Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Indonesian government took steps to impose restrictions on community activities that had an impact on the education sector. This has led to the re-implementation of learning activities from home which still need to be more effective. On the other hand, the difficulty in understanding learning material and the emergence of laziness in students to read the textbooks provided are problems that must be addressed immediately. One of the learning media that can be used to support learning activities at home is a learning module. Based on the results of previous research, this module is effectively used in learning in class IV SD Negeri 1 Sindangkasih. In the next stage, the module is used as material for a strengthening program for learning at home. The dedication method is strengthening the implementation of learning at home with the use of digital modules by parents of students. The results of the learning reinforcement program with digital modules are very effective for parents of students. Parents think using digital modules in learning at home is more structured and can clarify learning objectives at home. In addition to using digital modules, collaboration between teachers and parents is also a factor that needs attention to support the effectiveness of student learning activities at home.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the low literacy level of elementary school students that occurs at UPTD SDN 3 Kerticala has an impact on students' common writing and reading skills. One alternative way that can be done to improve literacy skills in students, especially writing skills, is with a journaling training program. The type of research the author uses is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subject of implementing this journaling program is class IV with 9 students. The procedure used in this study is the action class, which consists of 4 stages: (1) planning, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observance or observation, and (4) reflection. There were still deficiencies in the research conducted, as this research was not very in-depth and only carried out once. Hence, the results could have been more optimal, and there were no significant results from implementing programs designed to improve students' literacy skills at UPTD SDN 3 Kerticala. This limitation is expected to be a reference for improvement and further program development.

Abstract

Self-Confidence is an attitude in every individual who feels confident in his ability to act and is not easily influenced by others. People with self-confidence are optimistic, able to make their own decisions, and desire to achieve more. This program aimed to determine how to increase students' self-confidence through Mask Dance training at UPTD SD Negeri 2 Cantigi Kulon because self-confidence is a character value that students must have, especially in dancing. Data was collected using class action research, observation, and documentation methods. The students' confidence can be seen when students do not feel embarrassed when dancing in front of a crowd. This program aims to train children's mentality through Mask Dance activities for students in grades three to five. This program describes that students' self-confidence increases through memorizing dance moves and giving encouragement or motivation from the coach.

Abstract

KKN is one of the community service activities and implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Thematic KKN (KKNT) carried out by the Indonesian Education University carries the theme Si Penting (Mahasiswa Peduli Stunting). This problem is in line with the World Health Organization (WHO) priority to reduce stunting globally. Stunting is a growth obstacle resulting from a lack of nutritional intake in children. To prevent children from experiencing stunting problems, they need to get used to healthy living. The approach taken is through poster educational media to strengthen the material implemented at SD Negeri Citapen Tasikmalaya City, so that the entire school community receives information related to balanced nutrition. The steps in the KKNT program start from the preparation stage to the activity implementation stage. Posters are considered to be an appropriate medium because they contain interesting images and symbols so that information is more easily conveyed. It is hoped that the poster educational media creation program will have the opportunity to become a media for literacy and familiarization regarding the importance of consuming balanced nutrition through guidelines on the contents of my plate, drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day, washing hands properly and correctly using the 6 steps from the Ministry of Health, and diligently exercising for at least 30 minutes a day.

Abstract

A new learning method is needed to increase participants' interest in numeracy students in the UPTD SD Negeri 3 Kerticala. More than learning methods commonly used in class is required to foster student interest and enthusiasm. This research aims to use simple learning media in tutoring. This research was conducted on 33 grades 3-5 students at UPTD SD Negeri 3 Kerticala. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study, and students received simple learning media through a direct-action process. This study had limitations: it was conducted only a few times in each class and had no evaluation phase, but the results were interesting. This study found that using simple learning media increased students' interest in learning, especially in learning numeracy. This research also shows that exciting and different learning media can positively influence learning interest. Students also show increased enthusiasm, interest, and motivation to learn after using the learning media.

