Abstract

Hatch covers are vital components on the bulk carrier MV. Ocean Perkasa, functioning to maintain weathertightness to protect dry bulk cargo from damage. This study aims to determine the hatch cover maintenance system procedures and analyze their influence on the efficiency and smoothness of loading and discharging activities in port. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews with the Chief Officer, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that although maintenance followed the Planned Maintenance System (PMS), significant operational obstacles were still encountered. An incident involving a burst hydraulic jack pipe occurred on December 20, 2024, which caused a loading/discharging delay of 4–5 hours due to a failure in the hatch opening system. The primary causes were corrosion on the hydraulic connection pipes and dirty oil filter conditions, which triggered extreme pressure. The use of an Ultrasonic Tightness Tester proved to be more effective and accurate in detecting leaks early without damaging the cargo compared to conventional methods. In conclusion, disciplined preventive maintenance on the hydraulic system and tightness components is crucial to prevent financial losses due to demurrage penalties and to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel.

Abstract

Jaya Muncul Spare Parts Store still uses a manual recording system which often causes errors in stock management and delays in ordering. This study aims to design and build a web based inventory information system using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method to assist in decision making for ordering spare parts. The system was developed with the Laravel framework and MySQL database using an Agile approach that allows an iterative development process. Blackbox testing results show that all functions run well, while the User Acceptance Test (UAT) obtained an average score of 89.97% in the “very good” category. The implementation of the EOQ method is proven to help make purchasing decisions, reducing the risk of stockouts and overstock. Integration of the Reorder Point (ROP) feature as a minimum notification, Safety Stock, and prediction of prices, demand, and stock of goods with Simple Moving Average (SMA). This system is considered effective as a tool to determine the number of purchases of goods at Toko Sparepart Jaya Muncul.

Abstract

The precision component manufacturing industry faces a dual challenge in enhancing productivity while maintaining occupational safety, given that production processes involve machinery and high-risk activities. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing kaizen culture and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) on employee productivity, both partially and simultaneously, within the F-Line Department of PT XYZ Indonesia, a manufacturer of spinnerettes for the synthetic fiber industry. A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was applied to 64 respondents selected through saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire, transformed into interval scale data using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI), and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS version 25.0, following validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests—including normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity. The results indicate that kaizen culture has a positive and significant effect on employee productivity (t = 6.456; p = 0.000), as does OSH (t = 4.642; p = 0.000). Simultaneous testing reveals that both variables significantly affect employee productivity (F = 214.236; p = 0.000), with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.875, indicating that 87.5% of the variation in employee productivity is explained by these two variables. Kaizen culture demonstrates a relatively more dominant contribution than OSH. These findings suggest that kaizen culture and OSH are complementary in supporting operational performance. Accordingly, precision manufacturing companies are advised to integrate both programs synergistically—rather than as standalone initiatives—to optimize employee productivity while continuously mitigating the risk of workplace accidents.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the strategic plantation commodities that plays an important role in supporting rural economic development, particularly through farmer group–based enterprises and local agro-processing units. Indonesia, as one of the world’s major coffee-producing countries, has diverse coffee types, including Arabica, Robusta, and Liberica. Liberica coffee possesses unique characteristics, distinctive aroma, and strong adaptability to specific land conditions, making it a potential locally based flagship commodity. Coffee quality is not only influenced by cultivation practices but is also strongly determined by post-harvest processing methods that affect physical quality, aroma, and flavor. One widely applied post-harvest method among local coffee enterprises is the natural process (dry process), which involves drying whole coffee cherries without prior depulping and is known to enhance sweetness, fruity aroma, and body. This study was conducted at the Berkah Kopi Tapin farmer group, a local coffee processing unit located in Asam Randah Village, Hatungun District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan, which develops Liberica coffee as its main commodity alongside Robusta and Arabica. The research aims to analyze the role of coffee processing business management in supporting value addition of local coffee products, with particular emphasis on Liberica coffee development. A descriptive analytical approach was employed to examine production management, post-harvest processing, and marketing practices. The results are expected to provide empirical insights into management practices implemented by local farmer groups and their potential contribution to enhancing competitiveness and sustainability of local coffee agribusiness in Tapin Regency.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of flexible work arrangements has highlighted the importance of maintaining a balance between employees' professional and personal lives to enhance organizational performance. This study aims to examine the effect of Work-Life Balance on Individual Performance, with Employee Productivity serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative explanatory research design was employed using a census sampling technique involving 60 employees. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The findings reveal that Work-Life Balance has a positive and significant effect on Employee Productivity (β = 0.652; p < 0.001), Employee Productivity has a positive and significant effect on Individual Performance (β = 0.598; p < 0.001), and Work-Life Balance also has a direct positive and significant effect on Individual Performance (β = 0.417; p < 0.001). Furthermore, Employee Productivity partially mediates the relationship between Work-Life Balance and Individual Performance (β = 0.390; p < 0.001). These findings indicate that improving employees' work-life balance can enhance both productivity and individual performance, directly and indirectly through increased productivity. Therefore, organizations should implement policies that promote work-life balance to improve employee performance and support sustainable organizational success.

