Abstract

Preparing guidance and counseling programs is one form of management activity, management is all activities that lead to goals and achievement by paying attention to quality. The aim of this research is to find out in depth about the preparation of guidance and counseling programs. The method used in this research is qualitative with a literature study type. Literature study is an activity that includes searching, reviewing, reading literature in the form of journals and books and other sources that are relevant to the research to be carried out. The findings of this research discuss: (1) Understanding the preparation of a guidance and counseling program, (2) Types of guidance and counseling at school, (3) Components of preparing a guidance and counseling program, (4) Stages of preparing a guidance and counseling program.

Abstract

Sunetra Gupta’s debut novel, Memories of Rain, explores the complexities of cultural dislocation and the lingering effects of colonialism through Moni, a Bengali woman who migrates to England. This essay examines Moni’s struggle to forge an identity amidst conflicting emotions and a fractured sense of belonging. It analyzes how her romanticized view of England, shaped by English literature, collides with the harsh realities of life as an immigrant, ultimately leading to her disillusionment and return to Calcutta.  This article draws on critical scholarship to explore themes of “colonized otherness,” memory, nostalgia, and the search for a hyphenated identity. Moni’s journey reflects the challenges of navigating cultural clashes, betrayal, and the enduring power dynamics between colonizer and colonized. The analysis reveals how Gupta utilizes literary elements and the power of memory to portray Moni’s search for self-discovery and reclamation of her Bengali heritage.

Abstract

Developing students' character and personality is the main goal of education that requires special attention. This is becoming increasingly important in the era of globalization and digitalization which brings great challenges in maintaining moral and social values ​​among the younger generation. The basics of education, which include philosophical, psychological, sociological and cultural foundations, have a significant role in forming students' characters with integrity, empathy and discipline. This article aims to analyze the role of each educational foundation in supporting the formation of students' character as a whole and in depth. Using a descriptive qualitative research method through literature study, this research examines the contribution of each foundation comprehensively. The research results show that the philosophical foundation provides guidance on the basic values ​​and principles that students must have; psychological foundations help adapt educational approaches to the mental and emotional development of students; sociological foundations of creating a positive and supportive social environment; and cultural foundations strengthen local cultural identity in students. This article contributes to providing an integrative, holistic approach to character education, especially in Indonesia, with the hope of providing richer insight for educators in designing effective learning strategies in developing students' character and personality in accordance with local and national values.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information about the learning creativity of students of SMK Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe in the subject of motorcycle engine maintenance using the teaching factory learning model. This study was conducted at SMK Negeri 7 Lhokseumawe. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach using 2 samples, namely class XII TSM-1 as the experimental class and class XII TSM-2 as the control class, where the samples taken in this study used a purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire in the form of a statement given after learning the teaching factory model in the experiment. Data analysis was carried out using a non-parametric test. Based on the results of the questionnaire on students' learning creativity abilities, the average value of the experimental class was 144.31 with a standard deviation of 11.068 and the average value of the control class was 127.47 with a standard deviation of 10.834. Based on the criteria of the non-parametric test if the significant value is <0.05 then H0 is rejected. The results of the Mann Whitney test with a significant value of <0.05 on the experimental class value obtained an Asymp.sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.001, which means that the teaching factory learning model has a positive effect on students' learning creativity abilities in the subject of motorcycle engine maintenance.

