Abstract

In the wetlands, especially peatlands, there are extensive developments and an increasing number of oil palm plantation companies. One of them is the issue of crop failure and crop failure that Ogan Komering Ilir lebak farmers had experienced during the rice season. The purpose of the study is to determine the influence of the expansion of oil palm plantations on the region's micro and macro levels. In order to have a better understanding of the farmers' perspective, farmers samples were gathered from 10 percent of the total population of 721 homes in Srigeni Baru and Mariana villages. The findings show that there is no reason for any party to view the presence of a plantation company around a small farming community in a bad manner. Communities and villages concerned about fire, palm oil plantation companies, and even rural harmony can be developed until it is fostered, for example, under the coordination of the BUKD (Badan Usaha Kemitraan Desa), which actively promotes village prosperity.

Abstract

The Bina Mina Village Unit Cooperative is an active cooperative in East Lampung Regency that was founded in 1975, but it has never been evaluated as successful using a tripartite approach, therefore the cooperative has no idea how successful its management. The goal of this research is to examine cooperative success from three perspectives (tripartite), namely cooperative success as a corporate entity, cooperative success in contributing to development, and cooperative success in delivering community benefits. The study employed a case study approach, which included direct interviews with five cooperative administrators and the completion of a questionnaire. The information was quantitatively examined using the 2015 Cooperative Rating Guidelines, which included five areas of cooperative institutions: business, finance, community benefits, and member benefits. The findings of this study show that cooperatives are successful as well-qualified commercial entities, contribute to well-qualified development, and provide benefits to non-qualified members.

In the second quadrant, there are nine regency’s with advanced but depressed agricultural growth. There is one regency’s in the third quadrant classified as having a rapidly increasing agricultural sector. Six regency’s are classified in the fourth quadrant, with the agricultural sector lagging behind. Abstract

The research aims to 1) assess the impact of raw materials, wood pellets, fire woods, and electrical energy on black tea production at PT Perkebunan Tambi's Bedakah Plantation Unit tea factory, and 2) assess the level of allocative efficiency of the utility of black tea production factors at PT Perkebunan Tambi's Bedakah Plantation Unit tea factory. The descriptive technique is used with the case study implementation method in this study. Purposive sampling was used by the responders. Primary and secondary data were collected during a three-year period (2017-2019). For production factor analysis and allocative efficiency of production factors analysis, the analytical technique employs Cobb-Douglas, which calculates the ratio between the Marginal Value Product (MVP) and the input price (Px). The findings of this study revealed that 1) the number of raw materials and fire woods had an impact on the production of black tea at the Bedakah Plantation Unit tea factory, and 2) the utility of production factors in the form of raw materials and fire woods at the Bedakah Plantation Unit tea factory was ineffective. It is suggested that raw materials and firewood elements be added to the black tea processing at Bedakah Plantation Unit in order to attain aloocative efficiency.
