Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between peer relationship quality and anxiety among late adolescents in Surakarta City. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The research subjects comprised 170 late adolescents aged 18–21 years who resided or were pursuing education in Surakarta City, selected using an accidental sampling technique. Data were collected using the Peer Relationship Quality Scale, developed based on the Friendship Quality Scale (FQS), and the Anxiety Scale, adapted from the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment correlation following the fulfillment of normality and linearity assumption tests. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between peer relationship quality and anxiety among late adolescents (r = −0.271; p = 0.000). These findings indicate that higher peer relationship quality is associated with lower levels of anxiety among late adolescents, whereas lower peer relationship quality is associated with higher levels of anxiety. The findings of this study suggest that positive peer relationships function as a protective factor in safeguarding the mental health of late adolescents. Accordingly, strengthening the quality of social relationships among peers may serve as an effective strategy for preventing and addressing anxiety among adolescents.

Abstract

Accountability, transparency, and public governance are central to the credibility and effectiveness of public financial management. Yet, research on these interrelated themes is dispersed across public accounting, governance, digitalisation, and anti-corruption studies. This study maps the intellectual structure, thematic development, and future research directions of this field. A systematic literature review guided by PRISMA 2020 was combined with bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Scopus records were retrieved on 3 July 2026. After duplicate removal and eligibility screening, 314 documents published between 2019 and 2026 were retained for bibliometric mapping, while 30 core studies were synthesised narratively. The results show sustained growth in publications, peaking at 71 documents in 2025. Public Money and Management and the Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management were the most productive outlets. At the same time, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and Italy were the leading contributing countries. Keyword co-occurrence analysis revealed three clusters: digital governance and public financial management; public sector accounting and accountability; and IPSAS, transparency, and anti-corruption. The narrative synthesis indicates a shift from compliance-centred accountability towards reflective and transformative governance, enabled by digital technologies, international standard harmonisation, and stronger oversight institutions. The study consolidates an evidence-based knowledge map and offers a research agenda for public sector accounting scholars and policymakers seeking to advance accountable, transparent, and sustainable public financial governance

Abstract

This study proposes and evaluates a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system integrating ChatGPT with FastText word embeddings for processing Indonesian-language PDF documents. The limitations of Large Language Models (LLMs) in handling domain-specific queries motivated the development of an RAG architecture with an advanced retrieval strategy. The CRISP-DM methodology was applied to compare two models: (1) a Baseline Model using pure FastText cosine similarity search, and (2) a Proposed Model combining Hybrid Search (FastText + BM25 with dynamic weighting), Maximal Marginal Relevance (MMR), and Cross-Encoder TF-IDF re-ranking. Evaluation was conducted using the RAGAS framework with five metrics—Context Relevance, Context Precision, Context Recall, Faithfulness, and Answer Relevance—across 20 test queries on the PT Omni Hottilier Booking Engine user guide. Results show that the Proposed Model outperformed the Baseline on 16 of 20 queries (80%), with the Overall Score increasing from 0.7853 to 0.8572 (+9.16%). The most significant improvements were observed in Context Relevance (+19.85%), Context Recall (+16.76%), and Faithfulness (+14.76%). The developed architecture is proven effective as an adaptive solution for transforming technical documents into intelligent chatbot knowledge bases, particularly for the morphologically complex Indonesian language.

Abstract

The growth of the digital economy has increased organizations’ need for data-driven decision-making, in which Business Intelligence (BI) serves as a mechanism for processing data into relevant information. Although research on BI continues to evolve, the relationship between BI, decision-making, and business performance still shows varying findings and limitations in conceptual integration. This study aims to synthesize the scientific literature on the role of data-driven BI in decision-making and business performance, as well as to identify patterns of relationships and research gaps. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review, following the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses. The data were obtained from reputable scientific databases through a selection process based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, resulting in 48 articles that were analyzed using thematic synthesis and conceptual analysis. The results indicate that BI is consistently associated with improvements in the quality and speed of decision-making. The impact of BI on business performance is generally indirect and mediated by variables such as decision quality and analytical capabilities. In addition, it was found that contextual factors, including a data-driven culture and technology-organizational fit, also influence the effectiveness of BI. The study’s conclusions confirm that the role of BI in an organization is best understood as a capability that supports the decision-making process, rather than as a direct determinant of business performance. This study contributes an integrated conceptual framework and recommendations for the development of more comprehensive empirical research.

