Abstract

UPTD SDN13 has a problem of not having new books with the latest content available. Most of the library's collection contains outdated content. This problem needs to be addressed immediately, as information that is no longer relevant changes over time and years of research, and such information is generally available for free on the Internet. Therefore, it is possible to develop an application that collects such data and provides access to it. This research aims to increase the interest of SDN13 students in reading study materials and to facilitate their access to the latest materials. The development methodology adopted in this study is agile methodology and application testing is carried out using UAT (User Acceptance Testing) approach and white box testing methodology. As a result of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) testing, the score obtained by teachers was 85.66% and the 6th grade students obtained 94.13%. Therefore, the UAT results show that this application meets the criteria of being "highly suitable" for implementation in UPTD SDN 13 Sungailiat

Abstract

The increase in the area of agricultural land in Indonesia makes the need for fertilisers continue to increase. Compost is one type of natural organic that is widely known by farmers that comes from organic materials that undergo weathering processes due to interactions between microorganisms (decaying bacteria) that work in it. Elephant grass is one of the plants that can be used as compost and has enormous potential. The existing elephant grass chopping machine still uses a serrated blade. So that the chopping cannot be chopped properly. In this study, the elephant grass chopping machine will be modified into an elephant grass chopping machine that uses HSS (High Speed Steel) material blades and the machine is driven by a 1 hp electric motor. The purpose of this research is to change the elephant grass chopping machine with HSS (High Speed Steel) blades and to make cutting faster. The research method used is experimental research using the French method and the Reverse Enginering Method The design process of the elephant grass chopping machine uses the Solidwork application. The test material used is 1000gr for one test. The resulting average is perfectly chopped as much as 897 gr, not perfectly chopped as much as 17.7 gr left / in the tube 84 gr, with a time of 60.08 seconds. The production capacity of the machine is 56.06 kg/hour. The machine that has been made is able to chop elephant grass with product efficiency.

Abstract

Laminated composites are composed of multiple layers that work together to achieve specific properties. Several factors influence the strength of these composites, including the quality of the surface layers, the strength of the bonds between layers, the adhesion properties, and the thermal behavior. The adhesive plays a crucial role in connecting the layers to form a laminated composite. This study investigates the effect of environmental exposure on the bond strength between the surfaces of laminated composite layers. The laminated composites are made from mahogany wood and are adhered using PVAc adhesive under a pressure of 2 MPa for 30 minutes. After being prepared, the samples are allowed to sit for several days before being immersed in distilled water, seawater, and vegetable oil. Each immersion lasts for 24 hours. The results indicate that the laminated composites experienced a degradation of mechanical properties following exposure to distilled water, seawater, and vegetable oil. Among these, distilled water had the most detrimental effect on the performance of the laminated composite, while exposure to vegetable oil resulted in relatively insignificant changes to its mechanical properties.

Abstract

Andisol contains ingredients amorphous and non-crystalline clay that causes Andisol have high P-retention. Steel slag and bokashi of rice husk are expected not only to decrease P-retention but also to improve the chemical, physical and biological properties. This experiment was aimed to the interaction, relationship and combination steel slag with bokashi of rice husk to the chemical, physical and biological properties in Andisol. This study used a randomized block design factorial with two factors. The first factor was steel slag and the second factor was rice husk bokashi each consists of 4 levels is 0%, 2,5%, 5,0% and 7,5% ), so total of treatment were 4 x 4 = 16 combinations of treatments and 48 experimental plots. The results of this research showed that the interaction between steel slag with bokashi rice husks to decreased in soil bulk density, but there was no interaction effect on the P-available and total bacterial population. Provision of steel slag effect on P-available, but did not affect the total bacterial population. Bokashi Award rice husk did not affect the P-available and total bacterial population. There was the best treatment combination between steel slag 2.5% to 2.5% bokashi of rice husks decrease soil bulk density of 0.81 g cm-3 to 0.62 g cm-3.

