Emotion dysregulation is a problem that occurs in any or all emotion regulation abilities. The occurrence of emotion dysregulation can lead to various mental health problems. This study aims to describe the level of emotion dysregulation of students who are victims of bullying in junior high school and its implications for counseling interventions. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The sampling technique used convenience sampling technique with a total research sample of 108 junior high school students. Data collection was carried out through the Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale Short Form (DERS-SF) instrument, while data analysis techniques used descriptive statistics. The category is high in emotion dysregulation if X ≥ 54, while the category is low in emotion dysregulation if X < 54. The results of the analysis on students who are victims of bullying show that 41 students (37.96%) have a high level of emotion dysregulation and 67 students (62.04%) have a low level of emotion dysregulation. Based on the results of this analysis, it is found that the majority of the level of emotional dysregulation of students who are victims of bullying at one private junior high school in East Jakarta is in the low category. However, there are still many students who are victims of bullying in junior high schools who have high levels of emotional dysregulation, so efforts to reduce the emotional dysregulation of students who are victims of bullying in junior high schools are very important for guidance and counseling teachers to do. One of the effective counseling interventions used is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-efficacy of counselors in the implementation of individual counseling services in schools, as well as identify factors that affect the success and failure in counseling practice. The self-efficacy of counselors is an important aspect that determines the quality of intervention and success in helping students overcome their problems. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through open questionnaires and narrative analysis of the experiences of secondary school counselors. The results showed that the self-efficacy of counselors was closely correlated with the mastery of basic counseling skills, such as building empathic relationships, using appropriate techniques, and the ability to read students' psychological dynamics. The success of individual counseling is characterized by positive changes in student behavior, increased self-confidence, and intrapersonal and interpersonal conflict resolution. Meanwhile, the failure of counseling services is largely caused by low self-efficacy, lack of environmental support, inappropriate approaches, and difficulties in establishing therapeutic relationships. This study recommends the need for continuous training, reflective supervision, and experience-based professional development to strengthen counselors' self-efficacy. These findings are expected to contribute to improving the quality of individual counseling services in the school environment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, reliable, and practical Google Form-based Personality Typology Instrument for students at SMP Negeri 3 Mapilli. The background of this study is based on the results of a needs analysis that shows the limitations of personality assessment instruments in schools and the low level of students' understanding of their personality types and learning styles. These conditions have an impact on students' difficulty in understanding lesson material and low level of learning independence. Therefore, a personality assessment instrument that is easy to use, efficient, and suitable for the characteristics of students in the digital era is needed. This study uses the research and development method. The development procedure includes the stages of needs analysis, planning, prototype instrument development, validation by subject matter experts and media experts, product revision, and practical testing. The test subjects involved students and homeroom teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Mapilli. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observation sheets, then analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The results showed that the developed instrument had an excellent level of validity, with an average expert validation percentage of 85 percent, placing it in the highly valid category. The practicality test showed high results, with an achievement percentage between 80 and 99 percent, which falls into the practical to highly practical category. These findings indicate that the instrument is easy to use and accepted by users. Thus, the Google Form-based Personality Typology Instrument is declared suitable for use as a student personality assessment tool to support more effective, adaptive, and individual-oriented learning.

Abstract

This article explores religion as a fundamental human need that transcends formal belief systems, encompassing philosophical, psychological, sociological, and transcendental dimensions. Employing a qualitative and analytical literature-based approach, the study examines primary and secondary sources relevant to the nature and role of religion in human life. The findings reveal that philosophically, religion provides meaning and moral direction beyond rational comprehension; psychologically, it fosters emotional balance and inner peace; sociologically, it strengthens social solidarity and interpersonal harmony; and transcendently, it connects human beings to God as the ultimate source of value and purpose. In the modern era, characterized by secularism and moral uncertainty, religion remains profoundly relevant as an ethical and spiritual compass guiding humanity toward existential balance and sustainable human flourishing.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of interpersonal communication skills in students' social lives, especially at SMA N 1 Jepara, where some students still experience communication difficulties due to low self-confidence, nervousness, and a tendency to withdraw from social interactions. These problems are closely related to parenting styles and self-confidence development. This study aims to describe the implementation and effectiveness of group guidance services using sociodrama techniques to improve students' interpersonal communication skills. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of a non-equivalent control group type. The study participants were students from class X1.1 of SMA N 1 Jepara, who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through Likert scale questionnaires and interviews, while data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results of the study indicate that group guidance services using sociodrama techniques are effective in improving students' interpersonal communication skills. Through role-playing and dramatization of real social situations, students become more open, empathetic, and confident in expressing their thoughts and engaging in interactions. Therefore, sociodrama can be considered an effective alternative technique in group guidance to develop students' interpersonal communication skills.

Abstract

Individuals with feelings of inferiority tend to mask their shortcomings due to a lack of self-realization, which impacts various aspects of life such as career, social relationships, and mental health. Based on the results of observations and interviews with BK teachers of SMP Negeri 3 Jekulo Kudus, it was found that students showed symptoms of inferiority such as withdrawal, indifference, envy, and feeling uncomfortable when working in a group. This study uses a case study method in AB students of grade VIII E with an individual counseling approach using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), specifically the Cognitive Restructuring technique  to correct cognitive distortions that affect the counselor's negative beliefs. Data was collected through interviews with BK teachers and counselors, as well as direct observations at school. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the study show that the factors that cause the inferiority of AB students come from internal factors such as negative mindsets, feelings of inferiority, and difficulty interacting, as well as external factors in the form of lack of family support and social pressure. CBT interventions have been shown to be effective in helping ABs identify and change negative mindsets to be more adaptive. After the counseling process, AB showed significant improvements in self-confidence, social interaction skills, and emotional management.
