Abstract

This study is motivated by the critical role of strengthening students’ spiritual literacy as a core objective of Islamic education. Islamic education teachers play a central role in nurturing religious habits, modelling spiritual behavior, and implementing reflective and contextual learning strategies. To analyze how religious habituation, Islamic education teacher exemplarity, and reflection-based learning strategies collectively contribute to strengthening students’ spiritual literacy. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research collects data through observations of school religious activities, interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of school religious programs. The findings reveal that strategies such as daily Qur’an recitation (tadarus), collective prayers, congregational Dhuha prayers, and Qur’anic literacy programs effectively enhance students’ discipline in worship and spiritual awareness. Teacher exemplarity and active student participation further reinforce the internalization of religious values, while reflective and humanistic learning approaches enable students to cognitively understand, internalize, and apply these teachings in daily life. The study concludes that religious habituation, teacher role modelling, and reflective learning are essential in strengthening spiritual literacy, emphasizing the need for institutional support and innovative, sustainable Islamic education programs.

Abstract

This study investigates Counterproductive Work Behavior (CWB) among Indonesian Civil Servants, where professionalism remains suboptimal despite improvements in formal performance evaluations, indicating a gap between assessed performance and actual behavior. Grounded in social exchange theory, this research aims to examine the effects of Leader Member Exchange (LMX) and organizational justice on CWB, with work engagement as a mediating variable and emotional intelligence as a moderating variable. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing survey data collected from 311 respondents through proportionate cluster random sampling within a regional government context. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that organizational justice significantly enhances work engagement and reduces CWB, while work engagement negatively affects CWB and mediates the relationship between organizational justice and CWB. Conversely, LMX and emotional intelligence do not exhibit significant direct or moderating effects. These findings suggest that fostering organizational justice and strengthening employee engagement are essential for mitigating counterproductive behaviors. In conclusion, enhancing fairness and promoting engagement constitute critical strategies for improving employee behavior in public sector organizations.

Abstract

Access to capital is a crucial factor in the sustainability of the agricultural sector, especially in production centers such as Kintamani, Bali. This study aims to explore farmers’ accessibility to Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), its impact on their welfare, as well as its implication on the interest of regeneration. Welfare, as well as its implication on young farmers’ regeneration interest. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in Kintamani. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 21 informants consisting of farmers, farmers group association/LKM administrators, village government, and the younger generation, as well as field observations. Field observation. The results showed a dualism of access to capital where traditional farmers prefer the informal sector (middlemen) because of the ease of procedures (zero admin) and speed of liquidity compared to formal MFIs. Speed of liquidity compared to formal MFIs. In terms of welfare, the existing access to capital has not been able to become a significant economic leverage and only functions as a safety net in a cycle of “digging holes closing holes”. Transformation is needed institutionalization of Farmers Group Association into an off-taker and modernization of technology to re-attract the younger generation.

Abstract

The workforce is shifting as Generation Z (born 1997–2012), the first true digital natives, enters workplaces with unique traits shaped by connectivity, instant information, and strong social-environmental awareness. This creates opportunities and challenges for human resource management, requiring adaptations in recruitment, development, evaluation, and culture to sustain engagement and retention. This article aims to conceptually examine how human resource management can effectively respond to the needs and expectations of Generation Z in the workplace. The study adopts a conceptual review approach, synthesizing recent scholarly literature, global reports, and empirical insights from reputable sources to explore generational dynamics and propose adaptive strategies. The findings indicate that Generation Z prioritizes meaningful work, flexibility, continuous learning, real-time feedback, inclusivity, and mental health support over traditional rewards alone. They expect technology-integrated processes, value-aligned organizations, and human-centered environments that reject rigid hierarchies. These insights imply that organizations must transform human resource management into a strategic, agile function focused on authenticity, digital enablement, and employee well-being. Successful adaptation can lead to higher engagement, stronger retention of young talent, and enhanced innovation, while failure to evolve risks increased turnover and reduced competitiveness in attracting the next generation of workers.

Abstract

Women’s participation in MSMEs plays a vital role in strengthening household welfare and local economic resilience in Indonesia. This study analyzes women’s empowerment strategies through the Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization in Bandung City to enhance family economic resilience, focusing on MSMEs. Employing a qualitative approach via case study and SWOT analysis along with IFAS and EFAS matrices, the research identifies external opportunities such as local government policy support, growth in creative MSME sectors, digital technology utilization, societal interest in halal or local products, and partnerships with sharia financial institutions. However, external threats include intense competition in urban MSMEs, economic instability and price fluctuations, rapid technological changes, and dependency on external aid. The results demonstrate that integrating NU’s religious values with empowerment programs effectively strengthens holistic family economic independence. The conclusion emphasizes the need for synergy between micro-financial management and macro support through stakeholder collaboration for sustainability. Recommendations include ongoing mentoring and the establishment of a dedicated coordination institution.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the vulnerability of regional development banks to credit risk amid macroeconomic fluctuations and the inconsistency of previous research findings. The aims of this study is to analyze the effects of inflation, gross domestic product, exchange rates, and the policy interest rate on credit risk, as well as the moderating role of bank size in 27 regional development banks in Indonesia during the 2020–2024 period. The study employs a causal quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique (524 observations) and Moderated Regression Analysis. The results show that inflation, gross domestic product, and the policy interest rate have a positive and significant effect on credit risk, while the exchange rate has a negative and significant effect. Bank size is proven to moderate all macroeconomic variables by weakening the effects of inflation, gross domestic product, and the policy interest rate, while strengthening the effect of exchange rates on credit risk. These findings imply that strengthening bank assets and size is a crucial factor in enhancing the resilience of regional development banks in facing economic pressures to maintain credit quality stability.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital financial services has made paylater applications popular among Generation Z, driven by both functional benefits and emotional trust, yet posing risks of consumptive behavior and financial problems. This study examines the influence of hedonic value and performance expectancy Generation Z’s interest in using paylater applications, with platform trust as a moderating variable. A quantitative approach was employed, targeting 155 respondents aged 18–27 in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that performance expectancy positively and significantly influences interest in using paylater applications, while hedonic value does not show a significant effect. Moreover, trust in digital paylater platforms negatively moderates the effect of performance expectancy on user interest. These findings highlight that perceived functional benefits are the main driver of Generation Z’s adoption of paylater services, providing insights for digital finance providers to enhance user engagement responsibly. The study implies that providers should design paylater services that balance user convenience and enjoyment with mechanisms that promote responsible financial behavior.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of work and family demands in the post-pandemic era has heightened psychological challenges, particularly among working women with dual roles. This study aims to examine the effect of emotion regulation on psychological well-being mediated by conflict-mediated dual roles of working women in North Sulawesi. The study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design and involved 202 female worker respondents in North Sulawesi. The instruments used included psychological well-being support scales, emotion regulation, and dual role conflicts that have been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was carried out using the path analysis method in the JASP software. The results of the study show that emotion regulation is directly related to psychological well-being, emotion regulation has a negative relationship with dual role conflicts, and dual role conflicts have a significant negative relationship with psychological well-being. Dual role conflicts mediate the relationship between emotion regulation and psychological well-being. These findings confirm that emotion regulation is a predictor in the achievement of psychological well-being of workers in North Sulawesi, and the conflict of dual roles as mediators. The mediation model that has been formed is a partial mediation.