Abstract

This research discusses the transformation of the education system in India with a focus on the profile, goals, management, Islamic education and global challenges. The background is India's economic and social development which requires a quality education system. This study aims to analyze the Indian education system and identify the challenges faced. The methods used are literature studies and theoretical analysis with reference to the theory of modernization, inclusion and technology-based learning. The results show that the Indian education system has a structured structure, but still faces educational gaps, uneven quality of education and limited use of technology. Islamic education also faces challenges. This research has implications for the development of the education system in India, especially improving access and quality of education, as well as integrating environmental education in the curriculum. These results can be a reference for the government, educators and researchers to develop a quality education system that is relevant to the needs of society. This research contributes to the understanding of the Indian education system and the development of strategies to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the influence of principals' transformational leadership in promoting learning innovation in primary schools. Transformational leadership, which involves motivating, professional development and empowering teachers, is considered to create an environment that supports innovation in learning. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies in several primary schools. The results show that principals who apply transformational leadership play an important role in encouraging teachers to innovate in developing learning methods. In addition, principals are also able to build close collaboration between teachers, creating a community that supports each other in an effort to improve the quality of learning. In practice, effective principals are able to overcome challenges in implementing learning innovations, despite resistance to change and limited resources. This research shows that transformational leadership not only impacts on teacher motivation and engagement, but also on improving student learning outcomes. The findings provide a strong basis for the development of transformational leadership in primary schools and its relevance in the evolving educational context. Further research is expected to explore more deeply the external factors that influence the successful implementation of innovations, such as education policy and community support.

Abstract

The optimization of digital media in 21st-century learning offers an innovative approach that is more flexible, personalized, and inclusive. This study explores the role of digital media in improving the quality of learning through five key aspects: flexibility and personalization, enhanced collaboration, data-driven learning, real-time evaluation, and inclusivity. Digital media enables students to learn at their own pace and style, expands interactions through virtual platforms, provides immediate feedback, and ensures equal access for students with special needs or from remote areas. The findings reveal that digital media can create a dynamic and responsive learning ecosystem, though its implementation requires adequate infrastructure and supportive educational policies. With effective optimization, digital technology can realize learning that is globally relevant, inclusive, and future-oriented.

Abstract

UPTD SDN Demangan 1 Bangkalan initiated the "Athlete Achievement Class" program to support the development of sports talented students while maintaining academic achievement. This program integrates intensive training, especially swimming, with academic learning to create a balance in students' physical and intellectual development. This study explores the process of identifying student talents, targeted coaching strategies, and evaluating program success. The results show that this program has succeeded in producing outstanding national and international athletes as well as building strong and disciplined student characters. Even though there are challenges such as limited facilities, synergy between schools, government and external sports clubs is the key to program sustainability. Recommendations include improving facilities, coordination, and expanding coaching to make this program an optimal integrative educational model.

Abstract

Character building of students is one of the main goals in education, especially in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. Integration of constructivism theory in PAI learning is one of the relevant approaches to achieve this goal. Constructivism emphasizes the active role of students in building understanding through social interaction, direct experience, and critical reflection. This study aims to explore how the application of constructivism theory can help shape the character of grade XI high school students in phase F. Using qualitative methods, this study analyzes the planning, implementation, and evaluation of constructivism-based PAI learning. The results of the study indicate that the constructivist approach encourages students to participate actively, think critically, and understand religious values ​​more deeply. This learning process has also proven effective in building positive character in students, such as responsibility, tolerance, and honesty. Integration of constructivism theory in PAI learning has great potential to support sustainable character education that is relevant to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Cultural heritage in West Sumatra, one of which is located in the Pesisir Selatan Regency, Nagari Lunang which has high socio-cultural and historical value, namely Rumah Gadang Mande Rubiah. Not only does it function as a traditional building but Rumah Gadang is also the center of deliberations between grandfather, penghulu, ninik mamak, alim ulama and cadiak pandai who are there, and also various traditions and cultures that exist in Rumah Gadang, such as batagak panghulu, manjalang Rumah Gadang mande rubiah, bathing balimau, and also marriage events. In addition, Rumah Gadang also holds a large collection of heirloom krises, tambo, coins / papers, garuda bird eggs, typical Minangkabau carvings. Therefore it is important for the community and mande rubiah to preserve the Rumah Gadang and maintain cultural identity and also as a source of learning for young generations. Rumah Gadang has important potential, so it must be preserved and the characteristics of the Gadang House, in order to maintain cultural identity and as a source for the next generation. This study reviews what traditions are carried out, Rumah Gadang Mande Rubiah, and the reasons why the preservation of Rumah Gadang is important. In writing this article, the method used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, by first collecting study materials related to the importance of cultural preservation at Mande Rubiah's Gadang House, both in the form of books, articles, and other sources.