Abstract

The achievement of public accountability in government institutions depends on the effective implementation of the Government Internal Control System (SPIP). Institutionally, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has attained SPIP Maturity Level 3; however, recurring audit findings continue to be identified. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the internal control system in addressing recurring findings, identify the inhibiting factors based on the five dimensions of the COSO framework, and formulate tactical recommendations to overcome these challenges. This descriptive qualitative study employed a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants representing both auditors (the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Home Affairs) and auditees (the Directorate General of Village Government Development, the Regional Representative Council, the Institute of Public Administration Jatinangor Campus, and the Institute of Public Administration North Sulawesi Regional Campus), as well as through document analysis of the Audit Reports for the 2021–2024 period obtained from the SIWASIAT application. Data were analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña interactive analysis model. Using the five dimensions of the COSO framework as the analytical basis, the study identified five cross-dimensional and thematic inhibiting factors: weak organizational commitment and control culture; inadequate supervisory planning documents in determining the focus of recurring findings; regulatory weaknesses and the absence of enforceable institutional sanctions; limitations in supervisory information systems and technology; and weaknesses in monitoring methodology, along with a compliance-oriented approach to follow-up verification. The findings indicate that the current internal control system remains insufficient to break the cycle of recurring audit findings. Therefore, the study recommends strengthening leadership commitment through behavioral regulations, formalizing operational risk registers, enhancing the SIWASIAT early warning system, standardizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) training for auditors, and implementing a two-step follow-up verification mechanism.

Abstract

To speed up the handling of disruptions and improve safety at level crossings, an alternative system is needed to help officers deal with disruptions at level crossings. The implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT) system can be a solution for monitoring the actual condition of level crossings in real time. This system was developed using an ESP 32 microcontroller, an INA226 sensor, and an ACS712 sensor to measure battery voltage, motor voltage, and charger current. Monitoring is conducted through a website equipped with a Threshold Detection method to send early notifications via Telegram. Functionality testing using the black box method showed that the system operates as designed. Sensor accuracy testing revealed that the INA226 sensor has a voltage accuracy of 99.25%. However, the ACS712 20A sensor showed lower accuracy (65.26%) due to incorrect sensor type selection and noise during calibration.

Abstract

Maritime logistics plays a vital role in supporting the national energy supply chain, making operational cost efficiency and fleet reliability strategic concerns for energy transportation companies in Indonesia. This study evaluates the impact of implementing a Service Level Agreement (SLA) as a performance-based governance instrument on the Small Tanker I fleet of an energy maritime logistics company by comparing operational conditions before (2023) and after (2024) implementation. An explanatory sequential mixed-methods approach was employed involving ten vessels treated as Decision Making Units (DMUs). Relative technical efficiency was measured using input-oriented BCC Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), total productivity change was assessed through the Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI), and six hypotheses were tested using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, linear regression analysis, and the Baron and Kenny mediation procedure. Qualitative data obtained from interviews with five key informants were used to explain quantitative findings through a joint display analysis. The results indicate that SLA implementation has a positive and significant effect on fleet operational strategy (coefficient = 3.04; p < 0.001) and increases total productivity by 20.64%, with technological change emerging as the dominant component (average Malmquist index = 1.2064; p < 0.001). At the same time, relative technical efficiency among vessels did not change significantly (p = 0.2754), and operational strategy was not found to mediate the relationship between SLA implementation and efficiency. Benchmark vessels were consistently identified as references for continuous improvement. These findings suggest that SLA functions as a governance instrument that shifts the operational frontier of the fleet uniformly without altering relative efficiency rankings in the short term. The study also highlights the importance of combining static efficiency measurement and dynamic productivity assessment in evaluating operational governance performance.

Abstract

Religion is a social institution that plays a crucial role in shaping societal values, identity, and solidarity. However, in practice, religion also has an ambivalent character, serving as both a source of social integration and a trigger for conflict. On the other hand, social and political conflict often fosters the emergence of religion-based social movements that utilize religious values as a moral foundation in their struggle for justice and social change. This article aims to analyze the dynamics of the relationship between religion, conflict, and social movements in society through a sociological perspective. The study employed a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing various sociological theories of religion, conflict theory, social movement theory, and relevant previous research findings. The discussion demonstrates that religion has a dual capacity as a source of social cohesion and conflict, depending on the social, political, and economic context, as well as the interpretation of religious teachings. Conflict can strengthen religious identity and trigger the birth of religion-based social movements that derive moral legitimacy, organizational structure, and collective motivation from religious values. The case study of the communal conflict in Poso demonstrates that religion-based conflict does not exist in isolation but is influenced by the interaction of social, economic, political, and identity factors. Therefore, understanding the relationship between religion, conflict, and social movements requires a multidimensional approach to be able to explain the role of religion more comprehensively as a factor that can drive conflict or become a force for social transformation towards peace and justice.
