Abstract

The problem in this study is the low activity and learning outcomes of mathematics students. The cause is one-way dominant learning and student difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts. Efforts made to overcome this problem is by using a combination of PBL, GI, and Talking Stick Models in learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the activities of teachers and analyze the improvement of student activity and learning outcomes. The approach used is a qualitative approach to the type of Class Action Research (PTK) during 4 meetings in Class V SDN Belitung Selatan 5 which amounted to 22 students. Types of data used are qualitative and quantitative data. The results of this study showed that the activity of teachers has increased, at the 1st meeting obtained a score of 28 with the category “Good” until at the 4th meeting obtained a score of 43 with the category “very good”. Student activity has increased, at meeting 1 reached 41% with the category “A small percentage of active students” until at meeting 4 reached 100% with the Category “All students are very active”. Learning outcomes have increased in every aspect of the category of “a small percentage of students complete " to "all students complete". At meetings 1 to 4 cognitive aspects increased from 36% to 100%, affective at meetings 1 to 4 increased from 41% to 100% and psychomotor at meetings 1 to 4 increased from 41% to 100%. So, based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the combination of PBL, GI, and Talking Stick models can improve student activity and learning outcomes. The results of this study are expected to be used as a reference in using learning models that can improve students ' mathematical activities and learning outcomes.

Abstract

In this study, the problem lies in the fact that students tend to be passive and do not ask questions when learning mathematics with the material of the volume of space, namely blocks. When the teacher asks students questions, they only answer with the answers that are already listed in the book. Students tend to answer based on what they remember and what they know. Researchers tried to find solutions to these problems by using a learning model called problem-based learning. The research approach used in this study is qualitative research, namely action research. The types of data presented in this research are quantitative and qualitative data. Observations with observation sheets provide qualitative data about teacher and student activities during the teaching and learning process. Students' learning outcomes, measured by written tests at the end of each session, provide quantitative data. At UPTD SDN Kurau, this research took place in the even semester of Class V in the 2023/2024 school year. The results showed that teacher, student activities and learning outcomes improved in each cycle with the categories "Very Active" and "Completed" after the action research process was carried out for two meetings in the class. This shows that the problem-based learning model describes successful learning.

Abstract

The problem studied was the low ability of students in critical thinking. To overcome this, a combination learning model of Problem Based Learning (PBL), Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), and Talking Stick was used. In this study using a classroom action research method (PTK) for 4 meetings, with the subject of SDN Handil Bakti class IV students in the 2023/2024 school year with a total of 30 people. Qualitative data were obtained through observation of educator and learner activities and critical thinking skills, while quantitative data were obtained from individual written tests for learner learning outcomes. The results showed that the activity of educators increased from 64% to 96% with the criteria of “Very Good”, while the activity of students increased from 47% to 93% with the criteria of “Very Active”. Critical thinking skills also increased from 37% to 87% with the criteria “Very Skilled”. While the learning outcomes of students increased from 53% to 90%. Thus, the conclusion is that the application of learning using a combination of PBL, STAD, and Talking Stick models is effective in improving students' activities, critical thinking skills, and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar sangat penting dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk menjabarkan aktivitas guru dan aktivitas pembelajaran, berpikir secara kritis dan capaian hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilaksanakan selama 4 pertemuan. Subjek penelitian adalah 27 siswa kelas IV SDN Antasan Besar 1 Banjarmasin yang terdiri dari 15 siswa perempuan dan 12 siswa laki-laki di semester II tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Pendekatan yang diterapkan ialah pendekatan kualitatif, mencakup data observasi aktivitas guru, aktiivitas siswa, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan penggunaan data kuantitatif sebagai hasil belajar siswa yang didapat setelah tes tertulis secara individu maupun kelompok. Hasil dari penelitian menyatakan adanya aktivitas guru dipertemuan 4 mendapat kriteria “Sangat Baik” dengan skor 30. Aktivitas siswa dipertemuan 4 menjadi “Hampir Seluruh Siswa Aktif” dengan persentase 93%. Keterampilan berpikir kritis dipertemuan 4 menjadi “Hampir Seluruh Siswa Terampil” dengan persentase 89%. Hasil belajar siswa dari aspek kognitif mencapai ketuntasan dipertemuan 4.

Abstract

The issue highlighted in this research is the lack of motivation and the persistently low academic performance of students in Pancasila Education. The causes identified include teacher-centered instruction, limited variation in teaching models, minimal implementation of diverse teaching strategies, and the absence of evaluation methods to enhance student performance. To address these issues, the Problem Based Learning, Group Investigations, and Picture And Picture models were employed. The aim of this research is to analyze the increase in student motivation and academic performance. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative method to provide a detailed description of the phenomena being investigated. In addition to the qualitative approach, the research also involves data collection to obtain more relevant information. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted over three sessions. The subjects of the research were the fourth-grade students of class IV B at SDN Sungai Miai 11.

