Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of vocational training programs in promoting social inclusion and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation at the Bureau of Public Welfare of East Java Province. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation and were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of vocational training programs for persons with disabilities has provided formal access through the provision of inclusive regular training programs. However, the implementation has not fully met the principles of accessibility, participation, equity, and accountability. Supporting factors include institutional commitment, inter-agency coordination, a flexible training system, the utilization of technology, and social support. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors consist of limited accessible facilities, inadequate assistance services, and the absence of service standards specifically designed to accommodate the needs of participants with disabilities. It is concluded that the implementation of vocational training programs for persons with disabilities in East Java Province has expanded formal access for persons with disabilities; however, the principles of social inclusion have not yet been fully institutionalized in program implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of counseling services in supporting psychosocial development and social adaptation among children with special needs. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with counselors, parents, and teachers, and documentation review. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Matthew B. Miles, A. Michael Huberman, and Johnny Saldaña. The findings indicate that counseling significantly contributes to emotional regulation, social skill development, and adaptive behavior improvement among children with special needs. Counseling functions not only as a therapeutic intervention but also as a preventive and developmental approach. Furthermore, collaboration between counselors, families, and schools enhances intervention effectiveness. This study highlights counseling as a psychosocial support system that strengthens independence, social integration, and overall well-being of children with special needs.

Abstract

The persistence of oppression in contemporary society, manifested in structural inequality, cultural domination, and epistemic marginalization, demonstrates the failure of normative theological approaches to bring about substantive social change. Although the concept of enjoining good and forbidding evil theologically possesses emancipatory potential, its practice remains trapped within a moralistic-formalistic framework and has not yet been operationalized as a mechanism for systemic social transformation. The research gap lies in the absence of an integrative model that connects theological, psychological, and sociological dimensions within a framework of liberation praxis. This study aims to rearticulate enjoining good and forbidding evil as a paradigm for emancipatory social counseling within a transformative theological framework. The theoretical approach employed is interdisciplinary, integrating Islamic theology, critical social philosophy, and emancipatory counseling theory. The research method employed is qualitative with a conceptual-philosophical approach through critical and hermeneutic analysis of classical and contemporary sources. The main argument of this research asserts that enjoining good and forbidding evil can be reconstructed as a social counseling process that functions not only as moral control but also as a mechanism for critical awareness, internalization of prophetic values, and transformation of oppressive social structures. Thus, theology no longer remains normative but functions as a liberating, practical force.

Abstract

Teaching competence is one of the important factors that determine the success of the learning process in early childhood education. Early childhood teachers are required to have good pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competencies in order to provide learning that is appropriate to children's developmental characteristics. One effort that can be made to improve these competencies is through well-planned and systematic teacher training management. This study aims to describe how the management of PAUD teacher training can improve teachers' teaching competence in the learning process. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that teacher training management carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages can improve teachers' understanding in designing learning activities, using creative learning methods, and managing classrooms effectively. In addition, training also has a positive impact on improving teacher professionalism in implementing more innovative and enjoyable learning activities for early childhood.

