Abstract

This study evaluates the feasibility of the interactive PowerPoint media *Profil Pelajar Pancasila* for 5th-grade elementary school students. Using the Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) model, data were collected through surveys, interviews, questionnaires, and validation sheets, analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Media expert validation scored 92, averaging 4.84 (96.84%, "Highly Feasible"). Material expert validation scored 49, averaging 4.08 (81.67%, "Highly Feasible"). Student feedback showed 68% (17 students) rated the media as "Highly Feasible" with scores above 80%, while 32% (8 students) rated it "Feasible," with scores from 61.33% to 78.67%. The overall score was 1609, with an average percentage of 85.71%, categorized as "Highly Feasible." Teachers gave similarly positive evaluations. Teacher 1 scored 81 (95.29%), and Teacher 2 scored 69 (81.18%), both rated as "Highly Feasible." In conclusion, the interactive PowerPoint media *Profil Pelajar Pancasila* is deemed "Highly Feasible" by media and material experts, students, and teachers, proving its effectiveness and suitability for elementary education.Keywords: PowerPoint, Interactive Media, Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

The research aims to examine the effectiveness of the STEM-based approach in 21st-century mathematics learning. The STEM-based approach integrates four main disciplines science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into the learning process to enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The STEM approach is highly relevant to developing 21st-century competencies in mathematics education as both focus on the skills required to address complex and dynamic global challenges, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, collaboration, and digital literacy. The research method employed is a literature review, analyzing relevant theories and previous studies on the topic. The results indicate that the STEM approach can improve the effectiveness of 21st-century mathematics learning, such as enhancing students' technological development skills, analytical abilities, creativity, innovation, and the ability to express ideas and formulate problems. The STEM approach also stimulates students to meet the demands of 21st-century mathematics learning, which emphasizes critical and problem-solving skills leading to critical, creative, lateral, and systemic thinking abilities.

Abstract

The education system in Brunei Darussalam has a clear structure and supports sustainable human resource development. Education in Brunei includes preschool, primary, secondary and higher education levels which are managed by the Ministry of Education. This system provides free education for citizens and aims to improve the quality of the young generation so they can compete globally. The curriculum in Brunei has developed along with the demands of the times, emphasizing a balance between academics, life skills and character development. Educational programs also include technical and vocational education to prepare students to enter the world of work. Educational policies are designed to improve teaching quality, innovation, and technology integration. However, the education system in Brunei still faces a number of challenges such as modernizing infrastructure, increasing teacher competency, and adapting to global changes. The government continues to carry out reforms to address these challenges, with the hope of creating a superior and sustainable education system.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in school learning practices in Indonesia. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to give educators the freedom to develop learning methods that suit students' needs, but its implementation faces various challenges. This research uses a literature review method by collecting data from various sources, such as journals, books and official documents. The research results show that the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has a positive impact on learning flexibility and student character development. However, there are still obstacles such as teacher readiness, limited infrastructure, and lack of comprehensive training. To increase the effectiveness of this curriculum, a holistic approach is needed, such as increasing teacher competency, optimizing infrastructure, and integrating technology in learning. With proper evaluation, the Independent Curriculum can be a relevant solution to improve the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

In this case,the researcher discusses the use of Pulut Balai in every Malay traditional tradition in Asahan, the meaning of Pulut Balai, as well as the dynamics of changes in the form and meaning of Pulut Balai from 1980-present. This research uses an antropological approach, namely a way to understand a groupand human culture and their development. The method used to collect data in this research is a qualitative research method combining literature review and filed observation. The findings obtined from this research are, Pulut Balai is a continer for placing pulut used by the Malay community in various Malay traditions. Pulut Balai is a symbol of greatnes and the pride of the Malay tribe. Pulut Balai is used by the Malay community in Asahan for various tradition and has different meanings in each tradition. At the Upah-upah wedding and circumcision event, Pulut Balai is interpreted as a unification and hope for the family, at the Upah-upah Songgot Pulut Balai event it is interpreted as a symbol of the spirit and prayers of the person being singed, in the Pulut Balai Al-Qur'an Reading event, it is interpreted as a symbol of gratitude to Allah for the ability to read the Al-Qur'an, Meanwhile, the Upah-upah Berhaj/Umrah event means gratitude to Allah for the abundance of good fortune so that you can perform the Hajj or Umrah. However, as time progresses, Pulut Balai also experiences dynamics in form which influences its meaning. The Malay people pay less attention to the meaning elements of Pulut Balai, namely by modifying the appearance of Pulut Balai excessively, thus changing its appearance and meaning.

