Abstract

Pemahaman maskulinitas telah berkembang menjadi gambaran yang kaku dalam masyarakat, menjadikan maskulinitas sebagai kepribadian yang tangguh, tegas, berani, kasar, dan sebagainya. Film Barbie (2023) yang disutradarai oleh Greta Gerwig menampilkan gambaran kehidupan perempuan dan laki-laki dalam sistem ideologi patriarki, serta mengkritik stereotip gender dengan humor, membawa pesan moral yang mendalam untuk dibahas, yaitu kesetaraan gender, sistem patriarki, dan double standard bagi perempuan dalam masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui representasi maskulinitas pada karakter Ken, menggunakan teori semiotika Roland Barthes untuk mengetahui pemaknaan dari suatu tanda atau simbol melalui analisis makna denotatif, makna konotatif, dan mitos tentang maskulinitas dalam film. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari adegan-adegan film, observasi film, dan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah representasi maskulinitas dalam film Barbie (2023) digambarkan oleh sifat dan perilaku yang Ken miliki, seperti berperilaku agresif, mengontrol dan mendominasi orang-orang di sekitarnya, berusaha mendapatkan otoritas kekuasaan dan status sosial yang tinggi agar dihormati oleh orang lain, film ini juga membuktikan bahwa maskulinitas seorang laki-laki tidak hanya ditentukan oleh penampilan fisik saja, tetapi juga ditentukan oleh kepribadian, norma, dan nilai-nilai yang dibentuk oleh sosial budaya.

Abstract

Jurnal ini menganalisis visualisasi emosi dan proses regulasi emosi pada tokoh utama film Turning Red. Film ini bercerita tentang bagaimana seorang gadis remaja mendapati dirinya berubah menjadi karakter hewan panda merah yang menyebabkan perubahan emosinya yang berfluktuasi. Situasi ini membuatnya belajar mengatur emosinya dengan bantuan keluarga dan lingkungan. Jurnal ini akan membahas tentang bagaimana seorang remaja mengatur emosinya yang direpresentasikan dari ekspresi, gerak tubuh, penempatan kamera dan warna. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa film ini menekankan ekspresi wajah sebagai representasi visual utama pengaturan emosi dengan gerak tubuh, penempatan kamera dan warna sebagai faktor pendukungnya.

Abstract

The Kuflet Art Community is an art community focused on literature and theater, offering a platform for artists to express their creativity as part of a group with shared interests. An effective promotional media concept is necessary to address the challenges in reaching a wider audience and strengthening the community's image, which is highly dedicated to literacy. The target audience for this design includes artists, art practitioners, and anyone involved in the arts in Padang Panjang City. The methods used in designing the promotional media include data collection through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to understand the needs and characteristics of the community. The design process is carried out by applying design and animation principles relevant to the identity of the Kuflet Art Community. The promotional media is designed to provide information about the community's programs, achievements, and relationships in an engaging and communicative manner. The design results include promotional media capable of convincing and inviting the target audience to join the Kuflet Art Community and increasing public awareness of the community's existence. The media mix produced includes videos, posters, flyers, brochures, x-banners, stamps, business cards, lanyards, and various merchandise. This design is expected to be the first step in a broader sustainable promotional strategy.

Abstract

Commercial photography used as one of the promotional media. Designers created commercial photography as a creative aspect of the batik product ads of malaka rumoh which is the original batik of the kuta malaka, Big day.Creation process carried out through design thinking method. The stage starts with data collection and analysis gathering, resulting in the concept of a photo shoot. The results of the work were then poured into various media among the prototype billboards, poster, magazines and website markets place. The use of commercial photography is expected to improve the quality of promotion for malaka batik. The role of photography in advertising is crucial to supporting the promotion of a product. Abstract

 Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mengubah lanskap dunia periklanan secara signifikan. Visual kini memegang peranan sentral dalam menarik perhatian audiens di tengah banjirnya informasi di media digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran daya tarik visual sebagai faktor utama dalam keberhasilan kampanye iklan digital. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, serta analisis konten terhadap beberapa kampanye digital populer seperti Tokopedia dan Netflix Indonesia. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa elemen visual yang kuat, seperti warna dominan, ilustrasi khas, tipografi yang komunikatif, serta storytelling visual yang menyentuh emosi, terbukti meningkatkan keterlibatan audiens dan memperkuat brand recall. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa desain visual yang menarik bukan hanya pelengkap, melainkan elemen utama dalam komunikasi strategis kampanye iklan digital.The rapid advancement of digital technology has significantly transformed the landscape of advertising. Visual elements now play a central role in capturing audience attention amidst the overwhelming flow of information in digital media. This research aims to analyze the role of visual appeal as a key factor in the success of digital advertising campaigns. The method used is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach, supported by content analysis of several popular digital campaigns such as Tokopedia and Netflix Indonesia. The results show that strong visual elements—such as dominant colors, unique illustrations, communicative typography, and emotionally driven visual storytelling—significantly enhance audience engagement and brand recall. This study concludes that compelling visual design is not merely a supplement, but a vital element in the strategic communication of digital advertising campaigns.

