Abstract

The rapid expansion of social media has transformed how e-commerce platforms engage with consumers. However, empirical evidence regarding the mediating roles of brand image and brand trust in explaining the effect of social media marketing on purchase intention remains limited and inconsistent. This study examines the influence of social media marketing on purchase intention in Shopee by incorporating brand image and brand trust as mediating variables. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected from 300 active Shopee users in Yogyakarta who had been exposed to Shopee social media content. The sample was selected using a non-probability sampling technique with a convenience sampling approach. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that social media marketing influences brand image and brand trust, which subsequently affect purchase intention. Both brand image and brand trust function as mediators in the relationship between social media marketing and purchase intention. These results confirm the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) framework, where social media marketing acts as the stimulus, brand image and brand trust represent the organism, and purchase intention represents the response. This study contributes to the literature by strengthening the application of the SOR model in digital marketing and highlighting the role of psychological mechanisms in consumer behavior. The results suggest that e-commerce platforms should design social media content that is engaging, credible, informative, and aligned with current trends to strengthen consumer perception and trust, thereby enhancing purchase intention.

Abstract

Moral education in early childhood holds critical urgency, as this developmental stage represents the golden age that shapes children’s character, moral values, and spiritual foundations for subsequent growth. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Gemini application in moral education for early childhood learning. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected from four classroom teachers and one principal through in-depth interviews using purposive sampling, with all students observed as research subjects to assess character development. Data were obtained through interviews and classroom observations, then analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques, with validity ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings reveal that the integration of the Gemini application occurs across planning, implementation, and material development stages, serving as a source of ideas, references, Islamic stories, and learning activities tailored to the characteristics of young children. The use of Gemini enhances efficiency in lesson preparation, strengthens teachers’ creativity in designing moral education, and provides more relevant learning materials aligned with early childhood needs. This study contributes to the growing discourse on artificial intelligence in moral education and offers practical insights for teachers to integrate the Gemini application effectively, creatively, and responsibly in early childhood education.

Abstract

Critical thinking is a vital 21st-century skill that enables students to think creatively and logically. In Islamic Education, this skill often remains underdeveloped, especially in responding to higher-order thinking skills questions. This study examines differences in critical thinking skills between students taught using the Active Deep Learning Experience model and those taught with the Inquiry Based Learning model. Employing a quantitative quasi-experimental design, the research involved sixth-grade students. The findings reveal that: (1) the Active Deep Learning Experience is more effective than Inquiry Based Learning for students with high prior ability, with a significance value of 0.049 (<0.05); (2) the Active Deep Learning Experience is also more effective for students with low prior ability, with a significance value of 0.032 (<0.05); (3) students with low prior ability showed significant improvement, with a significance value of 0.040 (<0.05); and (4) no significant interaction was found between learning models and prior ability, with a significance value of 0.325 (>0.05). Overall, the Active Deep Learning Experience consistently demonstrates superiority in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in Islamic Education, supported by its integration of national and integrated curricula to achieve holistic learning outcomes.

Abstract

Quranic learning is often perceived as difficult by students, leading to low interest and limited engagement. However, with appropriate teaching methods tailored to learners’ diversity, motivation can be significantly improved. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Tartil method on enhancing students’ interest in Quranic learning. An exploratory sequential mixed-methods design was employed. Qualitative data were collected through in-depth interviews with fifteen informants (teachers and students) selected via purposive sampling, while quantitative data were obtained from 115 respondents using simple random sampling. Qualitative data were analyzed thematically using NVivo 12, while quantitative data were processed descriptively with SPSS 22. Findings revealed nine themes related to increased learning interest after applying the Tartil method. Quantitative analysis showed high student interest with a mean score of 4.14. These findings demonstrate that the Tartil method is a viable alternative for teachers in Quranic pedagogy, as it effectively fosters students’ motivation and engagement in Quranic learning.

Abstract

The digital transformation in higher education has driven a paradigm shift from conventional learning models to the integration of information technology, including Islamic Education courses. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of online learning in Islamic Education at universities by applying Stufflebeam’s evaluation model of Context, Input, Process, and Product. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving lecturers and students as research participants. Data were collected through questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that online learning in Islamic Education is considered effective in terms of context and input, yet faces significant challenges in process and product. Student participation levels are relatively high but remain suboptimal, with major obstacles including technological access gaps, diverse digital competencies among lecturers, and the reduction of affective values in learning. Cognitive learning outcomes were achieved satisfactorily, while affective and psychomotor domains showed declining quality compared to face-to-face learning. The study recommends strengthening lecturers’ digital literacy, developing blended learning models, and reformulating evaluation systems capable of measuring competencies holistically. These findings contribute to the development of adaptive and meaningful Islamic Education policies in the digital era.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education requires Islamic Education teachers to design assessments that are not only valid and reliable but also adaptive to the demands of 21st-century learning. This study aims to conceptually examine technology-based assessment designs aligned with the characteristics of Islamic Education, encompassing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Using a qualitative content analysis approach, data were collected through library research from books, journal articles, and relevant educational policy documents. Thematic analysis was conducted following Miles and Huberman’s framework, enabling the identification of key themes. The findings highlight four essential stages in digital assessment design: planning, instrument development, indicator and rubric construction, and result analysis. Platforms such as Google Forms, Quizizz, Kahoot!, Google Classroom, and Moodle provide efficiency, interactivity, and data analysis advantages, yet challenges remain in infrastructure limitations, low digital literacy among teachers, and risks of student misconduct. The implications recommend blended assessment strategies and strengthening digital competencies of Islamic Education teachers to ensure effective, authentic, and meaningful assessment practices in the Merdeka Curriculum era.

