Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of work ability, work discipline, and non-physical work environment on the performance of civil servant employees at the Department of Manpower of North Sumatra Province. The study used a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research population consisted of 215 civil servant employees, with a sample of 69 respondents selected using the Slovin formula through purposive sampling. Primary data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires, and the results were processed using SPSS software version 24. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to examine the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The results showed that work ability, work discipline, and non-physical work environment, both partially and simultaneously, had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work ability was the most dominant variable influencing employee performance, as indicated by the highest regression coefficient. The coefficient of determination (adjusted R²) was 0.920, indicating that 92.0% of the variation in employee performance was explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 8.0% was explained by other variables not included in this research model. In addition, the strength of the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable was categorized as very strong, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.961.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of product quality, product design, and product variation on product innovation at the Sm Sprei Binjai Store. This study used a quantitative method involving 67 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical formulas, namely by using the normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS Version 23.0 program. The results of this study indicate that t-test, the calculated t value is 10.820, which is greater than the t-table of 1.99 with a significance level of 0.000. Thus, H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that product quality has a positive and partially significant influence on product innovation. The results of the t-test obtained a calculated t value of 2.918, which is greater than the t-table of 1.99 with a significance level of 0.005. Thus, H2 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that product design has a positive and partially significant influence on product innovation. The results of the t-test obtained a calculated t value of -0.208, which is smaller than the t-table of 1.99 with a significance level of 0.836. Thus, H3 is rejected and H0 is accepted, which means that product variation does not have a partially significant influence on product innovation. The results of the simultaneous test of the F count value are 82.043 with a significance level of 0.000, so it can be concluded that simultaneously the variables of product quality, product design and product variation have a significant influence on the dependent variable, namely product innovation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of work discipline, job satisfaction, and work environment on employee performance at the Regional Civil Service Police Unit and Fire and Rescue Department of Langkat Regency. This study applies a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 72 respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after passing validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results indicate that work discipline, job satisfaction, and work environment individually have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneous testing also confirms that the three independent variables collectively have a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination shows that a substantial proportion of the variation in employee performance is explained by the proposed model. These findings provide empirical implications for human resource management in public sector organizations, particularly in improving employee performance through strengthened work discipline, enhanced job satisfaction, and improved work environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the influence of supportive coworkers, appropriate rewards, and supportive work environment conditions on employee job satisfaction at the Head Office of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal Belawan. The research employed an associative-quantitative approach with a multiple linear regression method. The population consisted of all 209 employees, while the sample included 68 permanent employees who were selected using the Slovin formula and determined through purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires in 2025, and the entire analytical process was processed using SPSS 24.0 software. The results showed that supportive coworkers, appropriate rewards, and supportive work environment conditions had a positive and significant influence both partially and simultaneously on employee job satisfaction. The findings also indicated that the appropriate rewards variable was the most dominant factor affecting job satisfaction compared with the other variables. Approximately 85.7% of job satisfaction was explained by the three variables, namely coworkers, rewards, and work environment, with a very strong relationship. These results suggested that perceptions of reward fairness, clarity of reward processes, and recognition of individual contributions had the greatest influence on employees’ evaluations of their work. This study provided empirical contributions to human resource management studies, particularly those related to job satisfaction in the port service industry.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of price and product quality on purchasing interest in Rengginang Zaennissa Snack Medan. This research used quantitative methods involving 72 respondents. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire distribution. The data obtained were analyzed using statistical formulas, namely using the normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS Version 23.0 program. The results of this research show that the results of this study indicate that the t-test results obtained a calculated t value of 94.012 greater than ttable 1.99 with a significance level of 0.000. Thus, H2 is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that price has a positive and partially significant influence on consumer purchasing interest. The calculated t value of 42.462 is greater than ttable 1.99 with a significance level of 0.000. Thus, H2 is accepted and Ho is rejected, which means that product quality has a positive and partially significant influence on consumer purchasing interest. The calculated F value is 10127.477 with a significance level of 0.00o. Because the calculated F value of 10127.477 is greater than Ftable 3.13, it can be concluded that simultaneously the product quality and price variables have a significant influence on the dependent variable, namely purchasing interest.
