Abstract

A Review of Sharia Economic Law on the Fish Pricing Mechanism between Fishermen and Suppliers at the Independent Tuna Fishermen's Cooperative in Jikotamo Village. This study aims to analyze the fish pricing mechanism between fishermen and suppliers in Jikotamo Village and review these practices from the perspective of Sharia economic law. The research method uses a qualitative approach with a focus on the Independent Tuna Fishermen's Cooperative in Jikotamo Village, South Halmahera Regency. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and field observations, then analyzed using Sharia economic principles related to justice, transparency, and the prohibition of riba and gharar practices. The results show that the market structure is uncompetitive with dominant suppliers determining prices unilaterally. This imbalance results in a disproportionate distribution of added value, with fishermen receiving a relatively small share of the total added value. From the perspective of Sharia economic law, the fisheries supply chain has met the requirements for transaction validity (sahih) in muamalah fiqh, but needs improvement in information transparency, fair distribution of profits, and resource efficiency. The study recommends implementing a transparent pricing information system, strengthening the capacity of fishing cooperatives, subsidizing production inputs, and establishing direct partnerships with companies.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there has been no study on the analysis of lexical meaning and the process of foreign word absorption in the book "Obat Dungu Resep Akal Sehat: Filsafat untuk Republik Kuat" by Rocky Gerung. In addition, this study contributes to education by helping society understand the meaning of terms considered complex and assisting readers in comprehending the use of terms in their intended context. This research employs a qualitative method with data collection techniques including thoroughly reading the book, inventorying data, and classifying it according to the relevant theory. The analysis is carried out by categorizing loanwords into adoption, adaptation, translation, or creation, and explaining their lexical meanings. The findings indicate that there are three loanwords through adoption (forum, formal, gender), three words through adaptation (konsensus, konstituen, koheren), three terms through translation (Kampanye Hitam, Politik Relawan, Undang-Undang Khusus), and three terms created by Rocky Gerung (konstanta-konstanta sosio-kultural, post-praetorian, surplus arogansi). These findings highlight the combination of foreign language influence and creativity in enriching the Indonesian vocabulary.

Abstract

The increasing global influence of China and its economic rise have made Mandarin Chinese a valuable skill for international communication and job opportunities, especially in countries like Indonesia that maintain close economic ties with China. The research aims to understand the dominant types of motivation and to identify common obstacles students encounter in acquiring the language. A mixed-method approach was used, combining quantitative descriptive methods through questionnaires distributed to 69 first- and second-year students, and qualitative methods through interviews with 10 students. The findings reveal that most students are instrumentally motivated, driven by the desire for better employment prospects and educational advancement, rather than integrative factors such as cultural interest or native-like fluency. Major learning difficulties include pronunciation (particularly tones and retroflex consonants), grammar, and the memorization and writing of Chinese characters (hanzi), largely due to interference from the Indonesian language and limited exposure to Mandarin in their environment. Despite these challenges, students exhibit a generally positive learning attitude, especially in classroom participation. This study concludes that greater support in pronunciation, grammar instruction, and character acquisition is necessary, and suggests that future research explore broader contexts and more advanced student groups.

Abstract

Understanding hadith remains a challenge for many students due to traditional teaching methods that emphasize memorization rather than meaningful interpretation, creating a gap between textual knowledge and real-life application. This study aims to explore how the contextual learning approach can enhance students’ comprehension of hadith by connecting prophetic teachings with authentic experiences in Islamic Education classrooms. Using a qualitative research design, data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis from teachers and students who engaged in contextual learning activities. The findings reveal that contextual strategies such as real-life scenarios, inquiry-based tasks, reflective discussions, and authentic assessments—significantly improved students’ interpretive understanding, motivation, and moral awareness. Students demonstrated the ability to relate hadith messages to everyday situations, while teachers observed deeper engagement and more meaningful learning outcomes. The study concludes that contextual learning offers an effective pedagogical model for strengthening cognitive and affective aspects of hadith comprehension. Its contribution lies in providing empirical evidence that supports shifting Islamic Education from text-centered instruction toward more experience-based, reflective, and student-centered approaches. This research also highlights the need for teacher training to support the implementation of contextual pedagogy and suggests broader application in diverse educational settings.
