Abstract

Goat manure that has not been processed still has a poor texture. On the other hand, the high price of fertilizer makes it difficult for farmers to get it. However, with many farmers also having goats, of course goat manure can be an abundant source of fertilizer. The community service implementation team from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, State University of Malang (UM) answered partners' needs, by providing a solution for implementing Goat Manure Grinder technology. To achieve the goal of service, the procedures taken include 1) location survey, 2) social approach, 3) product development, 4) preparation of guidelines, 5) application of science and technology/TTG through outreach activities, introduction of tools/TTG and training; 6) follow-up through modeling and mentoring; 7) monev: progress presentation and final report, and 8) outcome fulfillment. This tool is useful for 1) smoothing goat manure, 2) can help local farmers to get cheap organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The professionalism of vocational school teachers is also seen as lacking. This is shown by the high number of vocational school teachers who do not yet have teaching certificates or skill competency certificates. Educator certification is an indicator that the teacher has been declared to have met the requirements and passed the competency test to become a professional teacher. On the other hand, a skills competency certificate is an indicator that a vocational teacher is an expert in a vocational field. The problem is that not all teachers have the opportunity to take part in programs/disseminations either officially organized by the government or private sector to improve professional competence. The community service implementation team from the UM Automotive Engineering Education Undergraduate study program provides training specifically for automotive engineering teachers at the vocational school with the aim of transferring the latest knowledge related to automotive advanced, namely EMS, to improve teachers' professional competence. Training methods include site surveys, formulating training materials, making schedules, preparing tools, materials and training instructors up to evaluation. EMS training was held offline in accordance with health protocols, and the results were an increase in teacher professional competence as evidenced by the mean posttest score (70.29) > mean pretest score (62.11) and the difference was real Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 at 0.05. Apart from that, from the resource person's explanation, teachers know how to teach EMS to students.

Abstract

The demand for local chicken meat supply in Lampung is relatively high, but it cannot be fully met now. Chicken farmers, who are the suppliers of local chicken meat, face difficulties due to the fluctuating supply of chicks for traditional chicken farming. The success rate of traditional chicken hatching is only around 50%, which necessitates the use of egg incubators to condition eggs in an ideal environment for hatching, thus minimizing hatching failures. The machine works by maintaining a consistent temperature in the incubation room throughout the hatching process, periodically rotating the eggs in four positions, and is equipped with temperature and humidity monitoring devices. In the Community Service Program (PkM), the approach used is a mentoring method, allowing farmers to ask questions directly if they encounter difficulties. The expected outcome is that chicken farmers will be able to assemble egg incubators independently, creating the egg-turning mechanism and the machine's casing, while other control and support tools will be purchased. During the mentoring process, farmers will be provided with working drawings for the driving mechanism, machine casing, and specifications of the necessary tools and materials. Farmers will also receive a step-by-step guide for assembly, making it easy to follow. At the end of the PkM, it is expected that farmers will have a minimum understanding of 90%-100 % of what was taught during the mentoring process, and for any remaining questions, they can consult online or through discussions on WhatsApp.

Abstract

Ansor Youth is one of the Nahdlatul Ulama groups involved in youth and community affairs. GP Ansor was inaugurated at the 9th NU Congress on April 24 1934 M/10 Muharram 1353 H in Banyuwangi. This organization has proven its existence in various activities such as politics, social and other activities within it. Apart from that, the Ansor Youth Movement organization can announce the quality of their team. Because there are many activities within this organization, the organization often holds internal meetings for the continuity of the organization. This organization still uses manual methods and has not digitized the process of making meeting invitations. Sometimes they make digital meeting invitations, but the design is still not attractive and seems ordinary. For this reason, this community service activity was held to help increase the skills of members or administrators of their organization in making digital-based meeting invitations, so that the meeting invitation becomes an innovative, interesting meeting invitation, does not seem stiff and is more cost-effective and paper-based. Can manage guests who will attend. Apart from that, this activity was held using lecture, demonstration and practicum methods. The results obtained from this activity were that the participants were able to improve their skills in making digital meeting invitations.

