Abstract

Based on the learning results of first grade students of SDS Ialam An-Nuriyah Jagakarsa South Jakarta, it shows that the results of learning Mathematics about addition and subtraction in long series are still below the specified KKM which is 70. Of the 25 students, only 8 students were able to reach the KKM, while 17 students were declared not to have reached the KKM score. In line with this, an improvement in learning Mathematics about addition and subtraction using the cooperative learning type jigsaw model was carried out. The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of IB grade students on long addition and subtraction. This research uses a class action research method that uses a cycle system consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the results of the study, in the pre-cycle students whose learning completeness was above KKM 70 were only 8 students or (36.0%) out of 25 students. In cycle 1 it increased to 14 students or (56.0%) out of 25 students. While in cycle 2 it increased to 24 students or (96.0%) of 25 students. This means that the class learning completeness has been achieved because it has exceeded the target of the predetermined success indicator of 80%. The conclusion is that using the jigsaw type cooperative learning model on long addition and subtraction material can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Instances of unwed pregnancy leading to teenage marriage are common throughout different areas. Recently, adultery has become more common in Indonesian society, particularly in the community of Kota Bambu Utara subdistrict. Teenagers in North Bambu City Village nowadays are therefore frequently involved in the problem of promiscuity, which leads to adultery, and as a result, many of them become unwed mothers who later get married while still pregnant. The purpose of this study is to find out what the religious and community leaders in Kota Bambu Utara Village, Palmerah District, think about underage marriage as a result of unwed pregnancies. This kind of research is qualitative in character and falls under the case study category. The key sources of data for this study were informants who provided primary sources. The primary sources of information for this study were religious and community leaders in Kota Bambu Utara Subdistrict. Researchers used documentation, interviews, and observation to gather data for their study. The study's findings indicate that, despite the marriage law's regulation of the legal age restriction for those seeking marriage, underage weddings resulting from unwed pregnancies typically happen between the ages of 15 and 17. A minor who does not meet the conditions for marriage must request a dispensation from the West Jakarta Religious Court in order for their marriage to proceed. A number of circumstances, such as the individual's behavior, influences from parents and family, a lack of education and religious understanding, and social elements in the area, can lead to underage marriage owing to unwed pregnancy.

Abstract

This article discusses the process of Islamization in Southeast Asia, theories based on historical evidence, and so on. Then how the characteristics of Islam in Southeast Asia, which of course, in terms of geography, culture, and the process of Islamization is, different from Islamization in other regions. The paper explains that Islamization in Southeast Asia was peaceful and wasatiyya brought by the preachers, Sufi, and Muslim merchants who traded in the strategic Southeast Asian region. Islam in Southeast Asia, especially in Indonesia, is an Islam that is attached to local culture and is slightly arabized so that the natives can well accept it at that time. Although many western scholars argue that Islam in Southeast Asia is peripheral Islam because of its characteristics that are not like pure Islam in the Middle East, their arguments are not based on concrete evidence, so they need to be questioned more deeply. Therefore, the paper will discuss Islam in Southeast Asia, including its history, characteristics, and distinctions, and how western scholars perceive Southeast Asian Islam as peripheral.

Abstract

The dynamics of the existence of Islamic political parties on the historical stage of democracy in Indonesia have experienced unstable political dynamics. This is inseparable from the plurality of Indonesian society which does not only contain Muslims but is diverse with a diversity of other religions. This dynamic can be seen in the track record of participation of Islamic political parties in general elections in Indonesia. The vote share of Islamic political parties, which has tended to decline since the reform era, is a matter of note and homework to be completed immediately. Many factors certainly contribute to the small number of Islamic political parties' votes. Party characteristics and ideology are at stake in society's assessment of the existence of Islamic political parties.

Abstract

Understanding the holy texts, such as the Quran, requires interpretation. As a means of communication between readers and texts, interpretation is tied to language and culture. To understand the Indonesian interpretation of the Quran, this paper proposes an ethnolinguistic approach. There are two important questions about the position of this approach in research on the interpretation of the Quran in Indonesia and the appropriate research design for this purpose. By using de-contextualization and re-contextualization techniques in library research and meta-analysis techniques, the author succeeded in formulating an ethnolinguistic approach that offers linguistic analysis of interpretation in its cultural context. This allows us to understand the nuances of meaning and the social implications of interpretation. Ethnolinguistic research can help identify cultural and ideological biases in interpretation that open up new interpretive possibilities. This paper discusses appropriate research designs for applying an ethnolinguistic approach to the interpretation of the Quran in Indonesia. Research designs must consider Indonesia’s diverse cultural and linguistic contexts, as well as appropriate data collection and analysis methods. Ethnolinguistic research on the interpretation of the Quran in Indonesia has the potential to make an important contribution to a better understanding of Islam in Indonesia, and its relationship to local culture and language.

Abstract

The buying and selling of breast milk (ASI) transactions are based on the ignorance of the society, especially mothers, regarding the prohibition of buying and selling breast milk. Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, as community organizations in Indonesia, have also discussed determining the law regarding the practice of donating and buying breast milk. Therefore, the aim of this research is to understand the mechanism of buying and selling breast milk and the perspectives of Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah figures on the law of buying and selling breast milk. This research is an empirical juridical study using a qualitative approach with a descriptive comparative method. The results of this study show that the practice of buying and selling breast milk is conducted through the social media platform Facebook. Buying and selling are done using a barter method based on the needs of the baby. According to Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, both bartering and cash transactions fall under the same law. Breast milk as an object essentially meets the requirements of a saleable object. However, there is an opinion that breast milk is equated with human organs, thus buying and selling breast milk is prohibited as per the law against selling organs. Nahdlatul Ulama believes that buying and selling breast milk is permissible, referring to the respected Shafi'i opinion that it is valid and permissible. However, if there are government regulations prohibiting the buying and selling of breast milk, the society must adhere to those regulations. Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah has not yet discussed the issue of buying and selling breast milk. The discussions conducted so far have only touched upon the permissibility of breast milk donation, which is done voluntarily.

Abstract

Jumu’ah, regarded as the pinnacle of the weekly Islamic worship, mandates ritual purification, donning immaculate attire, and congregating at the mosque for Friday Prayer. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated adaptations in religious practices, compelling Muslims to pivot towards virtual modes of worship in compliance with directives issued by governmental and health authorities aimed at mitigating the transmission of the coronavirus. The transition to virtual or online prayer has sparked considerable theological discourse and scrutiny in light of the pandemic's challenges. Consequently, this research aims to rigorously examine the doctrinal perspectives on virtual Friday prayer. Employing a comprehensive qualitative methodology, this study undertakes a detailed descriptive analysis. Findings underscore ongoing theological debates among Muslim scholars worldwide, including in Indonesia, where divergent viewpoints exist regarding the permissibility of participating in Jumu’ah prayer remotely via broadcast or live streaming under any theological school (madhhab). Critics argue against virtual congregational prayer due to logistical challenges posed by physical distancing, asserting that the spatial and communal integrity essential to Islamic worship may be compromised. Conversely, proponents advocate for a pragmatic approach, invoking the principle of maslahat (public interest) to safeguard the continuity of Friday prayers amidst unprecedented circumstances. In conclusion, this study contributes to the scholarly discourse on contemporary Islamic jurisprudence by elucidating the multifaceted debates surrounding virtual Jumu’ah prayer during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting diverse interpretations and applications of Islamic law in response to evolving global challenges.
