Abstract

This experimental study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic of matrices in relation to the mathematics learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at SMK Ma'arif Husnul Khatimah. The total number of participants was 88 students, with the sample consisting of 15 students from the Multimedia class and 15 students from the Fashion Design class. The research instruments included tests on student learning outcomes, student activity sheets, the implementation of learning, and student response questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. From the statistical analysis, the average pretest score in the experimental class was 52.00, while in the control class it was 52.66. The average posttest score in the experimental class was 83.85, while in the control class it was 70.66. In terms of student activity, the average percentage was 88.05%. For the student response, the average percentage was 98.99%. The results of the t-test calculation for the posttest data showed a t-value of 3.265, while the t-table value was 2.656, meaning that t_calculated > t_table, or 3.265 > 2.656. From the results of the descriptive and inferential statistical analysis, it is concluded that the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the topic of matrices has a significant effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at SMK Ma'arif Husnul Khatimah.

Abstract

Digital literacy is an essential ability that students must have to face the challenges of the digital era. However, many students still use technology passively without developing creative and productive skills. The "Visual Learning with Canva: Increasing Students' Digital Literacy with Interactive Design Media at SMA 23 Makassar" program aims to increase students' digital literacy through a design-based learning approach. Students will learn to create visual content such as posters, infographics, and presentations that are relevant to learning. This training integrates digital literacy, creativity, and critical thinking skills as provisions for students to improve their learning abilities. The expected results of this training are an increase in students' ability to understand and use technology productively, as well as the creation of quality visual content that can support the learning process and increase participants' digital literacy.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study that aims to determine the effect of GeoEnzo learning media on students' mathematical problem solving abilities on the subject of quadrilaterals and triangles. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Polewali totaling 223 people and the samples were students of class VII C totaling 31 people and VII D totaling 31 people. The research instrument used a problem-solving ability test, student activity sheets, and the implementation of student learning. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. From the results of statistical analysis, the average value of the pretest in the experimental class was 56.19 and the control class was 63.29. While the posttest average value in the experimental class is 87.93 and the control class is 64.32. Judging from the activities of students obtained an average percentage of 83.56%. The results of the calculation of the t test for posttest data obtained a value of 11.774. As for the value of 1.670 which means that is 11.774> 1.670. From the results of descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics, it was concluded that the GeoEnzo learning media had an effect on the mathematical problem solving abilities of seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Polewali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal Ulangan Akhir Semester Genap mata pelajaran Matematika kelas VIII di SMPN 22 Sinjai. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian statistik deskriptif. Data diperoleh dari hasil ujian sumatif akhir semester genap sebanyak 25 butir soal pilihan ganda yang dikerjakan oleh 22 siswa kelas VIIIA sebagai sampel, serta lembar validasi dari dua orang validator yang terdiri dari satu orang ahli dan satu orang praktisi pendidikan. Instrumen penelitian divalidasi menggunakan analisis Aiken's V untuk menilai validitas isi, dan reliabilitas soal dihitung menggunakan persamaan Kuder-Richardson 20 (KR-20). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari uji validitas Aiken's V, diperoleh nilai sebesar 0,73 yang berada pada kategori validitas tinggi. Sementara itu, koefisien reliabilitas soal berdasarkan KR-20 adalah sebesar 0,955, yang termasuk dalam kategori reliabilitas sangat tinggi. Dengan demikian, butir soal Ulangan Akhir Semester Genap Matematika kelas VIII SMPN 22 Sinjai dapat dinyatakan valid dan reliabel sehingga layak digunakan sebagai alat evaluasi hasil belajar. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru dalam menyusun soal yang berkualitas untuk mengukur pencapaian belajar siswa secara optimal.