Abstract

The adoption of digital payments, particularly through the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) and a range of financial technology (fintech) instruments, has expanded rapidly as a catalyst for the transformation of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. Yet, the literature linking such adoption to MSME competitiveness remains fragmented across disciplines and theoretical frameworks. This study aims to map the intellectual and thematic structure of that literature and to formulate an integrative model explaining the roles of transaction efficiency, financial inclusion, and business performance. The method is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) guided by the PRISMA 2020 protocol and combined with bibliometric analysis, comprising performance analysis and science mapping using VOSviewer, applied to 177 Scopus-indexed documents published between 2018 and 2026. The results reveal exponential publication growth peaking in 2024 to 2025, a strong dominance of Indonesian affiliations, and 1,620 total citations with a corpus h-index of 21. Keyword co-occurrence mapping uncovers three thematic clusters: digital payment adoption and acceptance; financial inclusion, financial literacy, and business performance; and the digital economy and competitiveness. The synthesis indicates that digital payment adoption enhances MSME competitiveness not directly but through the mediating mechanisms of transaction efficiency and financial inclusion, which ultimately drive business performance. The study contributes an empirically testable model and a future research agenda for digital MSME competitiveness

Abstract

Digital accounting transformation has reshaped how micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) record, process, and communicate financial information, while opening new pathways to access financing and contributing to economic growth. This study maps the intellectual structure and thematic evolution of the literature linking digital accounting, MSME financing, and economic growth through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on the PRISMA 2020 protocol, combined with bibliometric analysis and VOSviewer network mapping. The final corpus comprised 54 Scopus-indexed documents published between 2005 and 2026, including journal articles, conference papers, and book chapters. Performance analysis revealed a marked acceleration in scientific output since 2023, with Indonesia, Jordan, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia emerging as the leading contributors, and a total of 859 citations concentrated in a small number of influential works. Keyword co-occurrence mapping identified six thematic clusters centred on accounting information systems, MSME financial performance, cloud-accounting adoption, decision-making, post-pandemic digital transformation, and system alignment and information quality. The temporal overlay revealed a shift in emphasis from conventional system-alignment issues towards digital accounting, artificial intelligence, and sustainability. The findings confirm that digital accounting serves as an enabler, improving financial information quality, reducing information asymmetry with finance providers, and strengthening MSMEs’ capacity for growth. This study contributes to a future research agenda that connects digital financial literacy, financial inclusion, and the macroeconomic effects of MSMEs in developing countries

Abstract

This study measures the speed of human resource (HR) adaptation in responding to generative artificial intelligence (AI) disruption. Using a three-wave longitudinal panel design, the study surveyed 250 members of the academic community at Universitas Sulawesi Barat over twelve months. It drew on dynamic capabilities theory, social cognitive theory, and conservation of resources theory. Adaptation velocity was treated as a dynamic construct, with learning culture as a positive moderator and technostress as a negative moderator. Data were analyzed using Latent Growth Curve Modeling and Structural Equation Modeling. The results show a significant increase in adaptation velocity over time (slope = 0.28, p < 0.001), with substantial inter-individual variation. Generative AI exposure positively affected adaptation velocity (β = 0.35, p < 0.001); this effect was strengthened by learning culture (β = 0.18, p = 0.010) and weakened by technostress (β = −0.15, p = 0.012). Adaptation velocity, in turn, positively affected academic performance (β = 0.32, p < 0.001) and mediated the effect of AI exposure on performance (β = 0.11, p = 0.006). These findings indicate that adaptation to AI is not a static event but a dynamic, time-dependent process whose pace is largely determined by organizational support and individuals’ capacity to manage technological stress. The study contributes a temporal dimension to dynamic capabilities theory and offers practical guidance for managing AI adoption in higher education
