Abstract

This study aimed to see differences in the ability of understanding the mathematical concepts that students taught through cooperative learning model jigsaw with conventional learning on eighth grade students of SMPN 18 Bengkulu academic year 2013/2014. This research is a quasi experimental study. The study population is the entire eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Bengkulu city. The research sample determined by random sampling technique and obtained  VIII.2 classes to taling 30 students as classroom control, and VIII.3 graders who totaled 30 students as a class experiment. The data collected is the data from the pre-test and post-test students' comprehension of  mathematical concepts, the data were analyzed using t-test. The results of this study indicate that while t table t count=2.1652785=2.00172 which means that there are differences in the ability of students' understanding of concepts taught through cooperative learning model jigsaw with conventional learning on eighth grade students of SMPN 18 Bengkulu academic year 2013/2014. Based on the results of this study concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model affect the ability of students 'understanding of the concept compared to conventional learning, so that there are differences inthe ability ofstudents'understanding of mathematical concepts of these two classes.Keywords: ability of understanding the mathematical concepts, Jigsaw cooperative learning model

Abstract

Indonesian students' mathematical literacy based on PISA and PIRLS assessments is still in the low category. Mathematical literacy covers how students are able to know and use basic mathematics to solve problems in real life contexts. Problem Based Learning Model is a learning model that can solve problems in real life contexts by facilitating the development of junior high school students' mathematical literacy. The main principle of Problem Based Learning emphasizes mathematical problems that are human activities and must be meaningful for students, become a motivator to improve mathematical literacy skills through the stages of learning. This article examines the mathematical literacy ability of SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu students before and after going through the Problem Based Learning Model. Students' mathematical literacy skills prior to the application of the Problem Based Learning model have a percentage of 25% for the medium category and 75% are in the low category. Then for students' mathematical literacy ability after applying the Problem Based Learning model has a percentage of 5% for the medium category, 90% is in the low category, and 5% is in the high category. The results of inferential statistical analysis (Paired Sample T-test) obtained a significance value 0.05. This means that there is an increase in students' mathematical literacy skills after the application of the Problem Based Learning model in class VII SMP Negeri 11 Bengkulu City.Keywords: Literacy Ability, Problem Based Learning

Abstract

This study was aimed to know the differences in students' mathematical problem solving skills in problem basedlearning models with cooperative type thinking aloud pairs problem solving with a scientific approach at SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu. Thedesign of this research was a quasi-experimental, used a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class X MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu consist of 6 classes, with samples consist of 3 classes, the first experimental class with the problem based learning model, the second experimental class cooperative learning model type thinking aloud pairs problem solving and conventional learning as a control class. The sampling technique used simple random sampling. Data collection was done by using a test of students' mathematical problem solving skills. The results of the research data were analyzed using one-way ANAVA test and BNT test. The prerequisite test used the Kolmogrove-Smirnov test to see normality and Bartlet's test to see homogeneity. The significant level used is 0.05. The research data showed  that there was a significant difference in students' mathematical problem-solving ability in the learning model of Problem Based Learning, cooperative type thinking aloud pairs problem solving in SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu, and problem based learning learning model which gives better results compared to the thinking type cooperative learning model thinking aloud Pairs problem solving at SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu.Keywords: mathematical problem solving, PBL,TAPPS

Abstract

This article examines the use of Canva as a teaching tool for Indonesian language instruction on job application letters in the XII Fashion Design class at SMKS 3 Idhata Curup. The goal is to describe Canva's effectiveness in enhancing students' writing skills and comprehension. Canva, as an online design and visual communication tool, helps convey messages and information effectively. This research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The study shows that Canva is effective as a learning medium, improving writing skills, comprehension, and student engagement. Integrating digital technology like Canva enriches the learning experience and prepares students for the digital workforce. It is recommended that Canva or similar digital media be more widely used across various subjects to enhance the quality of education. Overall, the use of Canva in teaching job application letters in the XII Fashion Design class at SMKS 3 Idhata Curup yields positive results and is worth implementing