Abstract

The research problem is students learning outcome. This is because students have difficulty understanding PPKn material in learning, both in terms of concepts and problem solving. Students who still have difficulty in PPKn content will have an impact on their cognitive aspects. In the cognitive aspect, the knowledge transfer process which still takes place in one direction is a conventional method which results in students being passive during the learning process so that they are not able to explore the material in more depth, understand concepts, making it difficult to analyze problem solving. Efforts to overcome this problem are by apply the BE SMART model in learning. Determining the learning outcomes for students is the goal of this study.This research used Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 4 meetings in VA clas of SDN Telawang 3 Banjarmasin with a total of 22 students. Both qualitative and quantitative methods are used in this study. The dataa taken is qualitative data obtained through observation and then uses quantitative data for student learning outcomes obtained through group and individual written tests. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that using the BE SMART model can improve student learning outcomes. The results of research using the BE SMART model show that learning outcomes in the cognitive aspect increased from 45% to 100%, the affective aspect increased from 45% to 100% and finally the psychomotor aspect from 32% to 100%. In light of the findings of this study, it can be concluded that using the BE SMART model can enhance the educational results of students.

Abstract

The lack of student activity and cooperation ability during the learning process is a problem raised in this study. The use of the PROSPEK model is an effort to overcome these problems. Using classroom action research (PTK), this research was conducted for four meetings. The data collected is qualitative, which is collected through observing student activities and students' cooperation skills. Meanwhile, quantitative data is in the form of written test results at the time of evaluation. Based on the results of the study, teacher activity increased from a score of 25 to 31 with a "very good" rating. Student activity increased from 43% to 93% with the criterion of "almost all students are very active". Improvement in students' cooperation ability from 43% to 93% with the criterion of "almost all students are highly skilled". Improvements in various areas contributed to improved student learning outcomes, which increased from 43% to 93%. These findings support the idea that using the PROSPEK model can help students become more engaged and develop their collaboration skills.

Abstract

This study identifies issues such as low levels of engagement, collaboration skills, and student learning outcomes during the learning process. To address these challenges, efforts have been made to implement the BISA model in classroom activities. The research aims to outline teacher activities, assess student engagement, analyze collaboration skills, and evaluate student learning outcomes. Conducted as Classroom Action Research (PTK), the study spanned four sessions in a fifth-grade class at SD Negeri 1 Tanjung, involving 12 students (8 boys and 4 girls) in the second semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The findings indicate significant improvements: teacher activity scores increased to a very good level of 32, student engagement achieved an active participation rate of 100%, collaboration skills were highly proficient at 100%, and student learning outcomes improved by 100%. Consequently, it can be concluded that employing the BISA learning model enhances teacher and student engagement, collaboration skills, and learning outcomes. These findings offer a viable option for selecting and implementing effective learning models, particularly in the context of social studies education.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of problems in the field, namely activity, creativity and student learning outcomes with low PPKn content. The research aims to provide a description of the activities of teachers, students and their creativity, as well as improving learning outcomes. The researcher used a qualitative approach with a type of classroom action research conducted in 4 meetings. Researchers selected 18 class V students at SDN Antasan Besar 1 Banjarmasin in the 2023/2024 academic year. There are two types of data collected, namely qualitative in the form of observations of teacher and student activities, while quantitative data is obtained from creativity tests and learning outcomes in the form of individual and group tests. The results of the research showed that at meeting 1 the teacher achieved 63% of the "good" criteria, improving to meeting 4 reaching 88% of the "very good" criteria. Student activity at meeting 1 was only 50% within the "quite active" criteria, improving at meeting 4 reaching 89% to the "very active" criteria. Student creativity at meeting 1 received 44% of the "quite creative" criteria, while at meeting 4 it reached 89% of the "very creative" criteria. Likewise, the learning results at meeting 1 were classically 50% of students completed and improved at meeting 4 reaching 89% of students who completed.

Abstract

This research discusses the problem of low student activity and learning outcomes due to less effective learning methods and less interesting learning. To overcome this problem, improvements were made using the PRESTASI model. This research aims to describe teacher activities, analyze increase in student activity and student learning outcomes. This research used the Classroom Action Research method with the research subjects being 23 students of class IV SDS Muhammadiyah Selat. This research uses qualitative data and quantitative data. Qualitative data was obtained by observing teacher and student activities, while quantitative data in the form of classical percentages of student activities and student learning outcomes were obtained from group and individual tests. The results of this research show that teacher activity at meeting IV met the "Very Good" criteria. Student activity at meeting IV reached 96% with the criteria "Almost All Students Are Very Active". And learning outcomes in affective, cognitive and psychomotor aspects at meeting IV reached 100%. The conclusion is that the PRESTASI model can be used to increase teacher activity, student activity and student learning outcomes. This research is recommended for school principals, teachers and other researchers in using learning models that can increase student activity and learning outcomes.
