Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan nomor ISSN 2775-0094 (online) adalah jurnal multidisiplin ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Perkumpulan Kualitama Edukatika Indonesia. Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat merupakan jurnal nasional yang memiliki fokus utama pada pengembangan ilmu-ilmu di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Lingkup bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat antara lain meliputi pelatihan, pemasaran, keamanan pangan lokal, Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG), desain, pemberdayaan masyarakat, akses sosial, daerah perbatasan, daerah kurang berkembang, dan pendidikan untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berisi berbagai kegiatan penanganan dan pengelolaan berbagai potensi, kendala, tantangan, dan masalah yang ada di masyarakat. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian juga melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dan mitra. Kegiatan pengabdian tersebut disusun dalam suatu kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Tujuan dari publikasi jurnal ini adalah untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran konseptual atau ide-ide yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Pelita: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat terbit empat kali dalam satu tahun yaitu pada bulan Januari, April, Juli, dan Oktober.

Abstract

Optimizing interactive learning through the integration of digital technology, particularly the use of the Wordwall platform, is crucial in 21st-century education. However, many teachers at SMPN 1 Singorojo, Kendal Regency, have not yet maximized their potential. This Community Service Program aims to empower teachers through training in the use of Wordwall to optimize interactive learning. A total of 28 teachers from various subjects participated in an 8-hour training session consisting of theoretical and practical components, followed by an evaluation. The theoretical session on interactive learning and the Wordwall platform showed that at least 80% of participants reached the understanding to very understanding category. In the practical session, 80% of teachers successfully created at least one interactive media using Wordwall features such as Group Sort, Quiz, and Spin the Wheel. These results indicate that this training effectively impacted teacher independence in optimizing interactive learning using the Wordwall platform at SMPN 1 Singorojo, Kendal Regency.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the 21st century has had a significant impact on education, including the emergence of moral degradation, increasing individualism, and instant-living tendencies among students. These conditions contribute to academic pressure and psychosocial problems, requiring more comprehensive guidance and counseling services. The implementation of deep learning within the Merdeka Curriculum serves as a strategic approach to strengthening students’ character and resilience; however, its application remains limited because many counseling teachers have not yet fully developed adequate emotional regulation and social awareness skills. The integration of elaborative mindfulness strategies into deep-learning–based counseling services offers a promising solution by emphasizing non-judgmental awareness, enabling counselors to be fully present, empathetic, and able to create a conducive counseling atmosphere. This community engagement program aims to enhance the understanding and skills of counseling teachers in integrating both approaches. A total of 71 counseling teachers participated in the program. The method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) conducted over two weeks, consisting of five stages: (1) Diagnosing, identifying key partner issues such as difficulties in analyzing the needs of Generation Z and Alpha students and the lack of understanding of deep learning; (2) Action Planning, designing interventions through seminars, lectures, demonstrations, and online mentoring; (3) Action Taking, conducting training sessions with expert speakers; (4) Evaluating, assessing the impact of the interventions through open-ended questionnaires; and (5) Specifying Learning, documenting insights gained from both the successes and challenges of the implementation process. The results show an increase in teachers’ understanding from a score of 22.02 to 27.65. These findings highlight that strengthening the competencies of counseling teachers through contextual and collaborative approaches effectively supports the integration of deep learning and mindfulness in guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

This community service program was conducted to address the communication challenges faced by the partner community in Dukuh Tanggung, Cepoko Village, Ponorogo, which lacked effective media for information dissemination. The program aimed to design and implement a microcontroller-based running text information system to improve the distribution of social, health, and administrative information. The methods included needs assessment, hardware and software design, system installation at a strategic public location, and training and mentoring for community leaders and youth organization members. The results indicated that the running text system significantly improved access to information, with 80% of residents reporting that the system was highly helpful, and 90% of local operators successfully managing the system independently. The integration of the running text display with a 1.5 × 1 meter banner space also enhanced flexibility in delivering both tactical and long-term messages. This program effectively transferred appropriate technology, strengthened community digital capacity, and improved public communication within Dukuh Tanggung. These outcomes suggest strong potential for future development, including web-based integration and broader digital communication innovations for rural communities.