Abstract

The Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model has been widely applied in various disciplines, including physics learning at the high school level. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the STAD model in improving physics learning outcomes through literature studies from various relevant studies. The results of the analysis show that the STAD model is able to increase student involvement in learning, strengthen conceptual understanding, and improve learning outcomes significantly compared to conventional methods. The advantage of STAD lies in the structure of group cooperation that encourages active interaction between students, thus creating a more dynamic and enjoyable learning environment. In addition, this model also contributes to improving students' social skills. However, the implementation of STAD requires careful planning and support from teachers so that learning can run effectively. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya kemampun numerasi matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPS Puncak Sumua. penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi matematika siswa kelas VIII sebagai subjek penelitian. Jenis penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan penerapan strategi peer tutoring. Teknik analis data pada penelitian ini adalah analis data statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam penerapan strategi tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan numerasi matematika siswa di tandai dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I dan lebih meningkat di siklus II dengan rata-rata hasil belajar di siklus I 67,20 dan di siklus II 82,70 ini membuktikan bahwa dalam penerapan strategi peer tutoring bisa meningkat.

Abstract

Interest in pursuing a career as a teacher is an important factor in the preparation of future educators, especially in teacher education programs. The objectives of this study are 1) to determine the effect of self-efficacy and perceptions of the teaching profession on interest in becoming a teacher in chemistry education study program students, 2) to determine the effect of self-efficacy on interest in becoming a teacher of chemistry education study program students, 3) to determine the effect of perceptions of the teaching profession on interest in becoming a teacher of chemistry education study program students. A quantitative correlational approach was used, with participants selected through proportional random sampling. Independent variables include self-efficacy (X1), which represents students' confidence in their teaching skills, and perceptions of the teaching profession (X2), which includes attitudes towards the profession's image, challenges, and social significance. The dependent variable was students' interest in pursuing a career as a teacher (Y). A questionnaire was used to collect data, and its reliability was assessed using Cronbach's Alpha, construct validity with Pearson's product-moment correlation, and content using Gregory's model. The impact of the independent variables on the dependent variable was evaluated using regression analysis. The results showed that student's motivation to pursue a career in teaching is strongly influenced by their opinions about the teaching profession and their level of self-efficacy.

Abstract

Prestasi akademik siswa dalam pelajaran matematika umumnya tergolong rendah. Kondisi ini dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya pemberian umpan balik kepada siswa dan penerapan strategi evaluasi yang belum efektif. Metode evaluasi yang mampu meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dengan pemberian umpan balik terutama dari teman sebaya adalah Asesmen formatif tipe Peer Asesmen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dampak implementasi asesmen formatif tipe peer asesmen terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Bulukumba pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025, yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, satu sebagai kelas eksperimen dan satu lagi merupakan kelas kontrol. Instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar yang dikumpulkan melalui pemberian tes setelah pelaksanaan pembelajaran selesai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata nilai tes hasil belajar siswa di kelas eksperimen adalah 87,07 dan mediannya adalah 85. Rata – rata nilai tes hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol adalah 75,00 dan median 75,00. Hasil temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa siswa pada kelas eksperimen memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik terhadap materi setelah diterapkannya metode peer asesmen. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis Uji Nonparametrik menghasilkan p value < 0,001. Karena nilai p < 0,05 maka Ho ditolak, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi asesmen formatif tipe peer asesmen berdampak positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study seeks to examine the implementation of the IOC Learning Model (Inside-outside-circle) in enhancing the interest and academic performance of elementary school children. This model emphasizes the interconnection of learning inputs, instructional processes, and learning outcomes, while taking into account the educational environment's context. This research used a literature review methodology, examining the efficacy of the IOC Model across diverse educational settings. The findings indicate that the IOC Model can provide a more pertinent and stimulating educational experience, particularly in primary education. It is adaptable and attuned to the diverse individual requirements of students, hence fostering intrinsic drive and critical thinking abilities. The effective execution of the IOC Model is contingent upon teacher preparedness, educational infrastructure, and sufficient policy backing. This study indicates the necessity for additional empirical research to evaluate the model's performance across many educational contexts and to discern the difficulties and opportunities associated with its implementation. The IOC model possesses the capacity to enhance educational quality, particularly in addressing the problems of 21st-century learning.
