Abstract

Technical problems in the digital photography era have now beenovercome by the sophistication of cameras. The problem thattechnology cannot solve is the composition of the image.Composition is a skill that requires an understanding ofphotographic objects, visual elements, and artistic experience.Composition is related to the placement of objects and how to build aflow of view in viewing photos that have an impact on the impressionof the photo. The decision to press the camera's shutter button is aconsideration of composition, and is not easily understood bystudents or beginners who are just learning photography. So thatwith knowledge of the composition of this golden section, photographers can produce more optimal work. Careful at everyvisual element that exists, skilled in arranging objects so that bettervisuals are created. Super-sophisticated camera technology cannotsearch for objects on its own, therefore this research is offered. TheGolden Section Theory has been successfully applied to the field ofarchitecture in the 5th century BC and in the field of painting duringthe renessance era. In this study, the author tries to apply thisformula to determine the main object (center of attention) in a beachscene photo in Gunungkidul in 2: 3 image format or the defaultDSLR camera format.

Abstract

Screen printing is one of the printing techniques in graphic design. In general, the materials used in the screen-printing process are screen and rubber. Where from these two materials in the end the design in the form of a film can be transformed into the media to be screened. The popular rubber used today is rubber mixed with chemical dyes. Where these chemicals are not environmentally friendly, it is necessary to explore the use of natural-based dyes from plants as dyes for screen-printing rubber. This research is an experimental study conducted to determine the potential use of natural materials as dyes for water-based rubber screen-printing on printing media such as fabric. The research method used is experiment method. The result of the experiment is several plants can be extracted as a dye, but has a light color that not expectected and also can implanted on canvas fabric but with color didn’t match as expected.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has natural diversity, including unique animals. One of the islands of Indonesia that has such unique animals is Java Island. Java Island is an island that has rapid urban development and also has a unique diversity of animals. However, there are still many children who are not familiar with animals, especially endemic animals of Java Island, and the cause of these animals being threatened with extinction. In designing this board game using a method that has been adapted from the Game Design Process by Game Design Ed with data analysis conducting interviews with children from the age of 7 to 11 years to find out what board games have been played by children and the children's knowledge about Java endemic animals. The rules of the game in the design of the board game were adapted from the Pandemic board game by Matt Leacock and the Quartet card game by Gurubumi. With educational board games, it is hoped that children can discover and learn to understand the continuance of Java Endemic Animals that are threatened with extinction.

Abstract

The existence of Pekalongan batik has no doubt about its existence where the characteristics or characters on the motif have a strong image, but some classic batik motifs are more identical with adults. So this design aims to develop contemporary batik motifs adapted from the Pekalongan City logo but still suitable for young people. The use of the Pekalongan City logo itself means that there is still no motif adapted from the ornament on the logo. This design was compiled using the theoretical method of the creative art creation process from Gustami which has three stages. The first is the exploration process, which is the idea-searching stage, followed by collecting and searching for data about the meaning of the Pekalongan City logo. The second process of designing works, generating ideas and ideas are obtained from the brainstorming process. The third embodiment process, including the final design and mockup. The results of the design development in the form of designs can be applied to fabrics, masks, tote bags, and pillowcases that have been adapted to the target audience. Through the results of batik motifs is a first step to invite people to know, love, and preserve the traditions of our nation.
