Abstract

Teacher organizational commitment is a fundamental factor in determining the success of vocational education institutions, particularly at SMK Swasta Nurul Amaliyah. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and job satisfaction on teachers’ organizational commitment. Organizational culture is understood as a system of shared values, norms, and beliefs, while job satisfaction reflects teachers’ emotional responses to both financial and non-financial aspects of their work. The research employs a quantitative approach with a causal associative design, focusing on cause-and-effect relationships among variables. The population consists of all 50 teachers at SMK Swasta Nurul Amaliyah, with the saturated sampling technique (total sampling) applied so that the entire population serves as the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale, observations, and supporting documentation. The research instruments were tested for validity and reliability, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. The findings are expected to show that organizational culture has a positive effect on teachers’ commitment, where values of discipline, work ethic, and religiosity strengthen their emotional attachment to the school. Job satisfaction is also predicted to have a significant impact, both from intrinsic aspects (recognition, work comfort) and extrinsic aspects (compensation, facilities). Simultaneously, organizational culture and job satisfaction are anticipated to contribute substantially to teachers’ organizational commitment, reflected in loyalty, dedication, and willingness to work beyond minimum standards. The implications of this study highlight the importance of fostering an inclusive organizational culture and establishing a fair job satisfaction system to enhance teacher commitment.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of human resources in the oil palm plantation sector, particularly harvesting employees who directly contribute to the company's productivity. The main problems identified were the high workload and varying levels of discipline that have the potential to reduce work productivity. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of workload and discipline on the work productivity of harvesting employees at PTPN IV Regional 1 Tanah Raja Estate. The study employed a quantitative research approach with a population consisting of all 111 harvesting employees. The sample was determined using the Slovin formula with a 5% margin of error, resulting in 86 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that workload had a significant effect on work productivity (t = 2.830; sig = 0.006 0.05), while discipline did not have a significant effect (t = 0.188; sig = 0.851 0.05). Simultaneously, workload and discipline had a significant effect on productivity (F = 4.632; sig = 0.012 0.05). The R² value of 0.100 indicates that these two variables explained only 10% of the variation in productivity, while the remaining 90% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

Airport security is a critical national infrastructure highly vulnerable to acts of unlawful interference. Drawing on the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory, the reliability of airport security depends on the strategic integration between human asset capabilities and physical security assets. This study was conducted at Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, Jakarta, which holds a strategic role as a national vital object in the capital. Objective: To analyze the direct impact of Aviation Security (AVSEC) personnel competence and security facilities on aviation security, as well as testing the mediating effect of security facilities. Method: This quantitative study involved a population of 130 AVSEC staff at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, with a sample of 98 respondents selected via probability sampling. Data analysis was executed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Results: AVSEC Personnel Competence has a very strong and significant direct impact on Security Facilities (beta = 0.889, T = 41.556, p = 0.000) and Aviation Security (beta = 0.708, T = 5.609, p = 0.000). Security Facilities significantly influence Aviation Security (beta = 0.252, T = 1.929, p = 0.054) at the 10% significance level. The mediating effect of Security Facilities is also partially significant (beta = 0.224, T = 1.923, p = 0.054). The structural model exhibits exceptional explanatory power, explaining 88.2% of the variance in Aviation Security (R² = 0.882). Conclusion: Personnel competence acts as the primary driver that optimizes the utility of physical security facilities to ensure sustainable civil aviation safety.

Abstract

Community empowerment activities are one of the efforts to improve community skills and economic independence through the utilization of available local potential. One of the skills that can be developed is dishwashing liquid production, as it is a household necessity with potential to be developed into a small-scale household business. This study aims to describe the implementation of dishwashing liquid production training as well as the improvement of skills and understanding among the people of Sukaraja Village regarding the business opportunities that can be developed from this activity. The results show that the training provided the community with practical experience in understanding the materials, production processes, product packaging, and utilization of dishwashing liquid for household needs. Direct practical activities also helped improve participants' understanding and skills in independently producing the product. In addition, the community gained insight into the potential development of dishwashing liquid as a household business through appropriate product packaging and marketing. This activity demonstrates that skills-based training can serve as a form of community empowerment that connects skill development with opportunities for local economic activities.