Abstract

Parenting is an important foundation in shaping the character and morals of future generations. However, as time goes by, many parents face challenges in implementing Parenting patterns that are in accordance with Islamic teachings. This design focuses on developing information media with a two-dimensional animation concept that is communicative, educational and easily accessible as a solution to increase understanding and Parenting skills based on the Islamic religion. Design methods through observation, questionnaires, interviews and literature study. This media design technique uses 5W+1H analysis. The two-dimensional animation design process goes through several stages, namely brainstorming, sketching, storyline and storyboard, the resulting work design is in the form of a two-dimensional animation entitled Ali Cahaya Keluarga, supporting information design, namely posters, x-banners and merchandise (t-shirts, tote bags, keychains). and stickers).

Peranan media digital dalam bentuk poster dan video dalam membentuk standarisasi kehidupan melalui media sosial. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka dan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media digital berkontribusi besar dalam membentuk persepsi masyarakat terhadap gaya hidup yang ideal. Abstract

KATA KUNCI ABSTRAK Perancangan Media Promosi, Brand Awareness, Sanggar Seni GadihLareh  Globalisasi menjadi tantangan bagi pelestarian budaya di Kabupaten Dharmasraya Sumatera Barat, ditandai dengan menurunnya minat generasi muda terhadap seni tradisional. Sanggar seni memiliki peran krusial dalam melestarikan budaya lokal, namun seringkali terkendala oleh kurangnya media promosi yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang media promosi Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh sebagai upaya meningkatkan brand awareness di Nagari Kurnia Koto Salak untuk menarik minat masyarakat, khususnya masyarakat di Kabupaten Dharmasraya, terhadap seni pertunjukan tradisional Minangkabau. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode analisis SWOT dan AIDA. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pemilik sanggar, observasi partisipan, dan penyebaran kuesioner online kepada masyarakat. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif meliputi pengumpulan data, penyajian data, penyajian karya, analisis karya, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa video promosi dan media pendukung (poster, spanduk, x-banner, name card, id card, lanyard, konten media sosial dan merchandise) yang dirancang dengan menonjolkan keunggulan sanggar dalam melestarikan seni dan ketersediaan jasa pertunjukan tradisional Minangkabau didalam sanggar, berhasil meningkatkan brand awareness Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya jumlah kunjungan peminat kesenian pertunjukan secara langsung juga melalui media sosial sanggar, bertambahnya minat jasa pertunjukan dari masyarakat, dan bergabungnya anggota baru kedalam sanggar. Perancang merekomendasikan penerapan strategi pemasaran digital yang berkelanjutan untuk mengoptimalkan media promosi yang telah dirancang dalam memperluas jangkauan  pasar Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh.   KEYWORDS ABSTRACT Designing Promotional Media, Brand Awareness, Sanggar Seni GadihLareh  Globalization poses a challenge to cultural preservation in Dharmasraya Regency, West Sumatra, as indicated by the declining interest of the younger generation in traditional arts. Art studios play a crucial role in preserving local culture; however, they often face obstacles due to a lack of effective promotional media. This study aims to design promotional media for Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh as an effort to increase brand awareness in Nagari Kurnia Koto Salak, attracting public interest, particularly in Dharmasraya Regency, toward Minangkabau traditional performing arts. The research employs SWOT and AIDA analysis methods. Data is collected through in-depth interviews with the studio owner, participant observation, and online questionnaire distribution to the community. Data analysis is conducted interactively, including data collection, data presentation, artwork presentation, artwork analysis, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study indicate that the promotional video and supporting media (posters, banners, x-banners, name cards, ID cards, lanyards, social media content, and merchandise) designed to highlight the studio's strengths in preserving the arts and providing Minangkabau traditional performance services have successfully increased the brand awareness of Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh. This is evidenced by the increased number of visitors interested in live performances and social media engagements, the growing demand for performance services from the community, and the addition of new members to the studio. The designer recommends implementing a sustainable digital marketing strategy to optimize the designed promotional media in expanding the market reach of Sanggar Seni Gadih Lareh.
