This study deeply examines the learning of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) for children with special needs in the context of learning concentration at SLB Smart School Pacet, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. The study focuses on three main aspects: (1) how is the learning concentration of children with special needs in PAI learning at SLB Smart School Pacet; (2) how is PAI learning for children with special needs at SLB Smart School Pacet; and (3) what are the supporting factors of PAI learning for children with special needs in learning concentration at SLB Smart School Pacet. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving the principal, PAI teacher, classroom teachers, parents, and students. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was tested through source and technique triangulation. The results show that: (1) the learning concentration of children with special needs at SLB Smart School Pacet generally ranges from 0–10 minutes, but children with hearing impairment (tunarungu) and intellectual disability (tunagrahita) have a longer concentration span of 10–15 minutes; (2) PAI learning applies an expository strategy combined with various learning media including educational videos, visual aids (posters), and direct real-life/environmental media; and (3) supporting factors include internal factors (learning interest and learning motivation from within the students) and external factors (harmonious relationships between teachers and students, and between teachers and parents). This research contributes to the development of inclusive, humanistic, and adaptive PAI learning strategies and media for children with special needs in special education institutions..

Abstract

The global smartphone market has become increasingly competitive, particularly in the premium segment where technological innovation and brand reputation play crucial roles. Despite facing U.S. trade restrictions since 2019, Huawei has strengthened its position as a major competitor to Apple, especially in China. This study aims to analyze Huawei’s global marketing strategy in enhancing international competitiveness by examining the role of technological innovation in building consumer trust and influencing purchase intention. Using a qualitative literature review approach, this study analyzes academic studies, market reports, and industry publications from 2018–2025. The findings reveal that Huawei’s competitiveness is driven by premium positioning, technological innovation, and localization strategies. Innovations such as HarmonyOS, proprietary chipsets, artificial intelligence, and flagship smartphones significantly strengthen consumer trust and purchase intention. In China, consumers increasingly prefer Huawei over Apple due to perceptions of technological advancement, domestic innovation, and stronger national brand attachment. These findings suggest that innovation-driven trust and adaptive marketing strategies are key factors in Huawei’s international competitiveness.

Abstract

This study examines the phenomenon of “mikonka”—the rising trend of remaining unmarried among the Japanese population—through the lens of human security, positioning capitalism not as the sole cause but as an enabling structure that reshapes the conditions under which individuals make decisions regarding marriage. This study will employ a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design and a single case study of Japan as the primary unit of analysis, covering the time period from the 1990s to the 2020s. The data used were collected through document analysis of academic literature, official government publications, and reports from international institutions, and analyzed using an emancipatory human security framework combined with the protection-empowerment pillars of CHS 2003, Giddens’ structuration theory, and the concept of enabling structures at four levels: material, normative, ideological, and institutional. The findings indicate that capitalism transforms marriage from a social norm into a high-risk economic project through the precariousness of work, while simultaneously commodifying relational needs through alternative markets, as empirically evidenced by the solo economy projected to exceed 100 trillion yen and the AI companion market reaching 2,167.6 million USD by 2025. This study also finds that mikonka produces slow violence against human security across three dimensions: living insecurity that threatens economic security, kodokushi as a systemic indicator of weakened personal security, and atomization that erodes community security. Projectively, the state’s regulatory response has proven inadequate because it operates at the level of individual incentives without addressing structural roots, as evidenced by the decline in Japan’s TFR amidst the most expansive family policies in East Asia.

Abstract

The implementation of a digital-based performance management system through the E-Kinerja application is a government effort to improve the productivity and accountability of Civil Servants (ASN). This study aims to analyze the strategy for improving ASN performance through the E-Kinerja application using strategic management indicators proposed by Robbins and Coulter (2016), including mission, objectives, and strategy identification, internal and external environmental analysis, strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving structural officials, personnel staff, and ASN users of the E-Kinerja application. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the strategy for improving ASN performance through E-Kinerja has been implemented effectively. Leadership support, the facilitator system in each unit, intensive communication, and continuous monitoring and feedback are the main supporting factors. Internal strengths include human resources that are adaptive to technology, while differences in digital literacy remain a challenge. Externally, national regulations and regional digitalization policies serve as opportunities, whereas public pressure and technical system constraints pose potential threats. Continuous evaluation utilizing E-Kinerja data supports performance improvement and strategic decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the social work intervention process for a neglected elderly client at the Social Protection Home of Medan City, analyze the implementation of a case work method based on the strengths-based approach, and identify changes following the intervention. A qualitative case study design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and BPSS (Biological, Psychological, Social, Spiritual) assessment. The intervention followed the stages of engagement, intake, contract, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, and termination. The findings revealed that the client experienced physical limitations, low motivation, limited family support, and restricted social interaction. The strengths-based approach helped identify the client’s strengths and potential, while Motivational Interviewing enhanced intrinsic motivation and self-confidence. Evaluation using the CIPP model showed that the intervention was appropriate to the client’s needs and resulted in improved motivation, social participation, and psychological well-being. The study highlights that integrating case work, the strengths-based approach, and Motivational Interviewing is effective in improving the social functioning of neglected older adults.

Abstract

Nowadays, digitalization of payment systems has become an important pillar in accelerating economic integration in Southeast Asia. This study analyzes the efficiency of cross-border trade through the QRIS cooperation between Indonesia and Thailand, which has been integrated since 2022. Using the framework of Institutional Liberalism, this study examines how regional payment connectivity can reduce transaction costs and improve exchange rate transparency. The findings show that the collaboration between QRIS and PromptPay supports the use of local currencies through Local Currency Settlement, thereby reducing dependence on the US Dollar and international payment networks such as Visa and Mastercard. This integration has a positive impact on tourism and MSMEs by helping small business actors reach foreign consumers more practically and efficiently. Although challenges remain in financial literacy and digital infrastructure readiness, this model can serve as a blueprint for ASEAN’s digital economic sovereignty.

Abstract

This study explores service quality dimensions and customer experience on the Shopee e-commerce platform through a qualitative literature review approach. Drawing on seven empirical studies published between 2022 and 2025, this research synthesizes findings on how service quality measured through the SERVQUAL and e-SERVQUAL frameworks shapes customer satisfaction and loyalty in the Shopee ecosystem. Key findings indicate that service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction across multiple research contexts, with explained variance ranging from 65.4% to 76.9% (Erna AR, 2022; Aulia Dwi Sartika Murniyati, 2025). The Customer Satisfaction Index analysis by Nur Rahmah Hidayah et al. (2024) recorded an overall satisfaction score of 81.57% for Shopee, with responsiveness identified as the most critical dimension requiring improvement. Customer experience and e-service quality are further confirmed as significant drivers of repurchase intention and loyalty (Surya Chandra et al., 2022; Melandri, 2024). Despite overall positive satisfaction levels, persistent gaps exist in delivery speed, complaint handling responsiveness, and data privacy assurance. This study concludes that Shopee must continuously enhance its service quality across all five SERVQUAL dimensions, with particular focus on responsiveness and empathy, to sustain customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty in Indonesia's increasingly competitive e-commerce market.