Abstract

Pollen is a microscopic spore that plays a crucial role in the reproduction of seed plants. Pollen management has significant benefits, especially in hybrid seed production, but its viability tends to decline during storage. This study aims to determine the best medium for pollen germination in ten different plant species, namely starfruit, pumpkin, papaya, durian, bougainvillea, four o'clock flower, sweet potato, butterfly flower, chili, and eggplant. The research method used two media: Brewbacker and Kwack (BK) and Pollen Germination Medium (PGM), with two observation times (2 hours and 4 hours). The results showed that the BK medium was suitable for sweet potato and eggplant pollen, while the PGM medium was suitable for starfruit, pumpkin, bougainvillea, and butterfly flower pollen. Meanwhile, durian and four o'clock flower pollen were able to germinate in both media. The differences in pollen germination ability were influenced by genotype, flower age, as well as temperature and humidity. This study confirms that selecting the appropriate germination medium affects pollen viability, which in turn influences the success of pollination and fruit production.

Abstract

The development of 3D printing technology has opened up great opportunities in various industries, especially in the manufacture of complex three-dimensional objects. However, the quality of the print results is greatly influenced by the physical and mechanical properties of the filament used. The filament production process, especially in filament extruder machines, requires extra attention to operational parameters such as extrusion temperature and screw rotation speed. Variations in these parameters significantly affect filament quality, such as tensile strength and thickness, which can decrease if not properly adjusted. This study aims to analyze the effect of extrusion temperature and screw rotation speed parameters on filament quality, and to determine the optimal settings using the Taguchi method. The results showed that screw rotation speed is the most significant faktor in determining filament diameter with a contribution of 73%. In addition, extrusion temperature contributes 17.6%. Through optimization using the Taguchi method, it is known that the optimal extrusion temperature is 250°C with a screw rotation speed of 5 RPM, producing filament with a diameter of 1.8 mm.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency and productivity of the production machine for Keripik Telur Cumi (Keritcu), a traditional snack from Bangka made from squid eggs and sago. The research employs a quantitative approach by measuring operational time, production capacity, energy consumption, and defective product rates. Efficiency analysis was conducted using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) indicators, which include machine availability, performance, and product quality. The results show a machine efficiency rate of 75% with an average productivity of 2.5 kg/hour. The OEE value of 45% falls below the ideal industry standard (>85%), with a daily downtime of 1 hour and a product rejection rate of 10%. Improvement recommendations include reducing downtime, increasing production speed, and lowering the defect rate through machine optimization and operator training. The implementation of these recommendations is expected to enhance efficiency, productivity, and the product's competitiveness in the market.

Abstract

The development of information technology has influenced various fields, including education. At the Babel State Manufacturing Polytechnic, the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program aims to provide flexibility for students in choosing learning activities. However, the implementation of the program is often hampered by administrative problems, such as delays in submitting credit claims to the academic advisor. To overcome this, a web-based information system was developed that facilitates the process of claiming and recapitulating credits online. This study used the prototyping method with blackbox testing involving 13 respondents. The test results showed a user acceptance score (UAT) of 84.92%, indicating that this system is feasible to implement. With this system, students can submit claims and recap credits independently without depending on the presence of lecturers, thereby increasing the efficiency and transparency of credit management. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the quality of administrative services at the Babel State Manufacturing Polytechnic.

Abstract

Technological developments have encouraged the use of generator sets as an alternative source of electricity, but this also causes problems, such as excessive heat production that disrupts comfort in the work area. This study aims to utilize sawdust and egg tray waste as heat-insulating materials for generator sets. Sawdust, which is often discarded, can be utilized to reduce the negative impacts of using generator sets and overcome environmental pollution caused by this waste. Previous studies have shown that the combination of sawdust and starch at certain temperatures can produce products with good compressive strength. The results of the ANOVA analysis in this study showed that the volume fraction of 35%: 15% with a thickness of 20 mm gave the highest heat absorption coefficient of 43.06°C, while the volume fraction of 40%: 10% with a thickness of 10 mm produced the lowest value of 35.8°C. These findings emphasize the importance of selecting volume fractions and thicknesses in increasing heat absorption efficiency, as well as providing alternative solutions for the management of sawdust and egg tray waste.
