Abstract

This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the effect of GeoEnzo learning media on students' mathematical problem solving abilities on the subject of quadrilaterals and triangles. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Polewali totaling 223 people and the samples were students of class VII C totaling 31 people and VII D totaling 31 people. The research instrument used a problem-solving ability test, student activity sheets, and the implementation of student learning. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. From the results of statistical analysis, the average value of the pretest in the experimental class was 56.19 and the control class was 63.29. While the posttest average value in the experimental class is 87.93 and the control class is 64.32. Judging from the activities of students obtained an average percentage of 83.56%. The results of the calculation of the t test for posttest data obtained a value of 11.774. As for the value of 1.670 which means that is 11.774> 1.670. From the results of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics, it was concluded that the GeoEnzo learning media had an effect on the mathematical problem solving abilities of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Polewali.

Abstract

This research aims to identify learning problems in analytical geometry courses among mathematics education students. This research uses a meta-analysis method by analyzing 5 articles from educational research journals which discuss analytical geometry problems for students in the Mathematics Education study program. The problem used in this research is student errors in working on analytical geometry problems. Problems with learning analytical geometry among students in mathematics education study programs include student errors in solving problems related to analytical geometry. These errors include errors of fact, conceptual errors, errors in strategy formulation, and calculation errors.

Abstract

Commognitive theory views mathematical thinking as a form of communication that reflects an individual’s conceptial structure in understanding mathematics. This study is motivated by the finding that students often have difficulty in constructing mathematical models and interpreting solutions in the context of linear programs. This study aims to describe the thought process of undergraduater mahtematics education students in solving linear program progrlems based on commognitive theory. With a qualitative case study approach, two students were selected through purposive sampling technique and analyzed using problem solving questions, think aloud, and clinical interviews. The data were analyzed based on four commognitive components: word use, visual mediator, narratives, and routines. The results showed that subject M1 was able to construct a logical and coherent mahtematical narrative, although there were still deficiencies in the formula explicitness. In contrast, Subject M2 showed ritualistic mathematical communication, accompanied by logical leaps and incomplete procedures.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a formative assessment based on the Wordwall website, integrated with Islamic character values, as an interactive learning medium. The assessment not only measures students' cognitive understanding but also instills values of honesty, responsibility, and discipline. The researcher employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The resulting interactive assessment was implemented with 32 tenth-grade students of Class X F at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember and validated by experts. The validation results indicated a "Highly Feasible" category, with a score of 90% from the content expert and 86% from the media expert. Additionally, 90% of students gave positive responses, indicating that the assessment is "Highly Engaging" as a medium for formative assessment.

Abstract

Problem solving is a crucial competency in mathematics learning. This study aims to determine, examine and conclude the impact of using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' mathematical problem solving on linear program material. The method used in this study is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by tracing Sinta and Google Scholar indexed scientific articles published in the 2021-2025 range. The results of the analysis show that the PBL model consistently has a positive effect on improving students' problem solving. This finding has the potential to be a reference for improving more efficient mathematics learning strategies, especially in linear program material. keywords: problem solving; problem-based learning; program linear; Sytematic Literatur Review

Abstract

Linear programming is an essential topic in the high school mathematics curriculum, significantly contributing to students' decision-making and problem-solving skills. However, the complexity of its concepts and applications often becomes a challenge for students, making it challenging for them to translate real-world problems into mathematical models. This study aims to analyze various teaching strategies that have been implemented in linear programming instruction and evaluate their impact on students' learning outcomes. Through a systematic literature review, this study explores differentiated learning,cooperative learning models such as jigsaw, discovery learning, and the integration of technology like GeoGebra. The findings indicate that these methods effectively improve students' understanding and engagement in learning linear programming. By identifying the most effective approaches, this research provides insights for educators to implement better teaching methods, helping students grasp linear programming concepts more comprehensively and confidently.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and causal factors of learning difficulties experienced by fourth-grade elementary students in understanding measurement concepts, specifically volume and time. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and interviews. The subjects were 26 fourth-grade students at SDN 262 Panyileukkan Cibiru and one classroom teacher. The results indicated that most students had difficulties in converting measurement units, using measuring tools, and reading or determining time. These difficulties stem from the limited use of concrete media and the lack of contextual learning methods relevant to students’ daily experiences. The findings highlight the importance of implementing learning strategies that are based on direct experiences, use of instructional tools, and communicative approaches in Mathematics instruction. This study provides valuable insights for developing adaptive teaching methods that accommodate the cognitive development of elementary school students.

Abstract

The point of the inquire about is to decide students' numerical imaginative considering capacities mathematical on trigonometry fabric. The sort of investigate is graphic subjective, the investigate question is understudies at SMA Negeri 1 Central Bengkulu and the inquire about subjects are 33 understudies. The subjects interviewed were 3 students categorized as high, medium and low. Data collection was carried out using test questions and interviews. The research results showed that students' creative thinking abilities averaged 54.10. With a low indicator, namely the originality indicator, there are 22% of students in the high category, 43% of students in the medium category, 34% of students in the low category, and factors that influence low thinking ability are students who don't dare to try new things, forget, rarely practice in working on questions.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about digital comics as an effective learning medium in learning mathematics. This research uses the literature review method by collecting information related to previous research studies related to comics as effectiv e learning media in learning mathematics. This study found that digital comics are a very effective learning media to increase students' interest, motivation, learning outcomes and other activities. Digital comic learning media is one of the media preferred by students. This can be seen from the results of previous studies, which show that students respond very positively to digital comics as a learning medium.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of independent learning and structure sense abilities on mathematical connection abilities in students at SMK Negeri 2 Pacitan. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto type of research. Data was collected through questionnaires and test instruments. The data analysis used is simple linear regression analysis and simple linear analysis. The results of the research show that independent learning has no effect on students' mathematical connection abilities, while structure sense abilities have a significant effect on students' mathematical connection abilities. However, together independent learning and structure sense abilities influence students' mathematical connection abilities.
