Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in enhancing teacher competencies to design learning objectives aligned with student needs at SMPN 2 Golewa. The research utilized the School Action Research method, conducted in three cycles. The subjects consisted of 10 teachers requiring support in designing differentiated learning objectives. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings revealed significant improvements in the quality of lesson plans (RPP), average student evaluation scores, and student participation. The quality of lesson plans increased from an average score of 2.9 in the pre-cycle to 4.2 in the second cycle. Average student evaluation scores rose from 65.3 to 78.4, while student participation improved from 57% to 76.5%. Principal support through training, supervision, and reflection proved effective in enhancing teachers’ ability to design learning aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum. This study recommends regular training, teacher collaboration, and continuous monitoring to support teacher professional development. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for implementing school leadership that fosters differentiated learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the understanding of algebraic concepts among 8th-grade students through the discussion method. The research subjects were 30 students of SMPN Satap 3 Wolomeze. This classroom action research consisted of three cycles, each including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed an increase in students' average scores from 60 (pre-cycle) to 85 (cycle 2). Student engagement also improved from 40% to 85%. The discussion method proved effective in enhancing the understanding of algebraic concepts, particularly in linear equations and factorization.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the understanding and capabilities of teachers at SMPN Satu Atap 3 Jerebuu in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on analyzing Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) into Tujuan Pembelajaran (TP), developing Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP), and establishing Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP). The method used is action research (PTS) with a cyclical approach consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. In the pre-cycle phase, it was found that teachers' understanding of the Merdeka Curriculum was still low, with an average questionnaire score of 2.0. The implementation of cycle 1 showed an improvement in understanding, but challenges in applying teaching practices remained. Subsequently, cycle 2 demonstrated significant progress, with the average questionnaire score increasing to 4.0, and teachers showed improved abilities in analyzing CP, developing ATP, and using more effective Kriteria Ketuntasan. Observations and interviews during cycle 2 revealed that teachers began to implement differentiated learning and project-based approaches more effectively, although challenges still needed to be addressed. This study recommends further training, practical support, and increased resources to better support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the psychological factors that affect speaking ability in Arabic among Arabic Language Education students at UIN Sumatera Utara (UIN SU). Dominant psychological factors include language anxiety, motivation, self-efficacy, and self-confidence. Language anxiety serves as a major barrier to speaking due to fear of negative judgment. Meanwhile, high intrinsic and extrinsic motivation plays a significant role in encouraging students to be more active in practicing. High self-efficacy helps students feel more confident in their abilities even when making mistakes, while strong self-confidence provides encouragement to not fear making errors. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and literature analysis. The results of the study indicate that language anxiety hinders students' speaking ability, while high motivation and self-efficacy enhance their self-confidence and speaking skills. This study suggests the importance of applying teaching strategies that consider psychological factors and create a supportive environment to improve Arabic speaking skills among students.

Abstract

Learning in educational institutions today can be said to lack effectiveness. This is certainly there are things that hinder, both from within the educational institution or from outside the educational institution. This research aims to describe how effective learning actually is, and what are the roles of stakeholders in achieving effective learning. This research includes qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The theory that the author uses is the theory of Phenomenology, which this theory tries to look more at the phenomena that occur in an educational institution. The conclusions of this study are: (1). Effective learning is learning that prioritizes Akhlaq, Local Value-Based Learning, and Humanist Learning. (2). Among the roles of stakeholders in realizing effective learning are: Being a good Leadershep Good Leaders, Planning Innovative Strategies, and Implementing Programs to the Maximum.

Abstract

This article reviews the importance of optimizing literacy and numeracy at elementary school level through the application of multisensory methods. Numeracy literacy is a very important aspect of basic skills for students, not only for academic success, but also for developing life skills in the digital and globalization era. This library research research method is often used in theoretical research, literature studies, or research that does not require collecting primary data through experiments or direct observation. Multisensory methods, which integrate various sensory channels such as visual, auditory and kinesthetic, have proven effective in supporting students to understand material more deeply and have fun. This approach can increase students' motivation and involvement in the learning process, as well as help them remember numeracy and literacy concepts better. This research shows that using a multisensory method approach, numeracy literacy learning in elementary schools can be more interesting and effective, providing a positive impact on students' cognitive development and problem solving abilities.

