Abstract

Kapu Village, Merakurak District, is one of the highest agricultural producing areas and also has a high volume of local organic waste, such as palm fruit peels, coconut shells, and corn stalks, which are not yet optimally utilized. Pertamina Patra Niaga Fuel Terminal Tuban is present to provide a solution to this problem through the Kang Ebit (Eco-Briquette Village) Program. The purpose of this study was to examine the improvement in the social welfare of vulnerable groups through the empowerment efforts of the Kang Ebit Program implemented by Pertamina Patra Niaga Fuel Terminal Tuban. This research method used a qualitative approach, with informants from the community involved in the empowerment activities: 12 individuals from vulnerable groups in Kapu Village, who act as key actors in production and business management. The findings indicate that the Kang Ebit Program, involving these vulnerable groups, has created jobs, reduced regional unemployment, encouraged skills development, the growth of environmentally-based local entrepreneurs, and strengthened collective awareness of the importance of sustainable waste management. The implementation of the Kang Ebit Program has begun to show tangible impacts on the social, economic, and environmental aspects at the village level.

Abstract

The world of film initially developed from the personal perspective of its makers. The process of filmmaking, assessing film aspects, and evaluating a film are often carried out subjectively, depending on the experience and perception of each individual. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of socialization of the use of statistics in film evaluation to filmmakers of the Jambi Film Forum (FFJ). This research method uses a quantitative approach. This activity was carried out by distributing a questionnaire containing 15 Likert-scale questions to assess participants' perceptions after the socialization. The collected data were analyzed for reliability using Cronbach's Alpha, which showed a value of 0.795, thus declaring the instrument reliable. Next, the effectiveness of the socialization was tested using the Bayesian Paired Samples T-Test, which produced a Bayes Factor value of 2.018 × 10⁷ with an error rate close to zero. The results of the study indicate very strong evidence to accept the alternative hypothesis that filmmakers' perceptions improved significantly after the socialization. With an average score of 58.7, the majority of respondents agreed with the importance of applying statistics in film evaluation. These findings confirm that the outreach program was effective and had a positive impact on participant acceptance. They also demonstrate that the Bayesian approach can be an appropriate analytical method for evaluating the success of similar activities in the social and educational fields.

Abstract

Optimal time and cost management are fundamental factors in ensuring the success of construction projects. One effective approach to address the risk of delays and cost overruns is the Time Cost Trade-Off (TCTO) method, which allows for project duration compression through resource adjustment and cost control. This study aims to analyze and compare two acceleration scenarios for the construction of the Police Service Building in Bungo Regency: additional working hours (overtime) and additional labor. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach through a case study. The Critical Path Method (CPM) is applied to identify the critical path as the basis for implementing the TCTO strategy. The results of this study indicate that both scenarios can accelerate the project duration from 214 days to 130 days, with a time efficiency of 39.25%. The overtime scenario provides a cost efficiency of 0.38%, while additional labor results in an efficiency of 0.16%. Although overtime is more economical in nominal terms, the additional labor strategy is considered more stable and feasible to implement in public projects with sufficient work space. The results of this study contribute to strategic decision-making in data-driven construction project management.

Abstract

Public sector organizations are currently often considered by the public as less than optimal, less productive, low quality of performance, and a source of waste of funds. The purpose of the research is to find out and measure financial performance using the Value for money method at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2023. This study uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive methods (Mixed Research), with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data obtained is systematically analyzed to understand the extent to which the principle of Value for money is applied in the budget management of the electricity management program. The results of the study show that the Economic Ratio of the Electricity Management Program at the Energy and Mineral Resources Office of East Nusa Tenggara Province in 2023 is relatively economical, with a ratio achievement of 124%, which reflects economical budget management and in accordance with the principle of value for money. However, the efficiency ratio shows that most of the activities in the program are still classified as inefficient, with many activities having an efficiency achievement of 0%, indicating that the use of the budget is not optimal in producing the expected output.

Abstract

The Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) is a government facility in the form of funds offered to low-income communities. Its development strength lies in building housing through the initiative and hard work of the community, both individually and collectively, including repairs, restoration, and construction of new homes and the environment. This study aims to determine the implementation of the Housing Stimulant Assistance Program policy in providing adequate housing in Munggut Village, Padas District, Ngawi Regency. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analysis techniques using the concept of Miles Humberman. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Housing Stimulant Assistance Program policy in providing adequate housing in Munggut Village, Padas District, Ngawi Regency is not optimal. This includes a lack of participation and awareness, as well as a lack of knowledge about the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program. In addition, in the development stage, which should be carried out through mutual cooperation with predetermined groups, in reality it is still carried out individually. The researcher also observed that the implementers of this program lack firmness because they still allow the community to work individually and are apathetic towards it.
