Abstract

East Sambirejo Village is a village in Deli Serdang district. The village has many MSME businesses that are managed conventionally. This makes product marketing's reach limited. In this digital era, the internet is one of the most effective and efficient marketing media because it has a wide market reach and is more cost-effective. Based on this, this activity was carried out to improve the marketing of MSME products in East Sambirejo Village. The expected results of this activity are to produce a website that the village community can use to promote existing products in the village and also sell MSME products online.

Abstract

Burns are damage to the body's skin caused by heat trauma or cold trauma (frost bite). The community does not have optimal knowledge about burns, therefore the community does not have optimal knowledge about the first treatment of burns and the community does not have good skills in the first treatment of burns. The purpose of this community service is to provide knowledge about burns, burn first handlers and provide training on first handlers of burns first handlers. The methods used are burn treatment, counseling on the first treatment of burns and training on burn management. The number of respondents was 15 people. From the results of the pretest conducted, it was found that the average respondent had less knowledge and skills in handling burns. Evidenced by the average value of repondents below 7, and only one respondent has a value of 7 which means that they have less knowledge in handling burns. This is likely because respondents already know little about burns. After respondents were given knowledge about burn management, as well as demonstrations related to burn management, there was an increase in knowledge in burn management, although some have not achieved scores in the good category, but all have shown increased knowledge and skills in burn management.

Abstract

SMPIT Almadinah is a private educational institution with 426 students, located on Jl. Sukahati No.36, Karadenan, Cibinong, Bogor, West Java 16913. In August 2021 the SMPIT Almadinah school in collaboration with the government held a Covid-19 vaccination for teachers and students in preparation for the start of offline learning. Some students missed the event due to a concern of benefits and safety of the Covid-19 vaccine. The purpose of this activity was to increase the understanding of SMPIT Almadinah Cibinong students about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine and the safety of the Covid-19 vaccine. Counseling of the knowledge about SarsCov2 virus, the Covid-19 vaccine, and the human immune response was expected to increase the knowledge of SMPIT Almadinah students. When knowledge about the importance of the Covid-19 vaccine is better, it is hoped that it will be easier to accept recommendations to be willing to accept the Covid-19 vaccine. The indicator of the increase in knowledge about the SarsCov2 virus and the Covid-19 vaccine can be assessed by providing questionnaires at pre-counseling and post-counseling. The implementation of this outreach activity conducted online. This activity was preceded by a field survey and interviews with the school regarding the needs that could be facilitated by this activity. In conclusion, this activity was appreciated by students of SMPIT Almadinal school and future activities related to this topic should be conducted continously.

Abstract

Compiling and formulating learning tools is one of the important tasks carried out by an educator. Curriculum development and change is a necessity, the independent curriculum is the latest curriculum to be implemented in 2022. In its implementation, significant differences arise related to the preparation of learning tools. This gives rise to problems in developing learning tools, including: difficulties in identifying CP, compiling TP (learning objectives from existing) CP (learning outcomes), formulating ATP (learning objective flow) from TP, and describing it in learning assessment. The implementation of this service activity uses the method online lectures, discussions and questions and answers. At each stage of implementation, the Direct Instruction strategy was used. The results of this activity show the teacher's ability to create modules, especially when developing assessments. This can be seen from the teaching modules that have been produced in the process and after service activities. From the results of the questionnaire given at the end of the activity, it appears that the direct benefits of the PkM activities carried out were 82.% in the Very Good category.

Abstract

One of the national movements implemented by the Indonesian Catholic Bishops' Conference for Catholics throughout Indonesia is National Scripture Month which falls in September. During this month, Indonesian Catholics under the coordination of the Indonesian Biblical Institute held catechesis activities to encourage people to read and love the Word of God in the Holy Bible. In 2023, National Scripture Month will be held under the theme "God is the Source of Love and Salvation". So that all Catholics can understand the catechesis material for National Scripture Month, outreach is needed. In order for facilitators to be able to carry out the task of leading catechesis, catechesis refreshment is needed for facilitators. This is also needed by the Santo Kristoforus Ba'a Rote Parish. So, activities to disseminate materials for National Scripture Month and refresher catechesis are carried out as a form of service to the community. The methods used are lectures and discussions. The expected result is the congregation's understanding of the material for National Holy Bible Month 2023 and the facilitator's skills in leading the congregation's catechesis are refreshed.

