Abstract

Source code plagiarism has become a recurring issue in higher education, particularly in programming-related courses where students may copy portions or entire segments of source code from their peers. This situation creates challenges for lecturers in evaluating the originality of student assignments, especially when dealing with a large number of submissions within limited time constraints. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop a web-based source code plagiarism detection application using the Rabin–Karp algorithm to identify and measure the similarity level between programming code documents. The research employed a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and literature review, while system development followed the Agile methodology. The developed application was tested using source code files written in C++, Java, and Python programming languages. Black-box testing demonstrated that all system functions operated successfully, including file uploading, preprocessing, tokenization, rolling hash generation, fingerprint matching, and similarity calculation. The validity testing results showed similarity percentages ranging from 2.81%–62.70% for C++ files, 17.26%–54.49% for Java files, and 6.35%–34.89% for Python files. These findings indicate that the application can effectively detect similarities between source code documents and support lecturers in identifying potential plagiarism cases. Furthermore, the Rabin–Karp algorithm proved capable of performing similarity analysis efficiently across multiple programming languages with relatively fast processing time.

Abstract

Manual administration in MSME laundry businesses is a primary source of operational inefficiency, generating service bottlenecks and a high risk of human error. High-mobility customers are hindered by slow manual record-keeping, the absence of order status transparency, and the lack of digital payment options. This study aims to design and develop an Android-based laundry application incorporating a Drop and Go system to fully automate and eliminate these administrative barriers. The system integrates a self-service booking feature, QR Code scanning for instant drop-off confirmation, and the Midtrans payment gateway for cashless transactions. The application was developed using the Flutter framework and Node.js, following the Waterfall methodology. Black-box testing on 10 Customer Application scenarios and 14 Outlet Application scenarios yielded a successful status for all functionalities. System Usability Scale (SUS) evaluation produced an average score of 75 (Good) for the Customer Application and 85 (Excellent) for the Outlet Application, demonstrating that the system is viable for implementation as a modernization solution for MSME laundry operations.

Abstract

Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) is a cereal crop that has the potential to be developed as an alternative food source because it is adaptive to suboptimal land. The main obstacle in its development is the management of soil fertility, especially the fulfillment of nutrients nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). A combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers is necessary to sustainably increase growth and production. This study aims to analyze the influence of chicken manure and NPK fertilizer and their interaction on the growth and production of sorghum. This study used a two-factorial Group Random Design (RAK) with three replicas. The first factor was chicken manure (control, 5 kg, and 10 kg), and the second factor was NPK fertilizer 16:16:16 (control, 1 g, and 2 g). The parameters observed included plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, panicle length, seed weight per plant, seed weight per plot, and weight of 100 seeds. The data was analyzed using Minitab version 22 through the General Linear Model (GLM) and the Tukey test at the level of 5%. The results of the study showed that the application of chicken manure, NPK fertilizer, and their interactions had a real effect on the growth and production of sorghum. The combination of K1N1 provided the highest response on most parameters, K2N1 occupied the second-highest position with a relatively stable growth response and yield, and K2N2 excelled at a weight of 100 seeds.

Abstract

The increasing need for innovative approaches in cultural preservation has encouraged the use of documentary films as effective media for communicating indigenous knowledge and traditions. This study aims to examine the production management of the cultural documentary film Belajar dari Tanah Adat Baduy and evaluate the implementation of audio spatialization techniques using BandLab in enhancing audience experience. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature review during the pre-production, production, and post-production stages conducted in Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, Banten. Production management was analyzed using the POAC framework (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling), while production performance was evaluated using the VRIO framework (Value, Rarity, Imitability, and Organization). The findings indicate that documentary production was characterized by dynamic managerial adjustments, including schedule changes, role overlap, and field adaptations resulting from technical limitations and cultural considerations. The application of audio spatialization through stereo panning manipulation in BandLab successfully enhanced the sense of spatial depth and immersion despite resource constraints. VRIO analysis demonstrates that the documentary possesses educational and cultural value, a distinctive audio-production approach, and effective resource organization, although its technical features remain relatively easy to replicate. The study concludes that accessible digital platforms such as BandLab can support innovative audio production in cultural documentary filmmaking while enabling effective management of limited resources in indigenous cultural documentation.

Abstract

The escalation of global economic uncertainty driven by financial crises, geopolitical tensions, and monetary policy tightening has reignited debates regarding the role of gold as a value-preserving asset within the global financial system. Although prior studies have extensively examined gold as a hedging instrument and safe haven asset, empirical evidence concerning its ability to function as a systemic safe haven particularly under conditions of extreme risk, crisis regime dynamics, and cross-market interconnectedness remains limited and inconclusive, especially within G20 countries characterized by high levels of financial integration. This study aims to investigate whether gold serves as a systemic safe haven during periods of global economic uncertainty by emphasizing the dimensions of tail risk, crisis regimes, and risk transmission across financial markets. The study employs monthly panel data from G20 countries over the period 2000–2024 obtained from open-access databases, including global gold prices, the Global Economic Policy Uncertainty (GEPU) Index, the Volatility Index (VIX), global financial stress indicators, exchange rates, stock market indices, and government bond yields. To capture nonlinear relationships and extreme dependence structures, this research adopts advanced econometric approaches combining Markov-Switching Quantile Vector Autoregression and connectedness analysis. The empirical findings reveal that gold significantly functions as a systemic safe haven at the lower quantiles of financial market return distributions, particularly during periods of crisis and heightened uncertainty. Furthermore, gold tends to act as a shock absorber within cross-market connectedness networks, thereby contributing to the stability of financial systems across G20 countries. These findings enrich the existing literature by offering a systemic safe haven perspective and provide important policy implications for monetary authorities and foreign reserve managers in designing global financial resilience strategies.

