Abstract

The role of technology in modern Islamic education management is crucial in improving administrative efficiency and teaching quality. By utilising school management applications and other digital platforms, Islamic education institutions can manage administrative processes, student data, and exam administration more effectively and securely. Technology also allows for the diversification of teaching methods through the use of digital resources such as learning videos, e-books and interactive materials, thereby reaching students' various learning styles and enriching their learning experience. However, the integration of these technologies must be done carefully to ensure that they are compatible with Islamic values. Challenges such as the selection of Shariah-compliant platforms, adequate infrastructure, and the technical skills of teachers and staff must be addressed. Support from all stakeholders, including the government, educational institutions, and the community, is needed to support the successful implementation of this technology. With a wise and measured approach, technology can be an invaluable tool to improve the quality and efficiency of modern Islamic education management.

Abstract

Islamic Education Management is a process of planning, organising, directing, and supervising in educational institutions based on Islamic values and teachings. The aim is to create an effective and efficient learning environment, as well as forming students who are not only superior in science and skills, but also have character and morals in accordance with Islamic teachings. This management covers various aspects of education, including curriculum, teaching methods, human resource development, infrastructure, and community relations, all of which are integrated with Islamic principles to achieve holistic and spiritually valuable educational goals. The research method used is a literature study. The results show that Islamic education management has an influence on student character development, which can be seen in four main aspects: (1) the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum and learning, (2) the development of teacher and staff competencies oriented towards Islamic character, (3) the management of facilities and infrastructure that support character building, and (4) the creation of an Islamic school environment. This study concludes that the implementation of effective Islamic education management can substantially improve the character building of students who are noble and ready to face global challenges while adhering to Islamic values.

Abstract

The Pesantren-Based Management Model in Islamic Education Management is an innovative approach that integrates the traditional pesantren education system with modern education management principles. This model combines the strength of Islamic values and traditions that have been rooted in the pesantren system with contemporary learning methods, the latest educational technology, and a curriculum that is relevant to the demands of the times. The goal is to create a holistic, effective, and adaptive Islamic education system that is able to prepare students intellectually, spiritually, and practically to face the challenges of the modern world while maintaining Islamic identity and values. This model emphasises the balance between religious and general education, character development, as well as enhancing soft skills, so as to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable and noble, but also able to contribute significantly in a global society. The research method used is literature. The results showed that the Pesantren-Based Management Model has significant advantages in integrating traditional Islamic values with modern education management principles. The model successfully combines the strengths of the pesantren system with contemporary educational innovations, creating a holistic approach that emphasises the balance between intellectual, spiritual and practical education. The flexibility and adaptability of this model in the face of changing times, as well as its focus on character building and soft skills development, make it highly relevant to address the needs of Islamic education in the global era. This study concludes that the Pesantren-Based Management Model offers an effective and sustainable solution in the management of Islamic education, with the potential to become a reference for the development of a progressive Islamic education system that remains rooted in fundamental Islamic values.

Abstract

This research examines the role of digital learning tools in improving literacy skills through a systematic review of the literature. The results show that digital technologies, such as interactive learning apps, e-books and multimedia platforms, have a significant positive impact on the development of literacy skills at different levels of education. These tools offer a more engaging and interactive learning experience, increasing students' interest and comprehension in reading. In addition, the use of digital tools allows for more personalised and adaptive learning to the needs of individual students. However, the successful implementation of digital technology relies heavily on supporting qualities such as equitable access to technology, adequate teacher training, and appropriate evaluation and approaches. This research emphasises the importance of collaborative efforts from educational institutions, teaching staff, parents and the surrounding environment in maximising the potential of digital learning tools to effectively improve literacy skills.

Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the effect of Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices (CTRP) on minority students' academic achievement, engagement, and social-emotional well-being. By analysing existing research, this study reveals that the implementation of CTRP, which involves acknowledging students' cultural identities, incorporating diverse perspectives into the curriculum, and adapting instruction, significantly improves educational outcomes for culturally marginalised students. However, the success of CTRP depends on teachers' cultural competence, institutional support and availability of resources. This study highlights the need for further efforts in teacher training, curriculum development and research to advance the understanding and implementation of CTRP, with the ultimate goal of closing the achievement gap and promoting equity in education for all students, regardless of their background. The findings provide valuable insights for education practitioners, policymakers and researchers who seek to create more inclusive and diversity-supportive learning environments.

Abstract

This study examines the interplay between sex, politeness, and stereotypes in Enola Holmes (2020) and Enola Holmes 2 (2022), focusing on Enola's interactions with Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes. Using Brown and Levinson's (1987) politeness theory and Butler’s (1990) gender performativity framework, the research analyzes how Enola employs politeness and directness to navigate social expectations. The findings reveal that Enola challenges traditional gender stereotypes by using assertive language with Sherlock, countering the idea that women are inherently indirect and deferential. Her polite exchanges with Mycroft, meanwhile, demonstrate that politeness can function as resistance, not just submission. This analysis highlights the adaptability of gendered communication, where politeness and assertiveness are used contextually rather than being tied to sex. Ultimately, the research shows how media like Enola Holmes both reflects and challenges societal expectations about gendered communication, offering a more nuanced view of language, gender, and power.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of English proficiency on the performance of secretarial students, focusing on writing, speaking, listening, and reading skills. Data was collected from 22 students in a Secretaryship program through a descriptive survey. The findings reveal that while a portion of students are confident in their English abilities, many face challenges, particularly in writing professional emails and speaking in class discussions. Listening and reading comprehension also emerged as areas needing improvement. The majority of students recognized that their English proficiency moderately to significantly affects their academic performance in secretarial tasks. The study concludes that enhancing English proficiency through structured practice, feedback, and interactive activities is crucial for preparing students for professional secretarial roles, with recommendations including more writing assignments, role-playing, and speaking exercises to build competence and confidence.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of the flipped classroom model on student engagement and academic achievement through a systematic literature review. The flipped classroom model, which requires students to study materials independently outside of class and use class time for interactive activities, has become a much-discussed pedagogical innovation. Through the analysis of various relevant studies, the findings of this research show that flipped classroom significantly increases students' engagement in the learning process and has a positive impact on their academic achievement. Students feel more motivated and prepared to join class discussions, understand the material more deeply, and show improvements in academic outcomes. This conclusion highlights the importance of implementing the flipped classroom model as an effective strategy in improving education quality and student learning performance.