Abstract

Character education can instill character values ​​in students as a foundation for forming a quality generation that is able to live independently in everyday life. The problems at SD Negeri Kedangan 2 do not only cover classroom learning activities, but also extracurricular activities that play an important role in character development and support school culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Independent Curriculum at SD Negeri Kedangan 2. The BKP independent internship activity will be carried out individually and will start on September 2, 2024 to November 29, 2024. The independent internship activity at SD Negeri Kedangan 2 begins with an initial orientation where interns get to know the school environment, learn the organizational structure, and get information about: Study programs are introduced. The implementation of the MBKM Mandiri internship program at SDN Kedangan 2 provides a very valuable experience for both students and schools. The educational and extracurricular activities carried out make a positive contribution to the development of students' academic and personal skills. Innovative programs such as literacy visits, greening, and anti-bullying programs create a friendlier learning environment and support the goals of the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This research examines the role of local wisdom in preserving the Batak Toba ulos cloth as heritage and culture. The purpose of this study is to describe the values of local wisdom embedded in the Batak Toba ulos. The theory of local wisdom proposed by Robert Sibarani is used as the basis for data analysis. The data collection method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, and data is gathered through a literature review of various journals related to the topic. The preservation of the ulos cloth as a cultural heritage of the Batak Toba is greatly aided by local wisdom. Ulos is a symbol of tradition, identity, and values for the Batak people, beyond being just a fabric. Local wisdom helps maintain and pass down this cultural heritage through traditional weaving practices and the use of ulos in various traditional ceremonies. Therefore, ulos is one of Indonesia's cultural legacies that must be preserved, as it is a high-quality product of creative thought. The sacred value of ulos reflects the spirituality of the Batak people. Each ulos establishes a connection between the maker and the recipient. For an individual, ulos is a fabric that warms the body, but for the community, ulos has a symbolic role in various aspects of life. In addition to producing high-quality ulos, the ulos fabric should be kept in a clean and comfortable place, and it should be displayed properly so that visitors may become customers. Ulos is used in various traditional ceremonies as a symbol of identity, a form of respect, a gesture of affection, and a unifying bond.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of grade 1 elementary school students in learning. The method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive study design. The research uses data collection techniques with direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The research location is at SD IT Al-Hijrah 2, Jl. Perangkaan, Deli Serdangn, with the research subjects involving grade 1 elementary school children and also grade 1 teachers. Based on the results of the research obtained, significant physical development, which at their age has experienced increased weight growth, experienced milk teeth change and height growth. The intellectual development of the child begins to show their logical thinking ability and understand other people's points of view. Emotional and social development can be seen when they can receive and understand the advice or input given by the teacher, such as at school. Furthermore, related to children's moral development, including understanding the rules in the classroom, the rules of making friends, communicating with teachers and they understand the consequences of their actions.

Abstract

Organization is one thing that cannot be separated from the scope of Islamic Education. This study aims to identify the organization in Islamic education plays a very important role in creating an efficient and effective system to achieve the desired educational goals. This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach, where data is obtained through documentation sourced from scientific journals and relevant books that discuss the organization and management of Islamic education. To analyze the data, content analysis techniques are used. The results of the study indicate that organization in Islamic education has a very important role in achieving better educational goals. A clear organizational structure, proper division of tasks, and good coordination between elements in educational institutions can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the educational process in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The importance of character education in developing students' personalities is the background of this study. Family support is a major variable that influences character education. Strong family values ​​are considered to strengthen the good character qualities that students learn during school. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of family support on students' character education. This study used a quantitative survey-based methodology. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 102 students. Supporting papers and literature were found by searching for scientific articles in scientific databases such as Publish or Perish and Google Scholar. The findings of the study indicate a strong and beneficial influence between students' character education and family support. This suggests that students' character development is positively correlated with family support.
