Abstract

This article discusses the discipleship principle in Acts 2:42 for the spiritual growth of the church today as seen in the output in Acts 2:47. This study aims to explain the principles of discipleship that are relevant for the spiritual growth of the church today, by studying the principles found in Acts. Researchers use qualitative research methods and a biblical approach. This principle focuses on the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer as means of deepening understanding of Christ's doctrine. The guiding principles used by followers of Jesus Christ at that time included several important elements. First, the direct teaching of the apostles became the main foundation of learning. This emphasizes the importance of having teachers who provide proper teaching. Second, fellowship becomes an important element in learning. Followers of Christ learn from others through discussion, brainstorming, and helping each other understand the doctrine of Christ. Third, breaking bread becomes a significant learning method. During this activity, followers of Christ discuss and deepen their understanding of Christ's doctrine. This activity creates strong social bonds between members of the congregation and allows for mutual strengthening in faith.  Fourth, prayer is an important aspect of this learning method. Followers of Christ learn through prayer and strengthen faith through prayer together.

Abstract

This study analyzes the culture of Gawai Week to assist in finding cultural meaning and assisting in the evangelistic approach to gawai week culture. Through this gadget week, the Dayak tribe can gather to hold various attractions as well as socialize in it. This custom is carried out once a year involving the entire Dayak community. The custom of this gawai week still believes in the abundance of blessings received from the ancestors. Through this habit, it is used as a contextualized medium for evangelism. By taking a persuasive approach in order to be able to change a good and correct perspective on the blessings received through the gadget week. It is this good perspective that can change perspectives and can also incorporate the Bible into the culture of gadget week to understand where the words are received in gadget week.

Abstract

In modern life, especially in the 21st century, the influence of technological developments is very rapid, including the presence of social media (social media) and it has become a basic need for humanity in the technological era and not to forget the church as a place for people to worship. Every congregation within the church environment has known and used social media for various things including facilitating congregations to read the Bible, electronic hymnbooks and so on. However, it seems that there are still some congregations who are less responsive in using social media wisely. Christian youth in the 21st century, who are the majority of active social media users, seem less aware of this opportunity, so they experience difficulties in preaching the Gospel to others. For this reason, the aim of this research is to provide good knowledge so that Christian youth in the 21st century can utilize social media as a means of preaching the Gospel based on the Great Commission. The method used in this scientific work is a qualitative research method, by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The author chose this type of research because the author wanted to find out why there was a lack of response from Christian youth in the 21st century in utilizing social media as a means of preaching the gospel. The results of this scientific work are to raise awareness of Christian youth regarding the importance of using social media in preaching the Gospel.

Abstract

David's leadership is a benchmark for leadership today. David was a strong influence in becoming King over the Israelites. David's leadership sets an example for today's leadership by being a leader who knows God's heart in order to lead with courage and direction from God. He can make decisions firmly because he has a life that knows God. The purpose of this study is so that today's leaders can reflect and apply David's leadership model in the Church and spiritual organizations they lead. Literature review of David's life and experts' views on leadership. The research method used is a literature study by collecting data from various documents, books, journals, other articles so as to get the results of David's leadership style that can be applied to today's leadership is a leader who knows the heart and will of God and is able to make decisions and is able to be responsible for the decisions taken.

Abstract

The personality of the teacher is an important factor, whether students get success or failure for the future of educating those who are still in elementary school and for those in the middle class when experiencing mental turmoil. The presentation in this study aims to find and explain the personality competencies that teachers need to have based on 2 Timothy 3:7-10. In this research study using literature study research on biblical texts in 2 Timothy 3: 10-17 which contains the principle of discipleship from Paul to Timothy in an approach using the method of description analysis on the text of 2 Timothy 3: 10-17. So that the characteristics of the personality of Christian Religious Education teachers are obtained. The results found are that the personality of Christian Religious Education teachers is the personality of teachers who are willing to sacrifice, obedient, and diligent so that these personalities can indirectly influence and foster students who are taught and educated by the teacher concerned.

Abstract

Suffering is an unpleasant condition of life. Suffering is synonymous with bad conditions in life, call it sickness, deprivation, distress, and struggle, persecution, discrimination and so on. However, in the Christian faith it is also a part of the believer's life, because suffering is also one of his life calls from God.  Christians are not only called by God to believe, be faithful, be saved, witness, serve and so on, but suffering together with Christ becomes one of God's callings as well.  Behind suffering there are spiritual values contained in it, which of course God has a special purpose for the life of faith of believers before God. This study will theologically discuss how the values of suffering and how the function of suffering is for the life of believers, as well as how its implications for the life of believers in Indonesia.

Abstract

Applying the actual ethics and leadership ethos of Jesus Christ in church organizations. Christian leadership that is very much needed today is a responsible leader, always putting hope in Jesus Christ in the organization as a shepherd leading the congregation, and having ethics and ethos. In leading, one must have good integrity in serving. The methodology used is literature research using primary sources from books, journals and previous research as a source of study. The primary data is then analyzed and synthesized to become the novelty discussed in this study. So the orientation in empowering leadership is an effort to help individuals who are led reach a better stage so that it is more lightening compared to Musa's single leadership. The principles of leadership discussed include delegating leadership, increasing responsibility, increasing capacity, practicing independence and being willing to learn and be taught. Thus, this leadership can bring wider influence and create empowered individuals, not depending on a particular situation or organization. Today's leadership succession requires forming leaders who excel in facing competition, innovation, and leadership succession skills that can be realized in empowering leadership.

Abstract

God equips teachers with the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit, even so God still wants every teacher to have a mature readiness to become God’s tool in the world of education. This study aims to find out the problems that occur why Sunday school children at the Tegal Bethel Maranatha Chrurch in Central Tegal find it very difficult to concentrate when their teacher is explaining and the results of this study are finding the empowerment of the gift of teaching in the Sunday School teacher ministry according to Romans 12:6-8 in Tegal Center Bethel Maranatha Church is low due to several factors listed in this study.

Abstract

Pastoral counseling services have an important role in building the Body of Christ. The congregation in general needs guidance, restoration and life changes to be served well. This study aims to analyze the problems that occur in the scope of pastoral counseling, especially related to empowering the gift of counseling. The author uses a qualitative method to get details of the problem, and find the right steps to answer the problem. The results of the study found that the congregation's need for pastoral counseling services, especially related to the gift of counseling, is very high, where many congregations need special assistance in dealing with their problems.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze and discover about Jesus' ignorance regarding the second coming. In addition, in writing this scientific paper, a description of the implications of this ignorance of Christology will also be included. In an effort to obtain these objectives in this study, researchers use The research method used in writing this thesis is a qualitative research method based on hermeneutic principles with a commonly used interpretation approach described by Hasan Sutanto. This approach focuses on the text of Mark 13:32. Next, the author uses data collection techniques through library research by using the Bible as primary literature and dictionaries, interpretations, books and journals as secondary literature.   The results showed that Jesus said the Son did not know the second coming does not mean that He  really did not know the  coming,  Jesus knew of the day but He limited Himself to not knowing that day at once this is a statement that man is limited, and as a Son He chose to obey the Father's plan for Himself in the first coming.