Abstract

This study examines the failure to implement international standards in addressing the health security of Afghan women following the Taliban regime’s takeover in 2021. Although Afghanistan ratified CEDAW in 2003, policies implemented at the domestic level have systematically restricted women’s access to health services, including a ban on working as healthcare workers, restrictions on mobility without a male guardian (mahram), and the closure of health centers. This study employs a qualitative approach and descriptive-analytical data analysis. The theoretical framework used is Acharya’s “norm localization,” combined with a constructivist perspective to explain why international norms have failed to be implemented. The results indicate that this failure is not due to weaknesses in international legal mechanisms, but rather to the absence of a norm localization process at the domestic level. The Taliban, as a local actor, refused to build congruence between CEDAW and the local values they adhere to, resulting in a total rejection of international norms. Consequently, the health of Afghan women has deteriorated drastically, as reflected in the high rate of anemia among pregnant women (31.6%) and widespread malnutrition. This study recommends a bottom-up approach that builds the capacity of local actors, as well as the separation of humanitarian aid from political recognition of the Taliban.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) approach in improving Computational Thinking (CT) skills among fourth-grade students at SDN 213/IX Markanding. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method conducted using a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design without a control group. The subjects of this study were 25 fourth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques included documentation, and a CT ability test consisting of 10 essay questions covering abstraction, generalization, decomposition, algorithm, and evaluation indicators. The results revealed that the implementation of the PjBL-STEM model significantly improved students' Computational Thinking skills. The average score increased from 44.92 in the pretest stage (low category) to 68.72 in the posttest stage (medium category). Statistical analysis using the Paired Sample T-Test yielded a significance value of 0.01 (p 0.05), which confirms that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Furthermore, the overall Normalized Gain (N-Gain) score reached 0.4448, falls into the "Medium" criteria. Therefore, the Project Based Learning model with a STEM approach proved effective in improving Computational Thinking skills in elementary school students during science and social studies learning.

Abstract

Rural women play a broader role than simply managing the household. In addition to being responsible for domestic work, they are actively involved in family economic decision-making, such as determining income allocation, household expenditures, and investment in children's education. This study aims to Some women also determine strategies for managing fishermen's catches for sale or storage, as well as provide advice on long-term financial planning. On the social side, women participate in decisions related to family health, choosing their children's schools, and organizing community social activities. Their presence in informal community forums, such as social gatherings (arisan) or farmer/fisherman group meetings, allows them to voice their aspirations and influence decisions that impact family welfare. However, this study found several obstacles that limit women's participation. First, patriarchal norms and gender stereotypes remain strong, so that final decisions in the family often remain in the hands of their husbands. Second, economic dependence on their husbands makes women feel less empowered in making strategic decisions. Third, high domestic burdens limit their time and energy for active involvement in economic and social activities. Fourth, limited access to information, education, and economic networks reduces women's opportunities to make better, knowledge-based decisions. These findings confirm that women's roles in fishing families are shaped by the interaction between socioeconomic structures, gender constructions, and local culture. Increasing women's participation requires interventions that consider gender equality, economic empowerment, and reduced domestic burdens, so that women can make more effective decisions for the well-being of their families and communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of religious authority in the era of Generative AI by examining literacy, trust, and verification of Qur’anic and Hadith information among Generation Z in South Tapanuli Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive-analytical method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving Generation Z users of Generative AI for accessing religious information and were subsequently analyzed thematically through the perspectives of Qur’an-Hadith studies, Islamic law, digital literacy, and the sociology of religion. The findings indicate that Generative AI has emerged as an alternative medium for acquiring religious knowledge because it provides fast, accessible, interactive, and personalized access to information. However, technological proficiency does not necessarily correspond to the ability to evaluate the validity of religious information. Trust in AI-generated responses tends to be influenced by ease of access, clarity of language, relevance of responses, and users’ experiences, while scholarly authority remains associated with ulama, ustadz, teachers, religious texts, and other religious institutions. Verification is therefore essential for distinguishing information that merely appears convincing from information grounded in scholarly authority and sound knowledge. The principle of tabayyun (careful verification) in Q.S. al-Hujurat [49]:6, the prohibition against following that of which one has no knowledge in Q.S. al-Isra’ [17]:36, and the instruction to refer to ahl al-dhikr (those possessing knowledge) in Q.S. al-Nahl [16]:43 provide normative foundations for the verification process. The study concludes that Generative AI does not simply replace religious authority but rather reconfigures patterns of access, trust, verification, and the legitimization of religious knowledge among Generation Z.
