Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the “Ayo Ke Sinjai” application as a communication medium for the Sinjai Regency Tourism and Culture Office. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Findings show that the application has not functioned effectively as an official communication channel. Public adoption is low, and residents prefer social media to obtain tourism updates. This gap is largely attributable to ineffective socialization: promotional efforts concentrated on stakeholders during the launch and initial dissemination, without sustained engagement or broad targeting of community groups who are the primary users and evaluators of the information system. From a management perspective, capacity-building is required to ensure routine, effective application administration. Training for staff must be supported by a dedicated budget to cover maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting. Without these resources, the application risks remaining dormant and failing to deliver its intended public service. To address these shortcomings, the Tourism and Culture Office should commit to reactivating “Ayo Ke Sinjai” as a central hub that integrates tourism activities and simplifies access to information. Priority actions include strengthening management resources, instituting regular content and feature updates, and embedding user feedback mechanisms so the public can provide suggestions and report issues directly within the app. Complementary outreach should leverage both online and offline channels, partnering with communities, schools, MSMEs, and local creators to drive adoption. With sustained commitment, adequate funding, and participatory engagement, “Ayo Ke Sinjai” can evolve into an effective two-way communication platform for Sinjai’s tourism ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of deep learning training on teachers' abilities in developing interactive teaching modules at MAN Insan Cendekia West Halmahera. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, with all teachers who participated in the training (n = 25) as samples. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure teachers' abilities, a perception questionnaire to determine teachers' assessment of the training, and observations of the practice in creating interactive teaching modules. The results showed that the average teacher pre-test score of 56.2 increased to 80.6 in the post-test, with an average increase of 24.4 points or 43.4%, which was statistically significant (p < 0.05). Teachers also stated that the training was useful, relevant, and easy to implement in the learning process. Practical observations showed that teachers were able to create interactive teaching modules with media integration, adaptive quizzes, and animations that facilitate student understanding. These findings indicate that deep learning training is effective in improving teachers' skills and confidence in developing technology-based teaching modules. This research has important implications for teacher capacity development and learning innovation in schools.

Abstract

Aircraft operational activities, especially in the airport area, are a major source of noise that can affect environmental comfort and health, including aircraft operations at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport. This study aims to determine the noise level due to aircraft operations and map the noise distribution pattern as a basis for environmental management planning. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method. Measurements of noise and environmental conditions (wind speed, wind direction, and air humidity) were carried out at a distance of 0 m, 30 m,175 m, 300 m, 500 m, and 1 000 m. The noise level was measured using the Sound Level Meter (SLM) measuring instrument in decibel units. Analysis and mapping were done using Surfer 28 software. The results showed that the noise level ranged from 44 to 97 dBA. At a distance of less than 100 m, the noise level threshold value, as stipulated in the Minister of Environment Decree Number 48 of 1996. In addition, the resulting noise distribution shows a radial pattern. The radial pattern is characterized by the spread of sound that spreads from one point source in a circular manner, and the intensity tends to decrease as the distance increases.

Abstract

In Islamic schooling, the sunnah Duha prayer is often promoted as a vehicle for spiritual growth and character formation, yet students’ awareness and regular practice vary widely. This study explores how fiqh teachers translate doctrine into daily habit by nurturing students’ awareness of the Duha prayer within a junior Islamic school setting. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach at MTs Al-Ishlahiyah Binjai, data were gathered through classroom and prayer-time observations, semi-structured interviews with fiqh teachers and students (Grades VII–IX), and document analysis (lesson plans, school worship schedules, attendance logs). Iterative coding and thematic analysis were used to develop an explanatory model of teacher roles. The analysis identifies an actionable 3M+R role set—Modeling (teacher exemplarity and congregational presence), Motivation (spiritual meaning-making, goal-setting, and encouragement), Monitoring (routine checks, gentle reminders, and supportive supervision), and Reinforcement (feedback, recognition, and reflective discussions). These practices work best when embedded in school routines (fixed Duha times, shared spaces, clear expectations) and supported by consistent communication with parents. Students reported clearer understanding of the Duha prayer’s benefits (discipline, focus, emotional calm), increased readiness to participate, and greater regularity of practice. Fiqh teachers can effectively raise students’ awareness and participation in the Duha prayer when pedagogical exemplarity, structured routines, and supportive reinforcement are aligned. The 3M+R framework offers a practical guide for Islamic schools to systematize worship habituation while strengthening students’ spiritual literacy and character.

Abstract

This research has successfully uncovered the pedagogical mechanisms that support the instillation of religious moderation values in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in secondary schools through a multi-site qualitative case study with a touch of classroom ethnography in four fictional schools in Mojokerto. Data were collected through repeated observations, semi-structured interviews with teachers, students, and school management, and analysis of learning documents and digital artifacts. Thematic-comparative analysis shows that the internalization of religious moderation does not rely on a single strategy, but rather on a consistent orchestration: contextual task design that stimulates perspective-taking, strengthening psychological safety with safe language and agreed-upon dialogue rules, mediating differences anchored in shared norms (Pancasila, class rules, the maqashid framework), and formative assessment that assesses the process (active listening, clarifying questions, polite objections). The visible impact is a shift in student language from the right-wrong dichotomy to the reason-impact-context dichotomy, increased equal participation, and the emergence of specific micro-action commitments, especially in online behavior. Variations in device policies, LMS utilization, dormitory culture, and professional collaboration moderate the effectiveness of practices. This study offers a process model linking macro-level religious moderation policies with micro-level practices in PAI classrooms and recommends strengthening training in case-based task design, tension mediation techniques, and process assessment toolkits in teacher professional development and school governance.