Abstract

This study examines the personality and inner conflict of the main character, Moko, in the film 1 Kakak 7 Ponakan, using literary psychology theory through a qualitative approach. The film tells the story of Moko's life, who must face major changes after becoming the caregiver for her seven nephews following the death of her older sister. In carrying out her role, Moko is faced with various problems, such as economic pressure, family responsibilities, and the conflict between personal desires and social obligations. This study aims to explain the form of inner conflict experienced by the main character and analyze her personality structure based on Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory, which includes the id, ego, and superego. The results show that Moko experiences inner conflict in the form of a conflict between personal responsibilities and desires, feelings of being burdened but still having compassion, and mental and economic pressure. Furthermore, it was found that the superego is more dominant in Moko, so she tends to prioritize moral values and responsibility over personal interests. This research is expected to provide an understanding of the psychological dynamics of the characters in the film and their relevance to real life, particularly the phenomenon of the sandwich generation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the TANOS application as a digital attendance system for outsourced workers at PT Pelindo Daya Sejahtera Regional East Java. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, documentation, and literature review. The analysis was conducted using George C. Edward III’s policy implementation model, which consists of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The findings reveal that the implementation of TANOS has supported the digital transformation of attendance administration by improving attendance monitoring, discipline control, and data management efficiency. Communication was carried out through socialization and coordination among implementers and users. Resource support was reflected in the availability of information technology personnel, digital infrastructure, and system integration with MyPDS. The disposition of implementers showed a positive commitment toward policy implementation, while the bureaucratic structure was supported by company regulations and internal coordination mechanisms. However, several challenges remain, including user adaptation and technical constraints related to system operation. Therefore, continuous system improvement and periodic evaluation are necessary to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of TANOS implementation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine digital leadership in data-driven decision-making during the e-government era, using the Office of Communication and Informatics (Diskominfo) of Padang City as the contextual framework. Digital leadership has become an urgent need for public sector organizations required to adapt to information technology transformation. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing and synthesizing relevant journals, scientific articles, and policy documents. The findings indicate that effective digital leadership requires leaders to utilize data as a systematic basis for decision-making. In the context of Diskominfo as the leading sector for e-government at the regional level, several critical factors determine successful implementation, including digital leadership competency, data infrastructure integration, and organizational culture transformation. This study recommends strengthening digital leadership capacity through training, developing integrated data systems, and transforming organizational culture toward a data-driven bureaucracy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the concept of knowledge integration in contemporary Islamic education as an effort to eliminate the dichotomy between religious and general sciences. This research employs a qualitative method with a library research approach. Data sources were obtained from books, scientific journals, articles, and various references relevant to the research topic. Data collection techniques were conducted through documentation and literature review, while data analysis utilized descriptive qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that knowledge integration in contemporary Islamic education is an effort to unify religious and general sciences so that they can develop in a balanced manner. The concept of knowledge integration has been developed through the ideas of scholars such as Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas and Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi, who emphasized the importance of the Islamization of knowledge. In addition, the integration-interconnection model (Spider Web) represents one form of knowledge integration that connects various academic disciplines with Islamic values. The implementation of knowledge integration within the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum can be achieved by linking religious teachings with real-life situations, science, technology, and contextual learning. Through knowledge integration, students are expected to develop a balance between intellectual, spiritual, and social competencies, thereby minimizing the dichotomy between religious and general sciences in contemporary Islamic education.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of service quality and its effect on customer satisfaction at PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) through a qualitative literature review approach. Drawing on empirical studies published between 2019 and 2025, this research analyzes how KAI has applied the five dimensions of the SERVQUAL model reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles across its service delivery systems, including ticketing, station management, and on-train experience. Key findings from the synthesized literature indicate that service quality directly influences passenger satisfaction (?=0.74) and trust (?=0.29), while passenger satisfaction further mediates trust formation (?=0.64) (Levyda, 2021). Digital service channels, particularly the Access by KAI application, have become a central driver of service quality improvement, with studies confirming positive and significant effects on ticket sales and passenger satisfaction (Azizah Sudrartono, 2025). However, gap analysis of the Access by KAI application reveals negative service gaps across all five SERVQUAL dimensions, particularly in responsiveness (gap = ?0.73) and empathy (gap = ?0.61), indicating persistent areas requiring improvement (Khoiriyah, 2025). Employee service quality remains the primary determinant of station and on-train quality, while booking process ease determines ticketing quality. This study concludes that KAI must continue integrating digital innovation with human-centered service standards to achieve sustainable improvement in customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Ankle injury is one of the most common musculoskeletal injuries among physically active university students, and one of its most detrimental functional consequences is a reduction in balance capacity due to impairment of the proprioceptive system. This study aimed to analyze the effect of proprioceptive training on improving balance among students of the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Medan (FIKK Unimed) who had experienced mild ankle injuries. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed, involving 20 students who participated in an intervention program conducted twice per week for 8 weeks. Balance was assessed using a standardized functional balance test battery with scores ranging from 0 to 100. The results showed an increase in the mean balance score from 60.45 (pretest) to 68.70 (posttest), representing an average improvement of 8.25 points. A paired-samples t-test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = 10.217, p = 0.000), with a Cohen’s d effect size of 2.28, indicating a large effect. These findings consistently demonstrate that structured proprioceptive training can significantly restore balance deficits following mild ankle injury and provide clinically meaningful improvements.