Abstract

The objectives of the Community Service program are to impart knowledge and skills in creating digital-based serbaneka media, and to enhance the creativity dimension in the Merdeka curriculum at the primary school level in Surakarta City. The program employs three methods: a) problem approach, b) activity planning, and c) output preparation. The target participants are elementary school teachers partnered with FKIP Slamet Riyadi University. This program assumes significance as it endeavors to provide practicality and efficacy in implementing the creative dimension through digital-based serbaneka media. Additionally, it aims to explore the potential and effective utilization of serbaneka media in teaching the Merdeka curriculum. This training offers a possible solution to teachers' concerns about time constraints. In fact, an analysis of the program's activities revealed that over 75% of the teachers reported experiencing the benefits of implementing these activities. It is recommended to consider the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the development of learning media for fostering the creativity dimension among elementary school students.

Abstract

In this era of the 5.0 industrial revolution and the rapid advancement of information technology, today's students are a digital generation accustomed to visual and interactive stimulation. Traditional teaching methods that rely solely on lectures are no longer adequate to foster student interest, both at the elementary and secondary levels. The purpose of this community service is to introduce the existence of Artificial Intelligence and assist teachers in utilizing Artificial Intelligence in creating learning media in the classroom. The method used is an interactive workshop method that focuses on direct practice in addition to providing material and emphasizing the sustainability of this activity. The results of this activity are 80% of participants from teachers in the Piere Tendean Cluster in Kendal Regency are able to create learning media based on Artificial Intelligence. Based on what happened during the workshop and the quite positive results, it can be concluded that similar activities can be repeated in other Clusters with a wider variety of Artificial Intelligence-based learning media.

Abstract

Public services at the village level represent the frontline of administrative service delivery to the community. However, several problems were identified in Kelurahan Jatimulya, including inconsistent service procedures, limited understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) among village officials, and weak SOP management in public service delivery. These issues affected service effectiveness and community satisfaction. This community service program aimed to strengthen public service SOP management through structured assistance, socialization, and implementation of standardized procedures. The methods applied included initial service condition analysis, evaluation of existing SOPs, development and refinement of SOP documents, training for village officials, as well as monitoring and evaluation of SOP implementation. The results indicated an improvement in officials’ understanding of SOP functions and importance, the availability of more systematic and applicable public service SOP documents, and better service flow clarity and consistency. Strengthening SOP management positively impacted public service quality and provided a foundation for more effective, transparent, and sustainable service delivery at Kelurahan Jatimulya.

Abstract

Deep Learning is an instructional approach that promotes comprehensive understanding and the ability to connect learning materials with real-life contexts. This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to provide theoretical and practical training, along with mentoring, for teachers of KKMA 02 Jepara Regency on implementing a deep learning approach supported by AI-based media. The program sought to enhance teachers’ theoretical understanding and practical skills in integrating AI tools, particularly ChatGPT and Wayground, into lesson planning and classroom practices. The workshop was conducted collaboratively using an andragogical approach. Training methods included lectures and discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, with a composition of 25% theory and 75% practice. The program was held at Ono Joglo Resto, Jepara Regency. The activities focused on strengthening teachers’ cognitive competence in applying deep learning strategies, utilizing ChatGPT to support instruction, and employing Wayground for assessment and reflective learning. Following the workshop, participants were assigned to design lesson plans based on the deep learning approach integrated with AI-based media. The teachers demonstrated strong enthusiasm and reported that the training significantly supported and enriched their teaching practices through AI-assisted deep learning implementation.

