Abstract

The objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze the factors that influence Arabica Coffee production in Huta Bagasan Village, Dolok Sanggul District, and Humbang Hasundutan Regency using multiple linear regression analysis approaches and socio-economic survey data, (2) Using an income level analysis approach and survey data, examine the level of income of Arabica coffee farmers in Huta Bagasan Village, Dolok Sanggul District, and Humbang Hasundutan Regency (3) To analyze the efficiency level of Arabica Coffe farming production in Huta Bagasan Village, Dolok Sanggul District, and the Regency of Humbang Hasundutan. This research was conducted in Huta Bagasan Village, Dolok Sanggul District, and Humbang Hasundutan Regency with a total of 34 coffee farmers who were selected using the sample random sampling method, which is processed with SPSS and determines the value of the marginal product. This study uses primary and secondary data. The results of this study indicate that the production factors that have a significant effect on production yields are land area, and urea fertilizer. While NPK fertilizer, labor and herbisida do not have a significant effect. The average income of coffee farmers in Huta Bagasan Village is Rp 36.035.917 per hectare per year. For the efficiency of production factors that must be reduced, their use is land area and pestisida, because it is not efficient. while the production factors that are not efficient and need to be used more are labor, urea fertilizer, and NPK fertilizer. keyword: arabika coffee farmer, efficiency, production factor, production

Abstract

Determining an appropriate marketing channel for granulated sugar is a significant step for sugarcane farmers because each marketing channel offers different profit margins for them. The objectives of this study are: (1) Analyzing the marketing channels and marketing margins of sugarcane farmers' sugar in the vicinity of the Cinta Manis Sugar Factory. (2) Analyzing the driving factors for farmers in selecting marketing channels for sugarcane farmers partnering with the Cinta Manis Sugar Factory. (3) Analyzing the income of sugarcane farmers from the sale of sugar through profit-sharing with the Cinta Manis Sugar Factory. This research was conducted in the vicinity of the Cinta Manis Sugar Factory in Ogan Ilir Regency from December 2023 to January 2024. The research location was purposively chosen. The research method employed was the Survey Method. The sampling method utilized Purposive Sampling with specific criteria, selecting 15 farmers out of a total of 40 sugarcane farmers. The data used comprised both primary and secondary data. Data processing for each objective employed descriptive analysis, Likert scale analysis, and formulas. The research findings revealed that sugarcane farmers chose 2 types of marketing channels to market their sugar. The driving factors influencing farmers' decisions in selecting a marketing channel, with the greatest impact, were price, social trust, sugar quantity, and sales distance. The average income of sugaecane farmers from selling sugars is RpRp92.581.564. per year. Sugarcane farmers' income from sugar sales ranged from Rp15,153,501 to Rp21,830,424 per hectare of land per year. Keywords: marketing channels, sugarcane farmers, sugar

Abstract

Coffee is an important agricultural commodity in Indonesia, which has a significant contribution to the economy and people's livelihoods, including in Lahat Regency. This research aims to identify the productivity of robusta coffee in Rindu Hati Village, Gumay Ulu District, Lahat Regency and determine the factors that influence coffee productivity in Lahat Regency. The research method uses primary and secondary, the sumpling method uses a simple random sampling method with a sample size of 32 respondents. The data analysis method uses descriptive methods and is presented with the help of tables. The results of this research are that Rindu Hati Village has robusta coffee productivity with a value of 0.9 tons/ha, as well as the factors that cause productivity, namely internal and external factors. Abstract

Broiler chicken farming, a widely embraced agribusiness venture, was recognized for its substantial business value within the community. The research aimed to achieve the following objectives: (1) Evaluate the total expenses incurred by the farmer and establish the feasibility and financial viability of Ir John Isman's broiler chicken farm; (2) Compute the payback period for the investment costs borne by the farmer; (3) Assess the sensitivity of the broiler chicken farm's feasibility in the face of reduced production and chicken prices. Conducted at Ir John Isman's Broiler Chicken Farm in Pelempang Village, Kelekar District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province, the research employed a case study method. Primary data was gathered through direct interviews, supplemented by secondary data from literature and other relevant sources. The research findings were as follows: (1) Ir John Isman's Broiler Chicken Farm met comprehensive criteria in feasibility and financial analysis, with an NPV of Rp 11.361.868.688, Net B/C of 2,98, IRR of 32,66%, and a Payback Period of 3,8 years or equivalent to 19 production periods; (2) Sensitivity analysis revealed that Ir John Isman's Broiler Chicken Farm was highly responsive to reduced production and selling prices. Calculations demonstrated that an 9% decrease rendered the farm non-compliant with the criteria for feasibility and financial viability. Keywords: broiler chicken farm and feasibility analysis

