Abstract

Education plays an important role in building a country. The better the education in a country, the more developed the country will be. This is because good education will create good Human Resources (HR), and good Human Resources (HR) will certainly be more optimal in developing and advancing the country. Regarding the importance of education for a citizen in an effort to realize a virtuous nation's civilization, the Indonesian government provides a concrete formulation of national education goals. The learning outcomes are not only in the form of mastery of knowledge, but also skills and skills in seeing, analyzing and solving problems, making plans and making distributions. work, thus the activities and products resulting from these learning activities get an assessment. Assessment is not only done in writing, but also orally and performance appraisal. This study aims to analyze the effect of the cooperative script learning model on student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Istiqamah Igobula.The type of research used in this study was quasi-experimental The design used in this study was the Two group pretest-posttest design. In this design, two groups were selected, then given a pretest to find out early whether there were differences between the experimental groups. and control group. The experimental group is the group that is treated with the Cooperative Script learning model and the control group is the group that is not treated with the conventional learning model. The results of student activities during the learning process are quite good, as well as the activities of a researcher who is observed by the teacher in question is in accordance with the lesson plan that has been set. Based on the results of the analysis carried out with the t test, the t value obtained = 1.733 at a significant level of 0.05 which states that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence between the influence of the Cooperative Script learning model on the learning outcomes of students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Istiqamah Igobula. Keywords: Cooperative script learning ourcome

Abstract

The people of Ternate are part of the local wisdom of the Indonesian people who have traditional knowledge about the use of medicinal plants. This knowledge is passed down from generation to generation. Traditional knowledge about medicinal plants needs to be documented through ethnobotanical research so that it is not lost by the younger generation. The preservation of traditional knowledge is outlined in the form of booklet teaching materials. A booklet is a small book that contains a summary and interesting pictures. Thus, the existence of booklets in learning can not only preserve traditional knowledge, but can also increase students' interest in learning biology. The type of research used is research and development using the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The results showed that the percentage of the validity of the booklet teaching materials from the material aspect was 89% with very valid criteria and the validity percentage from the language aspect was 88.9% with very valid criteria From these results, it can be concluded that the teaching materials for the ethnobotany study of medicinal plants of the Ternate community are suitable for use. Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with biology teachers at SMA Negeri 5 Palopo, it was found that problems that often occur in the teaching and learning process are students who are less active in learning, so a model and learning media are needed. The guided inquiry learning model assisted by video media is an alternative in increasing students' conceptual understanding of mushrooms (fungi). The type in this study used a Quasi Experiment with a Non-equivalent control group design research design. The population in this study were students of Class X SMA Negeri 5 Palopo. The group that was used as a sample was class XMia1 as the experimental class and class XMia2 as the control class. The instrument in this study used a learning achievement test. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential analysis. Inferential analysis using normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis test. The results showed that the average pretest score for the experimental class was 40.42, while the posttest average score for the experimental class was 84.00. The average value of the control class pretest was 41.52, while the posttest average value of the control class was 80.39. The hypothesis test shows that (2.37 <0.05), it can be concluded that the use of video-assisted inquiry learning models has an effect on students' understanding of concepts in the Fungi subject.Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Videos, Understanding Concepts

Abstract

Based on a field survey, the drainage water in the tofu factory area in Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya is suspected to be polluted. As a form of proof of the assumption, laboratory analysis was carried out. The analysis used is in the form of water quality analysis based on the MPN (Most Probable Number) Coliform which consists of three test stages, namely an estimation test using Lactose Broth (KL) medium, a confirmation test using Brilliant Green Lactose Broth (BGLBB) medium, and a certainty test using Mac Conkey Agar (MCA) medium. This type of research is a direct survey method and laboratory analysis. This research was carried out in October 2021. The results of this study based on the formula and table of MPN values for three tube series obtained with the total MPN Coliform values of 20-2400 cells/100 ml and 247 colonies so that the drainage water quality of the tofu factory area in Jekan Raya District, Palangka Raya in the category of polluted and unfit for consumption.Keywords: Drainage water, Coliform, Most Probable Number, Water quality.

Abstract

Areca catechu L. is a type of palm whose direct use is still limited to certain consumers. This plant is rich in benefits. The use of areca nut is different from one area to another. This study deserves to be researched, as information for the Indonesian people about the use of areca nut. This study aims to identify betel nut species and to assess the use of betel nuts by the people of North Maluku. This research was a qualitative research. This research was conducted in 3 locations, namely 1 location in Jailolo Selatan sub-district to be precise in Sukadamai Village, West Halmahera Regency and 2 locations in Tidore Islands, precisely in Gurabunga Village and Rum Village. This research was conducted in June-July 2019. The data collection technique was done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using a plant identification book and matching it with several references from research journals, while for interviews used data reduction techniques, data display, drawing conclusions and verification. Based on the research results, there are 5 species of areca nut, namely the common areca nut, the pare areca nut, the round areca nut, the areca nut, and the areca palm. As for the use of areca nut by the people of North Maluku, namely as an ingredient for daily consumption (chewing) with lime and betel, itching medicine, appetite enhancer for children and adults, eye purifier, cleaning the tongue in toddlers, overcoming discomfort in children. mouths of adults, anti migraine, traditional events (weddings, ceremonies for inviting genies), medicine for people with liver disease, and washing wounds.