Abstract

Power supply reliability is a critical factor in the hatchery industry, as egg incubator machines require continuous and stable electrical energy to maintain optimal temperature and humidity conditions throughout the incubation period. In many rural areas, including Jatijejer Village, Mojokerto, East Java, Indonesia, frequent power outages from the main electricity grid often disrupt incubator operation, causing temperature fluctuations that can reduce hatchability rates and negatively affect poultry productivity. These conditions highlight the need for a reliable backup energy solution to ensure uninterrupted incubation processes. To address this challenge, this study implements a small-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system as a backup power supply for a semi-automatic egg incubator installed in Desa Jatijejer, Mojokerto. The proposed backup energy system consists of a 20 Wp solar panel, a 10 A solar charge controller, and a 12 V 12 Ah battery as the primary energy storage unit. With an available energy capacity of approximately 144 Wh, the battery is capable of supplying power to a low-consumption egg incubator during temporary grid outages. This capability is particularly important during critical stages of embryonic development, where stable temperature conditions are essential to ensure successful hatching. The PV–battery configuration is designed to function as an emergency backup system rather than a long-term replacement for the main grid, thereby maintaining incubation continuity during short-duration electrical disturbances. In addition to technical implementation, this study evaluates partner perceptions through a satisfaction survey involving 20 respondents from the local poultry farming community. The survey results indicate a high level of satisfaction with the implemented system, reflected by an overall mean score of 4.37 out of 5. The suitability of the technology achieved a mean score of 4.30, while system performance obtained a mean score of 4.35. Ease of operation and maintenance recorded a mean score of 4.25, suggesting good usability with potential for minor improvement. The highest satisfaction scores were observed for service team responsiveness and overall satisfaction, both reaching 4.45, while training clarity achieved a mean score of 4.40. Overall, the findings confirm that the solar PV backup system enhances incubator reliability and supports sustainable poultry production in rural areas with unstable electricity supply.

Abstract

Deep Learning is recommended by the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education for implementation in the learning process at schools. This community service activity aimed to provide information and guidance on the implementation of Deep Learning to junior high school mathematics teachers at the Lumajang Mathematics Teachers’ Working Group (MGMP). The activity was conducted on 9 October 2025 with 52 mathematics teachers at the Lumajang Junior High School Mathematics Teachers’ Working Group (MGMP). The methods used included information sharing, discussion, teaching practice, observation, and the distribution of questionnaires. The results of the activity were very positive, with all participants understanding the three main principles of Deep Learning, namely (1) Mindful Learning, (2) Meaningful Learning, and (3) Joyful Learning. Each group of teachers produced a lesson plan for a mathematics lesson in Junior High School. From the results of teaching demo in the classroom, some of participants were found to be able to apply the Deep Learning approach effectively. This was evident from (1) teachers explaining the material using video that captured the students’ interest, (2) teachers applying the three main principles of Deep Learning effectively, (3) students actively participating in group discussions and presenting the results of these discussions in front of the class, and (4) students understanding the material well. The questionnaire results showed that all teachers stated that such mentoring activities need to be continued in order to enhance teachers’ professionalism.

Abstract

SMK Islamic Center Baiturrahman Semarang has implemented a Moodle-based Subject Information System (SIMPEL) integrated with the internet network to support the learning process. However, teachers' utilization of information and communication technology in developing digital learning media remains suboptimal. Most teachers still rely on printed textbooks and lecture-based teaching methods, resulting in monotonous learning experiences that are less engaging for students. In addition, science comics as instructional media are still produced manually, requiring considerable costs, time, and effort. To address these issues, a Community Partnership Program was conducted in the form of training on the development of web-based science comic learning media for teachers at SMK Islamic Center Baiturrahman Semarang. The training aimed to enhance teachers' competencies in developing creative, innovative, and accessible digital learning media. The activities included providing materials on the concept of digital science comics, hands-on practice in designing science comics using the Canva application, developing learning websites through Google Sites, and integrating the resulting media into the Moodle-based SIMPEL. Through this training, teachers are expected to be able to independently design and develop web-based science comics to support more engaging and interactive learning delivery. The use of digital media can also reduce dependence on printed materials, making the learning process more efficient in terms of cost, time, and effort. In addition to improving teachers' digital competencies, the developed media can be easily accessed by both teachers and students through the internet. Therefore, this program is expected to promote more effective, innovative, and technology-oriented learning practices in accordance with the demands of the digital era.
