Abstract

Detergent is a clothing cleanser that contains surfactants. Surfactants are active substances that are in the composition of detergents and are able to remove dirt on clothes. The effect of excessive use of detergents can damage the gills of fish, causing the survival of fish contained in water bodies cannot survive. If the water is polluted by high enough detergent, it can cause the tilapia icon to not be able to adapt until it finally collapses and dies. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of pollutant (detergent) on the survival of tilapia and the concentration of the detergent that had the most effect and at what time the tilapia was lethal. The method in this study is a laboratory experiment. This research was conducted in the MIPA laboratory at IAIN Ternate with a room temperature of 29◦C, which was designed for 2 repetitions. The sample of tilapia used was 40 fish with a length of 9-10cm totaling 20 fish in 2 replications. Quantitative data analysis using the Survival Rate (SR) formula or survival. The results of the study found that higher levels of detergent could cause tilapia to be unable to survive more than four days because tilapia were only able to adapt to the lowest detergent concentration range. Tilapia will die if they are not able to adapt to the presence of detergent doses in water bodies and decreased dissolved oxygen.Keywords: Pollution Materials (Detergent), Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus),     Survival.

Abstract

Settlements that develop around rivers will result in problems with the disposal of household waste to the riverbanks. There is quite a lot of household waste that enters the river. This study aims to determine the pollution index of the tributaries of the Kahayan Mendawai 7 Palangka Raya River to the fish in the river. The analysis was carried out using water quality analysis based on the MPN (Most Probable Number) Coliform, consisting of three test stages, namely an estimation test using Lactose Broth (KL) medium, a confirmation test using Brilliant Green Lactose Broth (BGLBB) medium, and a certainty test. using Mac Concey Agar (MCA) medium. This type of research is a direct survey method and laboratory analysis. this research was carried out in October 2021. The results of this study were obtained based on the formula and table of MPN values, three series of tubes were obtained with the total MPN Cokiform value in the estimating test of 2,400 cells/100 ml sample, the MPN value confirming test 28 cells/100 ml sample, and the number of Escherichia coli colonies in the certainty test were 69 colonies, so the water quality of the tributary of the Kahayan Mendawai 7 Ujung City of Palangka Raya was in the category of polluted and unfit for consumption.Keywords: Household Waste, Water Quality

Abstract

Traditional knowledge of rural communities about medicinal plants should be documented by academics ar researchers and even local people as a legend from their ancestors that should be protected and preserved. The method used in this study is using descriptive qualitative method, data collection techniques through free interviews purposive sampling technique. Respondents in this study consisted of village heads who represented the community and had knowledge of medicinal plants, a healer as a person who often treated sick people and one patient who shared his experiences when using medicinal plants to treat his illness. The research method above can be explained as follows: (1) Interviews were conducted with the people of Tabangame Village to find out the types of plants, their processing and use as traditional medicine, (2) The local name, its characteristics, the parts used, how to use it and how it is used are recorded, (3) Documentation of each plant used by the community as a treatment.  There are four types of plants used for traditional medicine, namely jatropha or balacai (Jatropha curcas L) can treat shortness of breath, poison and internal medicine, betel nut or siri (Piper betle) can treat hives , Matoa or motoa (Pometia Pinnata) can treat ulcers and itching and cashew or yakis fruit (Anacardium occidentale) can treat cough. Abstract

Metacognitive skills assist pupils in achieving learning independence. The present study aimed to identify the metacognitive skill profile of pre-service biology teachers at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bone in South Sulawesi, Indonesia. This quantitative descriptive study involved 50 Biology students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Bone in South Sulawesi. The students were randomly selected from all students enrolled in the university’s biology education study program. The study took place in November 2021. Essay questions were used to assess the participants’ metacognitive skills, while the metacognitive awareness inventory (MAI) was used to measure the participants’ metacognitive awareness. According to data analysis, 8% of pre-service biology teachers have well-developed metacognitive skills, 28% have developing metacognitive skills, 48% have “start to develop” metacognitive skills, and 16% have “very risky” metacognitive skills. Meanwhile, the metacognitive awareness scores for pre-service teachers on planning, monitoring, evaluating, and revising were 58.56, 49.87, 42.39, and 37.73, respectively. These scores are classified as low. Thus, metacognitive skills of the students must be fostered using active and innovative learning models. The findings of this study provide insights for future research on how to improve the quality of prospective biology teacher graduates as they prepare to teach in the twenty-first century and the era of digital globalization. Keywords: profile, metacognitive skills, pre-service biology teachers

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students through educational games with puzzle media in science subjects at SDN 2 Pinceppute. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out for 2 cycles. The subjects studied were 16 grade IV students at SDN 2 Pinceppute, consisting of 9 male students and 7 female students. Data collection was carried out using a student learning achievement test instrument. Data analysis used is descriptive data analysis. The results of the study show that educational games through puzzle media can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SDN 2 Pinceppute, Palopo City. This can be seen from the indicators of research success, where ≥ 75% of students have achieved the KKM score (70). In cycle I, the number of students who had completed were 8 students (50%) and those who had not completed were 8 students (50%). Cycle II increased to 13 students (81.25%) and 3 students (18.75%) did not complete. It can be concluded that student learning outcomes have increased by 31.25%. Abstract