Abstract

One of the rich fauna in the Widi Island, including coral reefs, seagrass beds, shellfish and fish. To preserve these fauna, especially shellfish, you can develop student worksheets that are used for the learning process on invertebrate material. The aims of the research were to develop LKS (Student Worksheets) based on the diversity and population density of Tridacna in the waters of the Widi Islands and to analyze the validity of student worksheets based on the diversity and population density of Tridacna in the waters of the Widi Islands. The development of LKS based on diversity and population density of Tridacna in the waters of the Widi Islands uses the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages. However, in this study the authors only reached the development stage, due to time and cost constraints. As for the development stage that the author did, namely the Analysis stage (Analyze), Design (Design) and Development stage (Develop). The validity level of LKS based on diversity and population density of Tridacna in the waters of the Widi Islands obtained an average score for the material expert validator, namely 3.87 with valid criteria. For media expert validators, an average score of 4.05 is obtained with valid criteria. The total average number of the two validators is 3.96 with valid criteria, so it can be concluded that student worksheets are feasible to use.Keywords: Development of LKS, Tridacna, Widi Islands

Abstract

This study aims to determine the results of the development of Discovery Learning-based Handout learning media at SMAN 17 Luwu. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) which refers to the ADDIE development research design which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The population of this study were all students of class XII SMAN 17 Luwu and the sample of this study was class XII MIPA 2 who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were in the form of validation sheets, questionnaires and learning achievement tests. Data analysis techniques used in this study are validity test, practicality test and effectiveness test. The results of research on the development of Handout learning media based on Discovery Learning at SMAN 17 Luwu show that: (1) media expert validation test data obtained a validity percentage of 87.5% (very valid) while material experts obtained 84.3% (valid) (2) test the practicality of the teacher's response to the product was 95% (very practical) while the student's response to the product was 71.05% (practical) (3) the effectiveness data was obtained 85% (very effective). The conclusion from the development of Discovery Learning-based Handout learning media can be used in Metabolism material at SMAN 17 Luwu.Keywords: development; handout learning media based on discovery learning

Abstract

Seagrass beds are one of the ecosystems that play an important role in marine life. This study aims to determine the type and community structure of seagrass beds based on the species diversity index, dominance index, and seagrass evenness index in the waters of Gurabosa Island, West Halmahera Regency. The research method uses the quadrant transect method with a size of 0.5 x 0.5 m. The results showed that the composition of the seagrass found consisted of 5 species of seagrass namely Enhalus acoroides, Halophyla ovalis, Thalassia hempricii, Cymodocea rotundata, Syringodim isoetifolium. The species diversity index (H') is included in the low species diversity criteria because the value of H' ˂ 1. The dominance index is also included in the low dominance criteria or no seagrass species dominate between stations. The evenness index of seagrass in the waters of Gurabosa Island is included in the low criteria. The low value of the evenness index of seagrass at the three stations is caused by the low index of seagrass diversity.Keywords: seagrass, community structure, diversity index, Gurabosa island.

Abstract

This research is motivated by teaching and learning activities which are mostly teacher-centered due to the selection of models and methods that are not appropriate with the material presented by the subject teacher, so that student learning outcomes are low, especially in biology subjects in class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang, Wajo Regency. This study aims to determine the improvement of biology learning outcomes through photographic media with a combination of the Sole learning model (Self Organized Learning Environments) for class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang. This type of research is classroom action research (Classroom Action Research) involving repeated self-reflection, namely planning, implementing actions, observing/observing, and reflecting. This research was carried out in two cycles, where between cycle I and cycle II were a series of interrelated activities. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2020/2021 academic year in March for students of class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang with a total of 20 students. The data collected are quantitative and qualitative data. The instruments used in this study were student activity observation sheets and learning outcomes test questions in the form of essay questions. The results showed that the application of the Sole learning model (Self Organized Learning Environments) could improve student learning outcomes in biology class XI MIPA 2 Madrasah Aliyah Muhammadiyah Sengkang. This is evidenced by the average value of learning outcomes in the first cycle, which is 76.50%, increasing in the second cycle to 89.00%. While the number of students who reached the KKM in the first cycle was 8 people and increased in the second cycle to 20 people.Keywords: learning outcomes, SOLE learning model.

Abstract

Chicken egg shell is one of the wastes that can be recycled and is very easy to find in everyday life because it is the basic ingredient of various foods and cakes that can be used as a product so that it can reduce and protect the environment from waste. Dried egg shells contain about 95% calcium carbonate with a weight of 5.5 grams. Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in agriculture is used to accelerate the growth process in plants and as a plant pest control. The high calcium carbonate content of chicken egg shells can be used as a source of nutrients for plants, one of which is the Myristica fragrans Houtt plant. The objectives are 1). Analyzing the effect of organic fertilizer from chicken egg shells on the growth of Miristica fragrans Houtt. 2). Analyzing the levels of organic fertilizer from chicken egg shells that have the most effect in accelerating the growth of Miristica fragrans Houtt plants. The type in this research is quantitative research with experimental methods. This study used a randomized block design (RAK) consisting of 8 treatments and 5 replications. The research results are 1). There was a significant effect of organic fertilizer from chicken egg shells on the growth of Miristica fragrans Houtt plants for plant height, while the number of leaves, leaf length and leaf width had no significant effect. 2). The level of organic fertilizer from chicken egg shells that had the most effect on plant height, number of leaves, leaf length and leaf width of the Myristica fragrans Houtt plant was 25 grams.
