The Covid-19 pandemic can change consumer habits and behavior, consumer preferences regarding health products they buy in the marketplace are increasingly shifting. Health products that became the best-selling products during the pandemic include masks, hand sanitizers, face shields and vitamin C. This study aims to determine the criteria for each health product based on the attributes of health products in popular marketplaces in Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a survey conducted to 100 respondents. The data is then analyzed using a multidimensional scaling approach to produce a map of the best-selling health products on popular marketplaces in Indonesia. The results show that the product that has the most superior rating in various health product attributes is the mask product, followed by vitamin C, face shield and hand sanitizer. This can be seen from the various attributes involved such as efficiency, effectiveness, health benefits, side effects, ingredients, caution, targeting accuracy, product reactions and product durability. This study shows that the attribute value of a product can change along with changes in the environment and consumer needs.

Abstract

The study discusses the crucial role of training evaluation for State Civil Apparatus (Aparatur Sipil Negara or ASN) and how the shift to distance learning methods, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, has impacted training effectiveness. The evaluation aims to measure the impact of training on participants’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes, as well as its effects on the organizations. The results of the evaluation indicate that distance learning is preferred by alumni due to its flexibility, but there is a need for higher-quality facilitators in delivering content via information technology. Despite the remote nature of training, participants still achieve their intended competencies. The evaluation also assesses the impact of training on participants’ behavior and workplace performance. Notably, National Leadership Training Level I and II have a more positive influence on sustainability and work performance when using blended learning, while Administrator Leadership Training, Supervisory Leadership Training, and the Pre-Service Training Program show a stronger impact on sustainability and work performance with distance learning. The findings emphasize the significance of the chosen learning method in shaping training outcomes. This information is valuable for refining training policies to meet the evolving demands of the bureaucracy.

Abstract

The case study has derived from an Indonesian geothermal company established in 2008 that focused on one of its projects located in a mining site at Muara Laboh, Solok Selatan, Sumatra Barat, Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to identify the nature and form of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives conducted by the company at the Muara Laboh site; determine stakeholder contribution to the sustainability of CSR outcomes; analyse the relationship between stakeholders and the company; analyse the expectation differences between the company, stakeholder, and CSR/Stakeholder theory; identify future agenda development on the next stakeholder program; gives a reference for the subsequent research regarding a sustainable CSR program. The research method used in this research was a qualitative case study with a semi-structured interview as the source of primary data, where the population of this research was stakeholders of the company, with the method of purposive sampling for attaining the information. The study was imperative to learn the effectiveness of the company’s CSR in supporting stakeholders of the upstream supply chain. The result showed that the company has effectively implemented CSR for local communities in the Muara Laboh mining area. Moreover, local communities have had a good relationship and felt helped since the company came to their villages. However, there has been some expectation discrepancy between the company and local people. The distinction happened because the locals wanted material things such as donations and infrastructure. Nevertheless, they need more economic empowerment programs that can support sustainability or programs that can generate long-term benefits, not only material things that will run out if not used properly

Abstract

The growth of the industrial sector that continues to grow requires companies to have high competitiveness capabilities. Companies in order to survive in intensive competition and remain competitive with other companies are required to be able to innovate. One internal approach that can be used to create competitive advantage is to use a Resource Based View (RBV). This Resource Based View (RBV) method examines a company's assets, expertise, capabilities, and intangible assets, including the internal resources of the company, and determines its strategic advantage. The Resource Based View (RBV) approach highlights a company's capabilities and resources that are unique to that company and adds significant value for the company. Using the Resource Based View (RBV) theory which focuses on the resources owned by the company and its capabilities can provide an appropriate theoretical perspective for examining how internal factors can become resources to generate competitive advantage to increase the company's strategic capacity. Establishing a framework with a Resource Based View (RBV) approach for companies is expected to provide the right framework to have high competitiveness for companies originating from the management and use of company capacities and resources.

Abstract

Food security in Indonesia is still experiencing problems, especially in the West Java region, starting from the problem of food availability and the ability of the community to meet food needs. The goal of food security is access for every household or individual to obtain food for the purposes of a healthy life with requirements for receiving food in accordance with prevailing values or culture by taking into account socio-economic conditions, access and availability of food. This study describes the condition of food security in the West Java Region as an implementation of food security policies issued by the Regional Government of West Java. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collected is sourced from primary and secondary data. The primary data comes from interviews with informants, including the heads of farmer groups, millers, rice and grain marketers and related agencies at the provincial level of West Java. Secondary data is sourced from the West Java Province Agriculture and Food Crops Office, the West Java Provincial Food Security Agency, and the West Java Regional Division of Bulog (Divre). The results of the study show that the food security policy of the West Java regional government in realizing food security has not made any significant changes to the yields of food crops obtained in West Java, even though the Regional Regulation of West Java Province No.  4 of 2012 concerning Regional Food Independence and other policies has been enacted in terms of food policy.