Abstract

Human resources are a company’s most important asset, particularly a highly skilled workforce capable of adapting to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The concept of the Fourth Industrial Revolution emphasizes the importance of a systematic approach to human resource management from recruitment and development to employee retention to achieve optimal productivity in the future. To this end, this study was conducted to analyze the influence of talent management, the Kaizen program, and work culture on employee productivity in the Servo Motor Department at PT Denso Manufacturing Indonesia. This is a quantitative study where the sample was selected using probability sampling, specifically random sampling. The population for this study consisted of 164 individuals, with a sample of 116 respondents. The results of this study indicate that through multiple linear regression analysis, it was found that talent management significantly increases employee productivity with a beta coefficient of 0.607 (p < 0.05). Work culture also contributes positively to productivity with a beta coefficient of 0.330 (p < 0.05). However, the Kaizen program did not show a significant effect on productivity (p = 0.065). Collectively, these three variables explain 80.5% of the variation in employee productivity (Adjusted R² = 0.805). This study recommends that PT Denso Manufacturing Indonesia strengthen the implementation of talent management and workplace culture to boost productivity, while improving the implementation of the Kaizen program to make it more effective.

Abstract

The fulfillment of children's civil rights and freedoms as part of Cluster I of the Child-Friendly Regency (KLA) policy requires the involvement of multiple stakeholders through collaborative governance. However, Bogor Regency continues to face several challenges, including the low ownership rate of Child Identity Cards (KIA), disparities in birth certificate and KIA ownership across districts, limited availability of child-friendly information facilities, and uneven child participation through Child Forums. Although various coordination forums and KLA institutional mechanisms have been established, the achievement of children's civil rights and freedoms remains uneven across regions. This condition indicates a gap between the collaborative governance framework that has been formally established and its implementation in practice. This study aims to analyze collaborative governance in strengthening children's civil rights and freedoms in Bogor Regency using a qualitative approach and the collaborative governance framework developed by Ansell and Gash, consisting of starting conditions, institutional design, facilitative leadership, and collaborative process. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and secondary data analysis. The findings reveal that collaborative governance has been implemented but remains largely at a coordinative stage and has not yet evolved into an integrative and deliberative form of cross-sector collaboration. The study concludes that strengthening children's civil rights and freedoms in Bogor Regency requires more integrative, participatory, and sustainable collaborative governance mechanisms.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the gap between the normative design of Presidential Regulation Number 51 of 2022 and BPIP Regulation Number 3 of 2022 and the implementation of the National Flag Hoisting Troop Program (Paskibraka), including overlapping authority among selection assessors, limitations of the Transparency Application, unequal access for participants from island regions, and the suboptimal follow-up development of Purnapaskibraka Pancasila Ambassador members. The research problem addressed is how to evaluate the policy implementation of the Paskibraka Program at the provincial level in the Special Capital Region of Jakarta. This study employed a qualitative approach within a post-positivist paradigm using a case study method. The evaluation was analyzed using William N. Dunn’s (2018) six evaluation criteria: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, responsiveness, and appropriateness. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with nine informants selected through purposive sampling from BPIP, the provincial organizing committee, and Purnapaskibraka Pancasila Ambassadors, complemented by document studies. The data were then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña (2014) through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the policy has not been implemented optimally. Effectiveness was achieved only in the formation stage and the execution of flag-hoisting duties, while the four subsequent sub-programs have not yet been implemented. Efficiency has not been achieved because the budget is concentrated on the first two sub-programs, whereas the remaining three follow-up sub-programs receive no allocation. Adequacy and equity have not been fulfilled due to unequal participant access in the Administrative Regency of the Thousand Islands, while responsiveness and appropriateness have only been partially achieved. The study concludes that the policy requires revision regarding the technical regulation of the four follow-up sub-programs. It is recommended to revise Article 11 Paragraph (2) of Presidential Regulation Number 51 of 2022 and Article 21 Paragraph (2) of BPIP Regulation Number 3 of 2022, develop implementation and technical guidelines for the follow-up sub-programs, and incorporate monitoring and sustainability dimensions into the policy evaluation framework for Pancasila ideological development.

Abstract

Social media has become an important part of students' lives as a medium for communication, entertainment, and information seeking. This study aims to analyze social media usage patterns among university students using descriptive statistics and probability approaches. Data were collected through a survey of 30 students using Google Forms. The observed variables included gender, semester level, residence status, duration of social media usage, purpose of use, and Grade Point Average (GPA). The results showed that 76.67% of respondents were female and 50% were second-semester students. Furthermore, 63.33% of students used social media for more than eight hours per day, while entertainment was the primary purpose of use (50%). Probability analysis indicated that the likelihood of a student using social media for more than eight hours daily was 0.633. The findings suggest that social media has become a major necessity for students, requiring proper time management to avoid negative impacts on academic activities.
