Abstract

This study aims to explain the application of the problem based learning model in developing environmentally conscious characters in fifth grade elementary school students. The method applied in this study is descriptive qualitative which allows researchers to gain insight into social phenomena that arise during the learning process. Data collection and processing are carried out through observation, interviews, and open questionnaires. The research findings indicate that the PBL model plays a role in increasing student participation in the learning process and building environmentally conscious characters through real activities such as maintaining cleanliness, saving energy, waste management and participating in preserving the environment. The application of PBL encourages students to think critically, work together, and put forward creative solutions to environmental problems. Thus, the use of the PBL approach has proven effective as a method for instilling environmentally conscious characters since the elementary education stage.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the numeracy skills of children aged 5–6 years at PAUD Tunas Muda IKKT, Jatimakmur, Bekasi City through the use of abacus media. The research employed classroom action research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects were 20 children in group B. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with indicators including number recognition, object counting, matching numerical symbols, as well as performing simple addition and subtraction. The results showed a significant improvement in children’s numeracy skills. In the pre-cycle, the average achievement was 46.15%; it increased to 59.23% at the end of cycle I; and reached 83.07% at the end of cycle II. Thus, the abacus proved effective in improving early childhood numeracy skills. The study recommends that PAUD teachers utilize abacus media creatively and variably in teaching early mathematics.

Abstract

The growth and development of young children are significantly influenced by their nutritional intake. Parents play an essential role in ensuring children receive sufficient nutrition for optimal development. Meeting these nutritional needs can be achieved by providing healthy, varied, nutritious, balanced, and safe foods. This study focuses on analyzing democratic parenting patterns toward the eating choices of 4-year-old children at Tadika Puri Kindergarten Pondok Gede. The study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach, using observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal two dominant parenting styles: democratic and permissive. Democratic parenting encourages independence in food choices while maintaining parental guidance and boundaries, whereas permissive parenting tends to grant freedom with minimal control. Both approaches significantly influence the eating preferences and habits of 4-year-old children at Tadika Puri Kindergarten Pondok Gede.

Abstract

The low enthusiasm and engagement of students must be improved to achieve the objectives of classical guidance. Positive indicators of enthusiasm and engagement include the willingness to ask questions, express opinions, show excitement during class interactions, and complete tasks effectively. This research aimed to enhance students' enthusiasm and engagement through a game-based learning strategy. The study utilized an experimental type of counseling action research, involving 32 students from class IX-C. Data collection techniques included observation, self-evaluation questionnaires, and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively. Results indicated a 20,84% increase in student enthusiasm and engagement, rising from an initial 63,54%. This improvement reflects the cumulative outcomes from pre-cycle to cycles I and II. Thus, it can be concluded that the game-based learning strategy effectively enhances students' enthusiasm and engagement in classical guidance.

Abstract

Assertive behavior is the ability to be assertive, refuse without offending the feelings of others and build friendships with others, the environment and the surrounding community. Observations conducted in class X at SMA Ngeri 7 Kediri showed that there were several students who had low / sufficient assertive behavior. This study aims to improve the assertive behavior of students with role playing techniques through group guidance services. The research was conducted in two cycles with a total of three meetings, starting from pre-cycle, followed by cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of 4 stages; planning, implementation, observation, reflection. The research subjects were 7 students of class X-8. The method of this research is descriptive and comparative analysis to compare data before and after action during the implementation of each cycle. The results showed an increase in students' assertive behavior with 32% in the pre-cycle, increasing to 46% in cycle I then continued in cycle II increasing to 62%, these results show that role playing is able to increase the assertive behavior of students.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning motivation of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Kediri through the application of the brainstorming method in classical guidance. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, focusing on students’ participation, confidence in expressing opinions, and group collaboration. The results showed an increase in learning motivation, indicated by more active involvement in discussions, greater willingness to share ideas, and improved teamwork. Allowing students to choose their own groups in the second cycle also proved effective. Thus, brainstorming through classical guidance is proven to enhance students’ learning motivation.

Abstract

Collaboration is an essential skill for students, especially in completing group tasks. Observations in class VII D at SMPN 4 Kediri revealed a lack of collaborative attitude, participation, and communication among students during discussions. This study aims to enhance students' collaborative attitudes in the learning process, particularly when working on group assignments. The activities were conducted through classical guidance services utilizing collaborative LKPD media. The research was carried out in two cycles with a total of three meetings, starting from the pre-cycle, followed by cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were 32 students from class VII D. The results showed a significant improvement in collaborative attitudes, with an average of 36% in the pre-cycle, increasing to 41% in cycle I, and reaching 51% in cycle II. This indicates the effectiveness of collaborative LKPD in enhancing student cooperation.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' activeness and responsibility in the guidance and counseling service process. Initial observations in class IX A of SMP Negeri 4 Kediri showed a serious problem where students tended to be passive and less responsible for the tasks given during the service. To overcome this, the guidance and counseling service in this class was designed innovatively using the Project Based Learning learning model. This approach was chosen because it is able to encourage students to play an active role in completing real projects, so that it can indirectly foster a sense of responsibility. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, with a total of three meetings starting from pre-cycle activities followed by cycles 1 and 2. The results of the study showed a significant increase in activeness and responsibility with an average of 50% in the pre-cycle, then 62% in cycle 1 and 74% in cycle 2. This demonstrates the effectiveness of Project Based Learning in improving student activeness and responsibility at SMP Negeri 4 Kediri.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' self-regulation skills through classical guidance services using simulation game techniques. The method employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles with students from class XI-1. The results showed a gradual improvement in self-regulation skills, as indicated by an increase in observation scores from 41.6% in the pre-cycle, which decreased to 38.7% in cycle I, then significantly increased to 56.8% in cycle II, and reached 68.2% in cycle III. The decline in cycle I was caused by students' low ability to manage emotions, lack of self-confidence, and difficulty accepting others' successes. Through modifications in service strategies and reinforcement in cycles II and III, students showed positive development in self-control, personal initiative, and satisfaction with individual and group work outcomes. Factors supporting this improvement include a conducive learning environment, enjoyable game strategies, and a reflective approach that encourages self-awareness. Therefore, simulation game techniques prove to be an effective approach in classical guidance services to develop students' self-regulation skills in a gradual and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Peserta didik jenjang kelas VII merupakan individu yang berada pada fase remaja awal dan mengalami transisi dengan segala perubahannya yang disebut dengan pubertas. Pubertas membuat remaja mengalami perubahan yang signifikan dalam dirinya yaitu mulai matangnya organ reproduksi yang diikuti perubahan-perubahan fisik dan psikologis dalam diri mereka. Oleh karena itu, perlu bagi peserta didik jenjang kelas VII perlu memahami perubahan yang terjadi padanya dan cara menjaga kesehatan organ reproduksi mereka. Namun berdasarkan hasil asesmen masih terdapat peserta di kelas VII-G yang memiliki pemahaman yang kurang tentang pubertas dan kesehatan reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman tersebut melalui intervensi bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik diskusi. Penelitian tindakan bimbingan dan konseling (PTBK) ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII-G SMPN 4 Kediri. Setiap siklus meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada saat pre-test pemahaman tentang pubertas dan Kesehatan reproduksi tertinggi hanya sebesar 87% dan terendah 27%. Setelah dilakukan siklus I maupun II pemahaman ini meningkat dengan skor tertinggi 100% dan terendah 80%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik diskusi efektif dalam memberikan pemahaman yang lebih baik kepada peserta didik mengenai topik pubertas dan kesehatan reproduksi.