Abstract

Maternal and child mortality has increased due to stunting, triggered by the unbalanced nutritional intake of food consumed. 1000 HPK is essential for food needs, such as consuming vegetables, fruit, protein, carbohydrates, and fats. The method used to overcome this problem is counseling on nutritious intake to avoid the dangers of stunting for children. The results of the service activities are known that children in some areas of Margaasih Village already know and are aware of nutritious food intake. Nutritious food intake needs to be consumed every day by children to avoid stunting problems that cause them to have low IQ and developmental disorders until they grow up. However, the counseling activities we do through the method of coloring pictures of the contents of my plate need to be complemented with natural vegetables or fruits so that children better understand the images we provide. This counseling is expected to instill good habits for children to consume food with balanced nutrition.

Abstract

In Indonesia, there is an Independent Campus Learning Curriculum (MBKM) which aims to produce graduates who are competent in various fields of knowledge and skills. The Teaching Campus Program is in the context of education in remote areas that lack supporting facilities and significant educational disparities. Reading, writing, and arithmetic (Calistung) skills are essential to education. However, at the UPTD SD NEGERI 2 Cantigi Kulon, this is a problem because students' Calistung skills could be higher based on observations and interviews with the school. To overcome this problem, the student team in the Teaching Campus program carried out mentoring and training activities as a concrete step in overcoming students' difficulties in reading, writing, and arithmetic abilities, as well as helping students and teachers in the learning process to improve Calistung abilities as the basis of literacy and numeracy. This service uses mentoring and training methods. As a result of this activity, students experienced increased reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. With a directed approach and the proper support, students can overcome obstacles in Calistung and achieve better academic achievement.

Abstract

Garut Regency is a religious area with good Human Resources (HR) potential, including many religious instructors, religious teachers, cultural figures, and artists. They became community figures who were influential enough to move the wheels of development in Garut society with a spiritual, arts, and cultural approach. However, their current existence has not been able to motivate people to improve their quality of life. The root of the problem is misperceptions among community leaders, especially religious counselors, religious teachers, artists, and cultural figures. They view that religious education or Islamic da'wah and the development of arts and culture are two different things and even tend to be contradictory. A qualitative research approach using descriptive analysis methods from field studies by synergizing and discussing with religious, arts, and cultural figures, then conducting workshops, preparing and disseminating model drafts in the form of limited training as a trial of the cultural approach to religious education model for religious instructors, Ustadz, Artists and Cultural People in Garut Regency. This activity aims to equalize perceptions about Islam and arts and culture and to create good synergy between religion, arts, and culture. This community service produces new ideas and models of religious education with an arts and culture approach that elevates and socializes local wisdom.

Abstract

A pleasant situation in the learning process is one of the things that must be considered in the implementation of the learning process, including in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The implementation of Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN 2 Cantigi Kulon has been running smoothly but is still experiencing deficiencies in terms of student involvement. Therefore, efforts need to be made by teachers to increase student involvement. One effort that can be made is to use the game-based learning method, or game-based learning carried out through the smart snakes and ladders game, so that students are more enthusiastic and active in participating in the learning process. This article aims to describe the form of reinforcement carried out in Islamic Religious Education subjects wrapped in educational games using Islamic smart snakes and ladders games. This game involves cognitive and psychomotor skills that go hand in hand with concentration and questions about Islamic Religious Education learning materials. Students are asked to participate in the game of snakes and ladders and answer questions given by the teacher based on the flow of the game. Efforts to strengthen the subject of Islamic Religious Education with the game-based learning method using Islamic smart snakes and ladders are proven to be able to create a happy atmosphere for students, so that they are enthusiastic about participating in the learning process actively and responsively.

Abstract

The technological age dragged other fields to use technology, including video games. As a result, video games are increasingly popular with school children, especially elementary school children. Even though teachers are the front line to divert children's attention from playing games to learning animations, the teacher working group of Rayon 18 South Sulawesi has limitations in making interesting videos even though they have carried out several activities. Therefore, empowering teachers is a solution to apply research results by participating in training to make learning animation videos using the assessment as a learning approach. The activity was attended by 35 elementary school teachers from the rayon for one day with three sessions. The direction of the line of training participants' understanding ability increases where the post-test score is higher than the pre-test. The correlation between questions shows a consistent increase. Likewise, this increases teacher skills in installing applications, applying video applications to create videos, and increasing teacher skills in creating animated learning videos. Teachers feel satisfied receiving the benefits of taking part in training in making learning animation videos. Therefore, teachers can increase creativity by creating learning animation videos so students are more interested and focused on learning.