Abstract

This study investigates the transformation of Qur’anic learning curriculum from the traditional Tabarak method to the innovative Utrujah method, highlighting the urgency of pedagogical renewal in Islamic education. The research aims to analyze the rationale for curriculum change, the process of implementation, and its implications for learners’ engagement and comprehension. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through classroom observation, in-depth interviews with teachers, and curriculum document analysis. Data analysis followed descriptive qualitative procedures, including reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The framework of change management applied in this study refers to Kurt Lewin’s three stages: unfreezing, changing, and refreezing. Findings reveal that during the unfreezing stage, internal evaluation identified limitations of the Tabarak method, such as weak reading skills, reliance on audio, and absence of quality control mechanisms, which fostered collective awareness of the need for change. The changing stage was characterized by the implementation of the Utrujah method through strengthening tahsin before tahfiz, grouping students by ability, enhancing teacher roles, intensive mentoring, and continuous monitoring, accompanied by adaptation dynamics and initial resistance. In the refreezing stage, transformation was stabilized through standardized SOPs, sustained supervision, teacher accountability, and improved student achievements. The study concludes that the Utrujah method offers a model of Qur’anic education modernization that remains relevant to contemporary needs while preserving sacred tradition.

Abstract

Packaging design in diagnostic kits serves a dual function: safeguarding biologically sensitive components and facilitating rapid, accurate communication of technical information to laboratory personnel. This study investigates how visual elements specifically color schemes, typography, layout, and graphic symbols affect the ease of product identification among laboratory users. Using the Nusantics PathoScan hrHPV molecular diagnostic kit as a case study, the research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach through visual observation and formal product analysis. Findings reveal that consistent use of color coding enhances differentiation between kit components, while clear typographic hierarchy improves readability under time-sensitive laboratory conditions. Structured layout and standardized graphic symbols further support intuitive recognition, reducing the likelihood of misidentification. The study underscores the importance of packaging as a communication tool that extends beyond aesthetics, directly influencing laboratory workflow efficiency and diagnostic accuracy. Implications highlight the need for integrating principles of visual communication into biomedical product design, ensuring that packaging contributes to both functional safety and user-centered usability. This research provides insights for manufacturers, designers, and laboratory practitioners seeking to optimize diagnostic kit packaging for improved operational outcomes.

Abstract

The growing role of foundations as governing bodies of Islamic education has become increasingly strategic, particularly for those managing multiple institutions with rapid expansion. This dynamic context generates managerial complexity, especially in human resource development and infrastructure provision. This study aims to analyze how Islamic education foundations in West Sumatra implement the core management functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Employing a qualitative field research approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis involving foundation executives, divisional heads, and school leaders. Data analysis followed a descriptive qualitative framework, encompassing reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that foundation management is conducted in a structured and centralized manner, characterized by strategic and medium-term orientation. Human resource and infrastructure planning is integrated into a five-year strategic plan aligned with financial management. Organizational structuring is achieved through functional divisions with clear task distribution and authority. Implementation is carried out selectively and progressively, utilizing internal resources and foundation-based management information systems. Control mechanisms include periodic evaluation, budget adjustments, asset documentation, and cross-divisional coordination. The study implies that strategic and integrated management practices strengthen institutional sustainability, offering a replicable model for large-scale Islamic education governance in diverse contexts.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the prudential principle in Islamic banking financing within the digital era as a strategic instrument for risk mitigation. The rapid digital transformation in Islamic banking has shifted financing processes from conventional mechanisms toward technology-driven systems, including digital onboarding, electronic identity verification, big data analytics, and automated risk assessment. While digitalization enhances efficiency and financial inclusion, it simultaneously introduces new risks such as cybersecurity threats, data manipulation, operational failures, and Sharia compliance challenges. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research integrates empirical insights, juridical-normative analysis, and bibliometric mapping. Primary data were obtained through interviews with Islamic banking practitioners engaged in digital financing and risk management, while secondary data were drawn from regulations, academic literature, and industry reports. Bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer identified dominant themes and research gaps related to prudential principles, Islamic banking, and digital risk governance. Findings reveal that the prudential principle has evolved into a multidimensional governance system encompassing financing analysis, technology validation, cybersecurity, data protection, operational supervision, and Sharia compliance. The study concludes that digital transformation reinforces rather than diminishes the relevance of prudential principles, contributing to theoretical discourse on Islamic digital finance and offering practical recommendations to strengthen risk management, financial stability, and public trust.