Abstract

Kegiatan pendampingan belajar bagi anak-anak sekolah dasar merupakan salah satu program kerja Kuliah Kerja Nyata Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu Tahun 2023. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Dasar Desa Tanjung Bungai 1, Kecamatan Lebong Tengah. Melalui Kuliah kerja Nyata, diharapkan Mahasiswa dapat memperoleh pengalaman hidup dalam bermasyarakat dan mamapu menerapkan pengetahuan akademik mereka. Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika pada Kuliah Kerja Nyata melaksanakan program kerja wajib yaitu bimbingan belajar pada anak-anak tingkat Sekolah Dasar berbasis pendekatan pembelajaran Matematika Realistik di Desa Tanjung Bungai 1, demi meningkatkan motivasi dan minat belajar siswa terutama pada matematika. Dengan itu untuk dapat mengenalkan matematika pada tingkat Sekolah Dasar tidaklah mudah, dibutuhkan banyak metode agar anak-anak tingkat Sekolah Dasar dapat denagan mudah untuk menerima dan memahami dalam pembelajaran matematika. Salah satu metode yang bisa digunakan adalah pendampingan belajar pada anak-anak edukasi pada anak-anak tingkat Sekolah Dasar. Kegiatan ini dapat memberikan nilai positif pada proses pembelajaran pemahaman matematika pada anak-anak khusnya di Desa Tanjung Bungai 1. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwah telah diperoleh 50% anak-anak Sekolah Dasar sudah menguasai materi yang pernah dipelajari sebelumnya. Pembelajaran matematika Realistik adalah suatu pendekatan yang menempatkan realitas dan pengalaman siswa sebagai titik awal proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Desain didaktis yang didasarkan pada konsep Invers Fungsi Komposisi adalah tujuan dari penelitian ini. Dengan menggunakan tiga tahap penelitian desain didaktis yaitu: Analisis Prospektif, Metapedadidaktik, dan Retrospektif. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah wawancara dan tes kemampuan responden (TKR). Responden yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini adalah tiga puluh siswa kelas XI dari SMAN 8 Seluma dan lima mahasiswa Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu yang sebelumnya telah mempelajari invers fungsi komposisi. Soal-soal yang menggunakan invers dari fungsi komposisi yang berbeda dari contoh diidentifikasi sebagai hambatan epistomologis dalam penelitian ini. Masalah lainnya adalah siswa belum menyelesaikan masalahan invers fungsi komposisi dalam bentuk diagram panah. Dengan menggunakan hasil ini sebagai dasar, maka peneliti mengembangkan Lintasan Pembelajaran Hipotetis (HLT) dan desain didaktis untuk membantu siswa mengatasi hambatan epistomologis ini. Lima situasi, pembelajaran yang berbeda dipertimbangkan untuk desain didaktis. Hasil penelitian yang melibatkan lima siswa dari kelas sebelas di SMAN 8 Seluma, menunjukkan bahwa desain didaktis tersebut berhasil mengurangi hambatan pembelajaran epistomologis.

Abstract

Abstract This study seeks to uncover the mathematical concepts present in traditional musical instruments from Bengkulu. This study was conducted in three locations, namely the Muaro Raflesia Studio, the Malebero Art Studio and State Middle School 11 in the city of Bengkulu. The subject of this research is a cultural figure who preserves traditional Bengkulu musical instruments. Observations in this research were carried out through direct observation of Bengkulu traditional musical instruments. The creation of mathematical concepts for traditional Bengkulu musical instruments was conducted through observation, which was then deepened through interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques involved collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions The results of this research show that traditional Bengkulu musical instruments contain mathe matical concepts, namely circles, triangles, kites and congruence. The findings of these mathematical concepts can be developed into open materials in middle school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa pada pembelajaran matematika melalui Tabut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Etno-STEM. Penelitian ini melibatkan siswa kelas IX-A SMP Negeri 03 Bengkulu Tengah pada semester ganjil 2024/2025. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan melalui pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembuatan miniatur Tabut dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis Etno-STEM dapat mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Abstract

Culture is a product of human creativity, taste, and creation that reflects the identity of a community group, while mathematics is a science built through rational thinking related to real objects and abstract concepts. Ethnomathematics integrates culture into mathematics education, with culture as a relevant learning resource. This study aims to find the ideas of angles in the Ka Ga Nga script, which is part of the cultural heritage of the Rejang tribe. The method used is descriptive qualitative with an ethnographic approach, involving a cultural expert and a mathematician as the main subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation of the script, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions, with triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the Ka Ga Nga script contains mathematical concepts, especially related to angles and geometric transformations. These findings have the potential to be developed into a source of mathematics learning, such as modules and Student Worksheets based on the Ka Ga Nga script, which can enrich the learning experience in a cultural context.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the form of Islamic values-based pedagogical leadership implemented at SD Integral Hidayatullah Putri Hijau in addressing the global challenges of the 21st century. These challenges include moral crises, the flow of globalization, technological disruptions, and socio-cultural changes that directly affect the educational landscape. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that the principal and teachers at SD Integral Hidayatullah Putri Hijau practice integrative pedagogical leadership by aligning Islamic vision with contextual learning strategies. Core values such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and Islamic brotherhood serve as the foundation in decision-making processes and educational interactions. Additionally, the integration of spiritual values within the learning process, holistic character development, and the teachers’ role as role models are key elements in nurturing adaptive, critical, and morally upright students. Character-based pedagogical leadership has been proven effective in establishing an educational ecosystem capable of facing contemporary challenges while maintaining Islamic identity. This study further reveals a significant correlation and regression between pedagogical leadership and the development of students’ religious character, as well as their preparedness in confronting the global challenges of the 21st century.
