceived authenticity, user engagement, and learning effectiveness. The study findings indicate that the use of AR generally enhances the quality of educational experiences for tourists through immersive visual interfaces, integration of contextual narratives, and personalized content. Several theories, including TAM, SOR, UTAUT, and Perceived Authenticity, were consistently applied to explain the relationship between technology and user behavior. However, this study also identified significant challenges, including infrastructure limitations, low digital literacy, and the lack of integration of local cultural values in AR content development. Therefore, it is recommended to develop cross-sectoral strategies and more adaptive methodological approaches to the local context so that AR technology can be applied more widely and inclusively in supporting learning and cultural preservation in the educational tourism industry.

Abstract

This research uses the PRISMA 2020-based Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to analyze the role of Human Resources (HR) in building a marketing team that is responsive to global market changes. This research aims to explore how HR management can improve the ability of marketing teams to adapt quickly to market changes, as well as to identify the skills and competencies required by marketing team members. A literature search was conducted through databases such as Scopus, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect. The results show that HR strategies that integrate technologies such as Data-Driven Decision-Making and blockchain, as well as the development of adaptation skills and responsive leadership, are highly effective in enhancing the marketing team's ability to respond to global market dynamics. In addition, continuous training and the development of a flexible organizational culture play an important role in creating innovative and responsive marketing teams. Challenges such as inequality in technology adoption, international regulatory differences, and limitations of the research methodology still pose barriers to the practical application of these findings. This study suggests that future research should delve deeper into the influence of innovative technologies in HRM and strategies that can overcome real-world implementation challenges.

Abstract

Financial literacy is an essential skill for the 21st century, yet understanding is often limited, especially when delivered in a foreign language. This study aims to examine the impact of foreign language on risk taking, financial attitudes and behavior of High School Students in Surakarta, with a focus on risk taking values, financial attitudes, and financial behavior. The research is conducted in two stages: the first stage conceptualizes the influence of teaching media (TM) and the native language on risk-taking, while the second stage analyzes its impact on financial attitudes and behaviors. The results show that both the use of English and the native language significantly affect students' risk-taking values, which in turn influence their financial attitudes and behaviors. These findings support the Foreign Language Effect theory, which suggests that foreign language can reduce emotional bias and facilitate more rational decision-making. This study highlights the importance of bilingual financial literacy education that considers the influence of language and culture in enhancing financial risk understanding and making more informed financial decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of different types of feed, namely natural the growth and color brightness of GloFish Starfire Red. Achieving optimal color brightness and growth is essential in ornamental fish cultivation, as these factors directly impact the marketability and economic value of the fish. The research employed a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments each replicated three times to ensure the validity of results. The parameters measured in this study included absolute weight growth, absolute length increase, and brightness in color. Color brightness was analyzed using a digital visual comparison tool to ensure objective measurement. The findings revealed that natural feed significantly enhanced both weight and length growth when compared to artificial feed. Furthermore, fish that were fed with Chironomidae exhibited a more pronounced improvement in color brightness than those subjected to other treatments. These results suggest that specific types of natural feed may offer superior benefits over artificial feed in promoting both aesthetic and physical development in ornamental fish like Glofish Starfire Red.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of product quality on customer satisfaction, corporate reputation, and its impact on customer loyalty among active participants of PT. Taspen (Persero) in Indonesia. It employs an explanatory research design with a sample of 240 respondents selected using a random sampling method. Sampling was conducted at five branch offices with the largest number of active participants. The data analysis method used was Structural Equation Modelling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings reveal that product quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. However, product quality does not significantly affect corporate reputation. Additionally, both customer satisfaction and corporate reputation have a significant positive effect on customer loyalty. This indicates that when customers are satisfied and perceive a good corporate reputation, they are more likely to remain loyal and continue using services. The study highlights the importance of customer satisfaction as a key driver of loyalty, even more than corporate reputation in this context. These results provide valuable insights into improving service strategies.