Abstract

Hypertension and hypercholesterolemia are diseases whose prevalence is still relatively high in Indonesia. One of the provinces with the highest incidence of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia in Indonesia is East Kalimantan. Treatment and prevention of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia can be done modernly or traditionally. However, traditional treatment is considered cheaper and safer to use. One of the traditional efforts to prevent hypertension and hypercholesterolemia can be done by using family medicinal plants (TOGA). In order to be effective and efficient, prevention of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia must be equipped with sufficient knowledge. One source of knowledge is obtained from education about hypertension and hypercholesterolemia. Counseling is one part of community service activities. Therefore, this activity was carried out with the aim of increasing public awareness of hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, so that people can carry out treatment and prevention by utilizing potential plants around the house independently. This activity involved 40 people from Argo Mulyo Village, Sepaku District, North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The results of this activity show that the community has increased knowledge related to hypertension and hypercholesterolemia as indicated by higher posttest results compared to the pretest. The community was also very enthusiastic and responded well during the counseling and demonstration on making empon (herbal drink).

Abstract

Maintaining health is an obligation and an important investment in order to live a productive and meaningful life. To maintaining and improving health, various health methods and products have attracted public attention. One product that is getting more attention is rubbing oil. The aim of this activity is to provide knowledge and skills to the community of Lok Bahu Region in producing rubbing oil independently. An educational approach is used to explain the ingredients, manufacturing process, and benefits of using the rubbing oil. The results of this service activity show a significant increase in public knowledge about the health benefits of using rubbing oil. Apart from that, service participants also demonstrated increased skills in making rubbing oil which can be implemented independently in the household environment. Evaluation of this activity shows that this program has succeeded in increasing public awareness of the use of natural ingredients for health.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases are one of the causes of disability and death in the world which are often found in developing countries, one of the factors is a change in diet that is high in fat, processed meat, high in salt and sugar but low in fiber. The aim of this social empowerment project is to screen the nutritional status of teenagers. The method is carried out sequentially starting from registration, then continuing with measuring height and weight. The results of this social empowerment project are that the majority are female, the majority are 18 years old and the majority's nutritional status is normal. During this screening, nutritional imbalances were also found to be high, so it is necessary to increase education and outreach regarding good and balanced nutrition to avoid various non-communicable diseases in the future.

Abstract

The Litter Picking Movement was carried out after the Workshop activities with the aim of knowing the available information as well as knowledge about solutions in managing polluted environments, especially the ever-present waste problem, and providing understanding especially for future school children, as well as those involved in creating mutual care. Previously, a workshop was held on the role of millennials in creating a clean culture in the environment. Gerakan Pungut Sampah (GPS) is carried out in one of the Tourist Attractions in Sorong City in Kampung Baru Village, a gathering or relaxing place for young people as well as a Crossing Place (Port) to the Sorong Islands District. The results of the first Pungut Sampah Movement (GPS) service, in addition to holding habituation activities (habituation) in changing the culture of the lifestyle of the people in Papua, at the SAR Port of Sorong City managed to collect as many as 114 sacks, with a total weight of 2,124 kg of garbage sacks, including mixed garbage, plastic waste, and glass bottle waste in a day. Second, the habit that is always nurtured will produce care and it will be inherited by children and grandchildren in the future. Third, people's understanding of diverse cultures, religions or gender identities can reduce discrimination and increase tolerance.

Abstract

The aim to be achieved through this tennis tool socialization activity is to provide insight for teachers in preparing learning media, especially for tennis subjects, and also for students with the tools to motivate students to do more, and no less important, the learning process does not cause boredom. for students to perform punching movements. The targets of this activity are teachers and students at SMP N 1 Segedong. This dedication will be carried out in September 2023. The tennis aids have been made and are ready to be used on the court. The final result is that it is hoped that with the socialization of the tennis stone tool, it can improve the results of good tennis shots, both forhend and backhand, in students. Meanwhile, for teachers, it is hoped that it can become an innovative alternative learning media so that it can motivate students to learn.