Abstract

The aims of this research are (1) Analyzing changes in the economic conditions of irrigated rice field farmers during and after the Covid-19 pandemic in Karang Tengah Village , (2) Analyzing the feasibility of farming irrigated rice farmers during and after the Covid-19 pandemic in Karang Tengah Village. The research results showed that there were significant changes in the economic conditions of rice field farmers during and after the Covid-19 pandemic in Karang Tengah Village, which occurred in production costs which increased by 20.83 percent after the Covid-19 pandemic. Household income increased by 36.71 percent after the Covid-19 pandemic. Farmer household consumption expenditure increased by 27.38 percent per year after the pandemic compared to during the Covid-19 pandemic. The area of cultivated land and the total allocation of working time in rice farming during and after the Covid-19 pandemic did not experience significant changes. The feasibility of farming carried out by irrigated rice field farmers during and after the Covid-19 pandemic in Karang Tengah Village is feasible. Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the basic ingredients which plays a very important role in meeting household consumption needs. Currently, cooking oil is marketed in two forms, namely in bulk and in packages with certain brands/labels. Even though packaged cooking oil has many advantages and is increasingly common in Indralaya Indah Village, the demand for bulk cooking oil is still higher compared to packaged cooking oil. The objectives of this research are: (1) to analyze the differences in the characteristics of packaged cooking oil and bulk cooking oil in Indralaya Indah Village, Ogan Ilir Regency; (2) to analyze the determinant factors for packaged cooking oil and bulk cooking oil in Indralaya Indah Village, Ogan Ilir Regency (3) to describe the behavior of using and handling packaged cooking oil waste by households in Indralaya Indah Village, Ogan Ilir Regency. This research was carried out in December in Indralaya Indah Village, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency. The research method used was a survey with a sample of 38 households. Data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis, independent t test and descriptive analysis. The results of this research show that: (1) the characteristics of cooking oil consumers obtained from this research, namely consumers aged 36-45 years, the dominant gender is female, the education level is predominantly high school level, and have a relatively high income of between Rp. 2,500,000 – 3,500,000, and have < 4 family members. Meanwhile, the significant differences in the characteristics of bulk cooking oil and packaged cooking oil are education, number of family members and employment; (2) factors that influence consumer demand for cooking oil per month in Indralaya Indah Subdistrict are education, income and health awareness; (3) the behavior of using cooking oil in Indralaya Indah Subdistrict, Ogan Ilir Regency, namely that on average, 358 milliliters of cooking oil is used for one cooking and it is immediately thrown into the drain of each respondent's house without processing it first. Abstract

Indonesia is known as an agricultural country that prioritizes the agrarian sector with the majority of the Indonesian population working as farmers. Musi Rawas Regency is a producer of food commodities and has a large contribution to the agricultural sector in South Sumatra. This research aims to analyze the mechanism of selling rice harvests, to compare the sales and consumption of rice harvests, and to analyze the factors influencing farmers' decisions to sell rice harvests in Musi Rawas Regency, South Sumatra. The study was conducted in Megang Sakti II Village with rice farmer respondents who met specified criteria, using interview and questionnaire methods, and sample selection through purposive sampling technique. The results indicate that the mechanism for selling rice harvests is in the form of dried milled rice, with a milling payment system deducting 10% from the total rice, and the entire sales are marketed to middlemen. The average sale of rice harvests is 77.48%, with a consumption percentage of 22.52%. The independent variables that significantly influence farmers' decisions to market rice harvests in Megang Sakti II Village are production result with a value of 0,040 and household income with a value of 0,025.