Abstract

Adolescence is a transition period between children and adults. Nutritional needs that are not properly met result in delayed sexual maturation or the emergence of anemia. The nutritional action that will be provided will be in the form of nutritional education and giving iron tablets to students. The aim of the activity is to increase knowledge about the nutritional needs of adolescents, anemia and preventing anemia. The nutritional action was carried out on 26 class VII students at SMP Progresif Bumi Sholawat. Implementation of activities consists of: the preparation stage, namely the formulation and development of material, preparation of educational equipment; the implementation stage consists of providing nutritional education to female students with the UNO block game; The evaluation stage is in the form of a pretest-posttest on nutritional knowledge and filling out a questionnaire responding to the implementation of activities. Delivery of material using UNO block games, and discussions. All participants (100%) participated in the activity completely from start to finish. The average ability of participants in mastering the material can be said to be quite good with an increase in the average score from pretest to posttest of 8.08 points. The results of filling in the participant response questionnaire revealed that the indicators of suitability of the material, media and instructor's abilities were rated positively (strongly agree-agree) by the majority of participants with a range of 70-100% of participants. The joint consumption of iron tablets was welcomed very enthusiastically by all the students of SMP Progresif Bumi Sholawat.

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide knowledge to congregation treasurers and organizational service providers about the importance of financial records in managing church finances. The approach technique used is seminars and simulations or direct training. It is hoped that this service will have an impact on members of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish congregation, namely improving church financial management and implementing financial records to achieve transparency in financial management.

Abstract

The rapid development of digitalization has had an impact on the rise of crime in cyberspace. Technological sophistication that allows the free exchange of information via internet networks allows criminal acts on the internet or cyberspace to become increasingly diverse. The large number of crimes committed by criminals using computer technology and internet networks means that socialization is considered important to build public awareness. People who understand information security can protect their personal information and prevent misuse of information in cyberspace. The method used in this service through outreach is Community Based Research (CBR) which involves the active role of students and lecturers by including the help of community organization groups. The outreach carried out by the service team aims to increase participants' understanding of the importance of maintaining information security. This outreach is useful for minimizing the potential for spreading detrimental information. The results of the evaluation of socialization activities show an increase in participants' understanding and awareness of the importance of being careful in disseminating various information on the internet, both personal information and news information. In this way, the service team hopes that the material presented to participants in the socialization activities will be applied in everyday life and make them more careful and critical in using various information in cyberspace.

Abstract

The Qur'an is the holy book owned by Muslims and accepted by the last prophet, Prophet Muhammad SAW and also as the last book to perfect the previous books. The Al-Qur'an must be read correctly according to the makhraj, the nature of the letters, understood and practiced in daily life so that people can practice the Al-Qur'an both textually, verbally and culturally. In the Al-Qur'an and Hadith it has been stated that the Islamic religion encourages its followers to develop intelligence, starting with learning to read and write and then by learning various kinds of knowledge. The fact that the majority of people in Indonesia who are Muslim are aware that their ability to read the Koran is very minimal, this is a matter of concern and requires special focus to address it. This phenomenon has led to the emergence of many educational institutions with the vision of developing non-formal education in the field of tahsin and tahfizh (memorization), as well as internalizing the values of the Koran and forming Islamic morals and personality. The role of the Fakfak Qur'an House in the formation of children's morals in the Pariwari District, Fakfak Regency, West Papua, through two processes, namely education in the classroom and a practical process. The activities carried out by Fakfak Qur'an House (FQH) are activities with the aim of increasing children's interest in reading the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

Selili Village area which is located at Jalan Selili RT. 43 No. 11, Kec. Manggar, Kel. Balikpapan Timur, Balikpapan City is a village area in general, the area is on the coast near the sea. There the average occupation of its citizens is fishermen and fish sellers. Traveling to the location is quite easy, there is road access that can be passed by motorbikes and cars. There are differences in where the residents live, some live on the sea coast and some live in the mainland area. From the problems obtained during the survey, there is a solution to help the Selili Manggar area community, especially residents of RT. 43 in increasing the income from the fish they catch, namely in the form of processing fish into preparations that are easy to eat and accepted in the market. This processed fish can be in the form of fish balls, tempura, fish nuggets. It is usually favored by the market because it tastes good, is easy to cook by frying or boiling, and many small children like it. The proposed program in helping the community of RT. 43, namely conducting socialization from planning product results, how to market, product management, how to package attractively, after that fostering the output of this socialization and a product resulting from this community service activity, namely processed fish products from the sea, training on how to process and market products made, and socialization to local residents.

Abstract

One of the important factors in children's growth and development is the development of language and speech. Developing language skills can help children express feelings, communicate with the person they are talking to, and solve problems. This community service aims to provide insight into the knowledge of accompanying teachers at Surakarta City Inclusion Schools regarding early detection of speech delay in children in elementary schools. The activity was carried out at the UPT Center for Disability Services and Inclusive Education in Surakarta City. The material provided is the definition of speech delay, characteristics and treatment for children who experience speech delay. The stages of community service activities consist of the preparation stage, implementation stage and evaluation stage. The result of this activity is to increase the insight of accompanying teachers in inclusive schools regarding speech delay in elementary school children.