The importance of developing student worksheets (LKS) based on the results of the identification of gastropods in Indari Village is very useful for students to know the importance of the role of gastropods in our environment, therefore the student worksheets can be used to present contextual material, namely developing students' prior knowledge, and also invites students to think critically through practicum in the teaching and learning process takes place. In order for this subject to be well received by students, it is necessary to have a student worksheet (LKS) which aims to accommodate and encourage students' thinking skills and support students to be able to think for themselves, analyze themselves, and arrange the final results of student activities according to developments. student psychology. The type of research used in this research is research and development which consists of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Based on the results of research conducted in the mangrove forest area of Indari Village, it can be found as many as 15 types of gastropods with different characteristics and shapes. The total number of gastropods found was 547 individuals. The most common species found was Nerita sp with 82 individuals while the least species found was Chicereus capueinus with 7 individuals. The development of LKS teaching materials using the 4-D model is feasible based on the results of the validation carried out by material expert validators and design experts.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of long fermentation time banana peel (Musa x paradiciaca ABB (cv. "Pisang Siem”) to the amount of alcohol. This research was conducted at Greenhouse FKIP UHAMKA in August-September 2015. The method used is experimental methods with completely randomized design (CRD). In this research there were 5 treatment each 6 replications. The treatment are P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5 with long fermentation time for 1 day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days and 9 days. The results showed the level of alcohol in the treatment are 14,85% P1,19,33% P2,24,08% P3,28,23% P4 and17,21% P5.Statistical analysis showed that the treatment effect on parameters of alcohol. The high alcohol measure indicated in the treatment P4 is 28.23%. It can be concluded that the long fermentation time banana peel effect on alcohol measure. The results of the study of the effect of fermentation time on alcohol content showed a difference in the treatment. This may be because the microbes are in the exponential phase. The exponential phase is a phase when microbes experience rapid growth in which the number of cells increases exponentially with time. Abstract

Invasive alien plant species are plant species that occupy and dominate an area so that they become one of the threats to damage ecosystems, habitats, flora and fauna. The purpose of the study was to determine the types of invasive alien plants found in the Ir. H. Djuanda Forest Park and to find out the potential use of invasive alien plant species for the community. The research design used exploratory method combined with line transect. The results showed that there were 50 species belonging to 27 families, especially in the Compositae (13 species), Poaceae (5 species), and Acanthaceae (4 species). Based on the species composition in each block, the species found in the Utilization Block (29 species) were more diverse than the Protection Block (27 species) and Collection Block (10 species). Based on the literature review, the invasive alien plant species found in the Ir. H. Djuanda Forest Park has the potential to be developed as a animal feed, medicinal plant, processed food, and ornamental plant.  Keywords: Species composition, Potential, Invasive alien plants species

Abstract

Situ Sipatahunan is a lake located in the Baleendah area, Bandung Regency, West Java, has an important function for the surrounding community, especially during the dry season, however, Sipatahunan Situ has an open water system that allows disturbance to the water conditions. To find out this, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the waters which can be done biologically ,physical and chemical conditions of the waters. Therefore the purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of zooplankton and water quality conditions based on the physical and chemical parameters of the waters. This research was conducted from March to April 2023 by taking samples at 3 stations (Inlet, Central and Outlet). The physical and chemical parameters of the waters observed were temperature, brightness, pH, DO, BOD, nitrate and phosphate. Zooplankton samples were identified at the Aquatic Ecology Laboratory, Padjadjaran University, Center for Environment & Sustainability Science (CESS). The results showed that the diversity of zooplankton in Situ Sipatahunan consisted of 26 species, 10 classes and 5 phyla. The diversity index values for each station are different, namely station 1 (H'=1.2), station 2 (H'=1.3), and station 3 (H'=0.9). Based on the physical and chemical parameters of the waters, the condition of the waters of Sipatahunan Lake is included in the slightly polluted category.Keywords: Diversity, Situ Sipatahunan, Zooplankton

Abstract

ABSTRAKIlmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir logis dan sistematis untuk menambah pengetahuan dan pemahaman konsep-konsep ilmiah. Namun kenyataannya pelajaran mata pelajaran IPA tidak berjalan dengan baik karena kurangnya kerjasama peseta didik, sehingga pembelajaran masih dalam kendali guru. Dalam setiap pertemuan kelas IX SMA Madani Makassar, peserta didik hanya mendapat catatan terus menerus dan sedikit penjelasan tentang materi sehingga peserta didik bosan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan melaksanakan tahap tindakan siklus I dan menggunakan model pembelajaran kelompok Investigaton. Model pembelajaran ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas IPA. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan dan menyempurnakan praktik proses pembelajaran di kelas. Rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas teridiri dari beberapa siklus dan memiliki dua varian, namun fokus utamanya adalah pemulihan, observasi, atau meditasi. Saat melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas, guru mengamati pembelajaran melalui refleksi dengan tujuan untuk memperbaiki pembelajaran agar hasil belajar siswa terus meningkat. . Pada penelitian ini dilakukan dua mata kuliah dengan menggunakan desain studi kohort untuk memastikan bahwa setiap mata kuliah yang ditawarkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada setiap mata kuliah.Berdasarkan hasil belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kelompok atau Group Investigation (GI) pada siklus I, hasil belajar klasikal siswa pada kategori sedang mencapai 45,4%. Pada siklus tahap II hasil belajar siswa pada pendidikan klasikal dengan kategori sangat tinggi meningkat menjadi 81,82%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model belajar kelompok materi sistem reproduksi manusia di kelas IX SMP Madani Makassar dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: model, pembelajaran, group investigation (GI)