Abstract

In the digital era, major challenges arise from the rapid development of technology, which has a positive impact on easy access to information, but also provides negative aspects such as dependence on gadgets and exposure to inappropriate content. This affects the formation of students' character, which is vulnerable to the influence of foreign cultures and detrimental information. Therefore, character education needs to be improved, one of which is through learning Social Sciences (IPS) which has an important role in instilling moral and social values. This study uses a literature study method to explore various theories and practices in integrating digital technology in IPS learning to strengthen character education. The results of the study show that IPS learning can be optimized to shape character through the integration of values ​​such as responsibility, discipline, cooperation, and respect for diversity, both inside and outside the classroom. Instilling character values ​​through IPS is expected to produce a young generation who are not only academically intelligent, but also have a strong character to face challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Indonesia as an agricultural country has long been trying to achieve rice self-sufficiency to meet domestic food needs. However, although various policies and programs have been launched to support self-sufficiency, Indonesia still faces challenges that result in periodic rice imports. This study examines the main factors that cause dependence on rice imports, including limited agricultural land, climate change, inadequate irrigation infrastructure, and stagnant productivity at the farmer level. In addition, population growth and changes in consumption patterns have added pressure on domestic rice production. The analysis shows that successful self-sufficiency requires improvements in agricultural technology, infrastructure improvements, and policies that support sustainable farming. In conclusion, although Indonesia has great potential in rice production, the role of imports is still needed to balance fluctuations in domestic production and to ensure stable food security. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through access to Internet sites in the form of books, journals, and websites. According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), rice production in Indonesia has fluctuated due to several factors, such as the climate crisis, decreasing agricultural land and soil conditions, and access to irrigation. Rice production in the January-April 2024 period fell by 17.54% compared to the same period last year when it reached 22.55 million tons. Rice imports are a strategic step taken by the government to ensure the availability and stability of rice prices in Indonesia. Factors such as fluctuations in domestic production, high consumption needs, and efforts to maintain food reserves are the main reasons behind this decision. With a better understanding of the reasons and mechanisms of rice imports, it is hoped that the public can support this policy for the common good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning learning model through a material differentiation approach on the addition ability of grade 1 elementary school students at SDN Ngagelrejo I/396 Surabaya. The material differentiation approach is carried out by adjusting the level of difficulty of the addition material based on individual student abilities. This research used a quasi-experimental design with two groups, namely an experimental group that received learning using the PBL model and a material differentiation approach, and a control group that received conventional learning. The research subjects were grade 1 students at SDN Ngagelrejo I/396 Surabaya. Data was collected through addition ability tests before and after treatment. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference between the addition abilities of students in the experimental group and the control group. The PBL model with a material differentiation approach has proven to be effective in improving the addition ability of grade 1 elementary school students at SDN Ngagelrejo I/396 Surabaya. This research recommends the use of the PBL model with a material differentiation approach in mathematics learning in elementary schools, especially at SDN Ngagelrejo I/396 Surabaya.

Abstract

In this digital era, various information can be accessed through digital media. For example, in the world of education, digital technology is used as a means to support the learning process in schools so that learning is more innovative and creative so that students are interested in always learning. This study aims to ensure that learning in schools, especially elementary schools, can learn and utilize digital technology properly so that they can create interactive learning and leave behind the tradition of using outdated methods or media. The process of compiling this research article uses a literature review method, which aims to analyze and synthesize information from several literature sources that are in accordance with the topic being discussed. The results of the literature review state that by utilizing digital technology, students can easily increase their interest and learning outcomes so that an interactive learning atmosphere can be easily created.
